  1. I've posted what Ben Benson said to me. Also posted what Steve Waggott and Tony Mowbray said to media Another poster posted what Scott Wharton said. Plus another posted what the ground staff said before the game. Plus Rovers goalkeepers did a full warm up on the pitch after it was called off. Surely if it was unfit to play on would Mowbray allow his goalkeepers to do a full warm up on it. How much more do you want? What evidence have you got that the pitch was unfit to play on? Given 2.45pm the ground was in Sunshine for over hour and half surely the game should have gone ahead? Also surely Rovers groundstaff are the pitch experts?
  2. Whilst Bielsa has done a good job there, is these injuries issues down to training methods?
  3. A fantastic Final Five! | rovers.co.uk Good fair price for people for the last 5 games. The Rovers players need your support for the final run in and you might just watch us get Automatic Promotion The Bournemouth home game could be the game that we get automatic promotion. COYB!
  4. What do people think of Collingwood being interim head coach for test series in West Indies? Strauss's biggest decision is to appoint permanent director of cricket? Not much leaking out about his search but I wouldn't be surprise if we appoint Alec Stewart or Paul Farbrace in that role. Then we have 3 positions(Chief selector role, test head coach and ODI/twenty20 head coach) to fill and sort Root's test captaincy future.
  5. Looks good on Match of the day. Whether January is the good time to strengthen or not, Burnley need 3 or 4 signings surely. Plus given that you had 20 million pounds plus to spend and surely the club and Dyche should have strengthen more? Plus looking at your potential squad for next season surely some investment in signing younger players for next season could have happen?
  6. I was talking about the Home game against PNE on the 4th of December. Guys, I was talking about the Preston home game on the 4th December at Ewood Park which was played in worst conditions than Saturday pitch. The pitch was totally playable as the Rovers ground staff, Both clubs CEO, managers and players. I have seen worst pitches being played on league 1 and 2 level even Conferfence north level.
  7. The pitch was more than playable. All back up by the ground staff, Both clubs CEO, managers and players all said the game should have gone ahead. We have seen worst pitches than the Saturday one at Ewood Park over this season and the last 30 years. The only person to blame is the ref to be honest. No JH, you want to keep blame the club for the pitch not being playable when every body wanted to play it and thought the pitch was more than playable. Look at Scott Wharton's comments that Darrenrovers posted. That pitch was not unplayable and it was then how did the PNE game go ahead. I've not bother about other teams getting their games on and who didn't. I am bother about Rovers. You are obsess with blaming Rovers staff and the owners at every time you can. I don't and won't unlike its necessary
  8. Its simple who was responsible for yesterday game being called off and the only person responsible was the referee. The club did everything it should have done, the ground staff make sure the pitch was playable and the managers and players of both side wanted to be play the game. The club is not responsible for the game being called out. Elland road pitch today was much worst then our but that game was played started and finished.
  9. Jim, I agree that Referees should speak to the media about their decisions but we know the FA and refereeing body won't let ever happen. If you are that bothered by this then email/write a letter to the FA, Premier League, Football league and PGMOL about it Do something about it. take action Jim
  10. Cos they didn't and never will. Its the way it is. I would like to know myself why they make these decisions but I don't expect it will happen any time soon
  11. Excellent game of football to watch for the neutral between Leeds and Manchester United. Let's hope the next game is between Wolves and Leicester.
  12. Waggott's comment yesterday on the Rovers official website and Radio Lancs why after the decisions. You honestly think the referee body is going to allow make public why they make decisions?
  13. an interesting article on the woes at Reading FC It Doesn't Make For Good Reading - FootballTyper
  14. I think I can remember Dack taking a penalty for us before. I don't think anyone else has. Maybe Pickering did for Crewe I don't know. Maybe Khadra can take them but I don't think most have taking penalty in game before
  15. I don't remember seeing most of our current squad ever take penalties in their career
  16. Mowbray saying in the LT that both he and Rowett wanted to play the game Blackburn Rovers and Millwall managers wanted game to go ahead | Lancashire Telegraph
  17. Still in disbelief that Reading has appointed Paul Ince as Interim manager. Would be interesting to know how they reach this appointment and will he get the job permanent if he does well there. Or are they waiting Kia Joorabchian to find them a manager/head coach suitable? Couldn't think of worst appointment tbh
  18. Its just guess who I think would take them. But we don't have natural penalty taker in the 11. maybe Rothwell or Khadra might be a penalty taker.
  19. Heckingbottom has done a good job there since taking over from Jokanovic. He has gone back to a formation and style that suits the players there. Jokanovic seems not to want to play that way. From what I have read he was never the first choice there. Its will be very tough game and we need to be defensive solid and make sure we kept Billy Sharp quiet. Would I make any changes to the team that was meant to play against Millwall? probably bring in Dolan for Khadra. Dolan speed and closing down their back 3 players will force mistakes from them and it how was capitalise on them by scoring. My team Kaminski; Lenihan, Van Hecke, Wharton; Nyambe Travis Rothwell, Pickering; Buckley; Dolan, Gallagher
  20. Fantastic game between Man City vs Spurs. 3-2 Spurs
  21. He did make the match day squad in the 20/21 season when he came on against Reading and almost scored when he hot the cross bar. Given how we played with the current system I didn't see the need for another option. Even if we switch formation to 4-3-3 we have enough options for me. Used those 2 players as examples. agreed on that last point We do have a plan b which would 4-3-3 formation with either Brereton Diaz or Gallagher or Dolan central. Then pick your 2 wide players to play
