  1. Armstrong is a goalscorer and his stats in the last 18 months back that up when played as number 9 striker position Brighton owner Tony Bloom is a billionaire Jim. You say that Brighton are in debt by 279 million pounds but that is owed to their owner just like ours is owed to our owners. Plus they have spent over 200 million pounds over the last 4 years(seasons 18/19 to 21/22) and will continue to spend this summer.
  2. still in billion pounds worth of debt tho
  3. Like I said if Norwich want to sell Hugill and loan Idah then they would need another striker. Will Sargent meet our work permit rules? We know we have PL clubs chasing him and no offer has been acceptable yet plus where does Armstrong want to go to? Good spot there
  4. Well maybe they should have gone for a manager/head coach who played 3-5-2 formation regularly given the squad there? Thats where this FFP rules are so wrong cos they favour these relegation teams from PL. but thats a debate for another day hopefully
  5. I was just asking as it is years since I bought a pint from Rovers on a match day.
  6. why not? Armstrong fits Southampton way of playing and formation. Plus Armstrong has scored 46 goals over the last 2 season. So hardly a one hit wonder. Maybe look at Wilder and why didn't he get the best out of McBurnie last season.
  7. and what does that matter? Spurs owe nearly 1 billion pounds due to the stadium cost I believe and spending 40 million pounds on a defender and 60 million on a striker. Man Utd have debt but still paying 73 million on Sancho
  8. Could the club not used outside the stadium where the tents are during half time as the concourse area is busy at time? How much is it for a pint these days at Ewood?
  9. Probably down to players having injuries or self isolating of a positive test. Plus a lot of championship clubs haven't had properly pre season like training camp overseas or pre season friendly. Sheffield United have only had 1 pre season game. Plus clubs are waiting on PL clubs for loan like us or Stoke for example. Plus the Market hasn't really started yet
  10. They are media reports that Ramsdale is off to Arsenal shortly and Berge set to leave so will Jokanovic spend some money. I surprised he didn't play 4-3-3 or 4 at the back with diamond shape midfield and 2 strikers. Will be interesting how he does when he bring in some transfers as I think they need mini overhaul up if they to get top 6 this season I disagree on the quality of this league as I think apart from 4 teams who have kept their best players from relegation last season or Bournemouth who have a good squad overall and I rate Parker as manager. You seem a much of clubs who have good players but clubs that aren't willing to throwing millions after promotion and failing FFP like Reading and Derby have. Reading have only 16 senior players in the squad for yesterday game now after releasing players and loan players have left. Still expect another sale there of Joao or Puscas to balance their books there. on us, I expect us to make the signings we need for the squad overall and that will allow us to get a mid table finish which I would be happy with
  11. Who knows. He is still reporting the offer and said its on the CEO desk from Norwich. Brighton have just received 50 million pounds for the sale of Ben White so they have the money. Plus last season they biggest problem was goals. Being reported by Dan Sheldon(The Athletic Southampton Reporter) that Southampton have table a take it or leave it new transfer bid for Armstrong. Don't know what the new transfer bid is yet. I can see Palace going to 15 million pounds plus few add ons but will Southampton match that. Surely they have to since he would fit the way of playing and system used by Hasenhuttl there.
  12. Surprised by the result and scoreline when I heard the result in the car on the way home. Surprised they played 3-5-2 only to change it at half time. Long way to go but expect them to struggle along with Huddersfield, Reading, Derby, Peterborough, Hull and Blackpool.
  13. in league 1, Good wins for Sunderland against Wigan and Wycombe against Stanley. Morecambe got a good point at Ipswich. Look like it will be good competitive league. I think Sunderland, Wigan, Wycombe and Ipswich will be changing for the top 2 spots in the league. In League 2, Gary Bowyer's Salford got a point with Orient yesterday. I think they should win the league this season.
  14. 12 millions plus adds on's Do Norwich not need another striker anyway since they are looking to sell/loan their striker in Hugill?
  15. Very surprised by Jokanovic's tactics at Sheffield United in last game playing 4-4-2 with Fleck and McGoldrick as inverted wingers. He hasn't made a signing yet there which surprised me. few draws yesterday but Surprised that Hull beat Preston 4-1 away and How good Luton looked good yesterday on the highlights. Will be interesting how Fulham vs Middlesbrough game is today
  16. Norwich have offered 15 million pounds plus Idah on loan. 4 or 5 PL clubs need strikers at the minute so wouldn't surprise if West Ham or Brighton bid for Armstrong when a fee is agree with another PL club
  17. Didn't Birmingham play 5-3-2 with Colin and Bela as wing backs? I didn't underrstand why Sheffield United play Fleck and McGoldrick as inverted wingers. Strange
  18. I see him playing either roles depending on what we need from the frontline. He is a young player who will get better. I hope and expect his finishing will improve and he should be doinh extra training on his finishing but I enjoyed his enthusiasm and pace/tricky to watch Is this what your source is saying to you? Do you mean Jordan Hugill from Norwich? can we afford his wages. I agree we need to get Armstrong sold this week cos we can't keep letting it go on.
  19. Yes it should be. But haven't we offered new contracts to Nyambe and Rothwell? Rothwell's thumbs up to the fans yesterday when we sung his name shows what the fans think of him.
  20. Mowbray said he will speak to the owners about some money being available to sign players on permanent deals if Armstrong leaves
  21. Yes Dolan is still a very raw but his work rate and desire to win the ball back. Dolan needs to work on his scoring. It will come for him. Very talented player Not intereste in Evidence but defenders who come forward for set pieces should be scoring minimum of 4 goals a season for example I think we need a striker who has pace or technical ability to replace Armstrong. A back up left back to challenge Pickering for last back. 1 centre midfielder, 1 wide player and possible centre back depending on Ayala and Wharton fitness then use the under 23 players otherwise
