  1. I think last season he shown more than glimpses and I said this summer that I thought he would replace Armstrong goals and set up to the plate and score goals. So far he has done this and done excellent so far. on his first 2 seasons he wasn't given enough game time here and used has a sub player. Well when we signed him I was happy with him cos from what Ive seen of him thought we signed a talent player. I can see him going to Spanish or Portuguese club tbh this summer if he continue his performances and keep scoring. I don't see him here next season unless he gets a long term injury.
  2. Yes players like Rothwell, Nyambe and Lenihan have been offered new improved contracts by club as we were told a couple of weeks ago. But if they want to move on and look for better contract or move to new club then we can't stop them. With the Championship money tree ending at most clubs now and the vast of majority of championship club cutting back on their wage bill now. Its a risky strategy for them. If they want to sign new contracts here great and I would be happy about but if they only want to chase the money tree or want a new challenge at new club then good luck to them in the future, But I would hope that if we are going to sell any of these out of contract players like Lenihan, Nyambe, Rothwell, Davenport then our chief of Recruitment and his recruitment team have players being scouted right now and we have lined up players we will sign when or if they go. I know who I would look at to replace Lenihan and Nyambe with. But going back to Brereton is I don't see him here next season unless he picks up serious long term injury. If we can get 15 million pounds this summer then I expected we would accept that and invest some of them towards signings and some of it towards the budget and offsetting the club season losses.
  3. I've only seen Rangers interested in Rothwell but not seen other clubs linked/interested in Nyambe or Lenihan. Have I missed that? Yes they might be easier to do in your mind but they still need the club to be attractive to them by offering them the opportunity to play and develop as a player. Lenihan and Rothwell are mid/late 20 and I would expect them to want to explore their options and thats what they are doing. If they aren't willing to commit to the club then we need to sell them in January and bring in replacements that want to be here
  4. I deffo don't agreed cos his performances this season have been very good and he is scoring goals. Similar form to Armstrong in the previous 18 months. Yes he scored a good goal this morning for Chile but he is performing well for his nation team. He has been improving for the past 14 months before this season and will continue to do so. I expected we will received 12 to 15 million pounds for him this summer and I expected we accept the bid and reinvested it in the squad. We are allowed to make 39 million pounds losses over 3 seasons and I haven't seen a change to this rule and regulation. Has this change recently? I agree on players have to sold if those players won't sign new contracts in January. Those players are Rothwell, Lenihan and Nyambe. Yes we have to keep the wage bill down but we should be looking at players with 6 months left on their contracts and signing them in January like John Souttar who I see was linked with us yesterday and I think Rovers are looking for Lenihan replacement already.
  5. Dolan and Buckley are key players to the team this season and deserved their new contracts. Dolan has been outstanding since joining the club and will only get better as time goes on. I would be looking at new 5 years contract already for him. and to be honest the same for Buckley who I think so far has shown his quality to the team again this season
  6. IMO, plenty would have argued against a new contract for him before this season or even last season. But we have been in talks with him for a while over a new contract. I have always been a fan of him and thought he would make it here and produced the goals he should here. Shame its come 3 years in but thats it. It would be something his agent would ask for if if any new deal imo.
  7. I agree he has been one of best performing players since the first lockdown. I agree he is unlikely to be here next season Did we lose Armstrong for cut price really given we got between 15 to 18 Million pounds. I heard similar arguments when we sold Gestede to Villa for 6 million we sold him cheap despite that being the higher bid we received and he wanted out. really Rigger? 10 goals this season in the championship already for Rovers and he is Chilean International and scoring goals for them. Suggest you look again there at that post Mercer, you are ignoring his form from when the season resume after the first lockdown and then last season where he was good form of performing and scoring. I expected he will be gone by this summer 2022 to a PL club or La Liga club given his form and how he is performing this season for Rovers and Chile.
  8. No he is represented by Wasserman. The same agency as Bradley Dack and Bradley Johnson. Agreed there. 3 years contract with wages same as Dack and 15 million pounds release clause in the deal. Seems a fair deal
  9. In the last few months? Buckley, Dolan, Carter and Wharton were given new contracts. Given that 2 of those players are key players/assests for the club this season and beyond. Well if he wants explore his options what can the club do. I hope we can get him on a long term contract with 15 to 20 million pounds release clause in the contract
  10. If you mean the arrangement fee for paying monthly for your season ticket. If correct it was £36.71 at the start of the season
  11. He's has 18 months left on his contract technically.. Would anyone have give him a new contract 6 months ago? Very few of us I guess
  12. Delighted for Brereton Diaz scoring again for Chile. Let's hope so. We have club 12 months contract option. So that's will ensure we get 15 million pounds plus for him. If we could get him on long term contract we would be delighted for him
  13. Doesn't matter who we sign but any embargo means no cash buys or loan fees for us. Alot of players who were out of contract last summer wouldn't have improve our squad. Plus just look at the Embargo at Derby and who they signed there. Waggott explained what happened earlier on in the summer so unless you can prove otherwise then we go with what we know. I was talking in terms of transfers fees and finding bargains out there like Edun or Kaminski in the first place That's contract extensions were unique situation for Rovers. We moved on from there now. We were more financially and footballing sensible this summer like cutting the deadwood here
  14. Maglorie will be released at the end of the season in my opinion. not good enough. I think Souttar transfer would makes sense and on a free would be excellent piece of business. Imagine Park and his staff are the one looking at Souttar and alot of players currently with us possibly having to rebuild the squad this summer coming,
  15. fair enough. The money would be going to Rovers and helping the finances of the club not Waggott in all fairness if it wasn't going to the East Lancs Hospice
  16. well given that Lenihan is out of contract in the summer I would see Souttar as a direct replacement for Lenihan. Plus given that Ayala only has a year left on his contract aswell.
  17. Don't believe Jim was being that way in the first place
  18. Fair.enough..Whilst I understand your frustration about not getting your money as some of people I go attend with had similar problem with no streaming facilities. Im no fan of streaming football at all.. But they have gone this season as season ticket holders as they missed live football and Rovers cos of the pandemic.. Is that the only reason for not attending Ewood Park games or all games? And do you not missed attending Rovers games? Ok. Do you support them as a second team? Do you feel the same connection to them as Rovers?
  19. Rovers interested Hearts centre back John Souttar who is out of contract this summer 2022. https://the72.co.uk/252849/stoke-city-and-blackburn-rovers-interested-in-hearts-defender-john-souttar/ Souttar is a good player and someone I've rated for a while. Think he would be good signing here.
  20. no we didn't cos we didn't over spend in this summer window that would have put Rovers into another embargo. We still some money left to bring in a new striker in January. Well the EFL have to approve every deal, no loan fees can be paid and you are limited to 10k a week in wages. Plus no transfer fees can be paid. Meaning we wouldn't have signed Edun from Lincoln. Just look at Derby's summer signings cos they were in embargo and you would be happy with them. Tell me alot. Even when you look this summer free transfer/out of contract signings clubs made they weren't great quality in my opinion apart from a couple of players like Sonny Bradley and Ryan Woods. Rovers have to be more financial sensible and smarter in the transfer markets where we find these gems of players in the markets we are looking in. Given John Park's scouting and recruitment experience and knowledge should be able to find these players along with the rest of the scouts and recruitment analysis staff
  21. well of course they will be allowed. Plus don't forget who negotiation the buying of the club and has worked with PFI group for years is a woman in Amanda Staveley who I believe will run the club in a director role
  22. did you take this stance when Kean or Coyle was Rovers manager? and do you feel a connect to AFC Darwen now?
  23. Sam Burns is bang in form and for me should be on the bench for the Coventry game if Gallagher isn't available and Brereton isn't back in time and cant be on the bench. Always like the look of him from the first game I've watched him played for under 16's
  24. fallen for what? where you at the Blackpool away game and how did he ignore the fans at Blackpool? Is this based that he didn't come over to the fans at the end of the game. if so I don't see it as problem as the players came over and 2 players gave the shirts to the fans. And in fact in the last minutes of the game the Rovers fans were singing Tony Mowbray's Blue and White Army. Allardyce or Hughes never used to come to the fans at end of the game but didn't see you complaining then. It was the best atmosphere this season and speaking to a few Blackpool work friends after the game who said it was good game and we deserved a point from that game. Plus our fans were fantastic at the game. agreed there
  25. On 18 December 2015, it was announced that a new deal had been signed with American investors Josh Harris and David Blitzer.[104] The club stated that Steve Parish would continue as chairman alongside Harris and Blitzer as general partners in a new structure, and that Browett, Long and Hosking would also retain a substantial investment. The company accounts later showed that the ownership figures were: Steve Parish 18%, Steve Browett 5%, Jeremy Hosking 5% and Martin Long 2.5% with the remainder being owned by Palace Holdco LP (a limited partnership registered in Delaware) 67.5% and Palace Parallel LLC (a company also registered in Delaware) 1.5%. Both Palace Holdco and Palace Parallel have 180 preference shares each. As the Delaware companies do not have to reveal their owners, the exact ownership of the club is therefore unknown, but Steve Parish did confirm that each of Harris and Blitzer had an 18% share to match his own. In August 2021 John Textor, another American investor, joined as a fourth partner with an investment of £87.5 million. Crystal Palace F.C. - Wikipedia
