The county championship needs to be played during the week with 2 twenty20 games between Friday to Sunday at the weekend. I don't see why this cannot be done. What is wrong with pitches on day 3 breaking up and allowing Spinners to come to the fore. This is another problem with the ECB and allowing players to face conditions they will face in other countries Bairstow wouldn't be in my starting 11 at all. He had enough chances and not performed enough now. Buttler and Curran should have be in this second test squad at least. I would be looking at bringing Hameed in for Sibley and Stokes in Crawley allowing Pope or Lawrence to bat at 3 then. Buttler replacing Bracey and bringing in a spinner like Leach for Stone. The test format need to be the number 1 priority now but with 2 different captains and the squad being very different do see why we can't have dual priorities over the past years. No interested in the hundred one bit and the ECB is wrong for bringing this format of the game. I wouldn't replacing Sliverwood at this stage as we are rebuilding the batting line up and at some point replacing Anderson and Board in the near future. Judge is 15 months for me. if a change is needed then thats the time to do it. But don't forget we aren't an awful team but according to the rankings we are fourth best team. Thorpe is assistant head coach with Collingwood under Sliverwood. Probably scouting for Sliverwood now that he is head of selection aswell for the 20twenty team.

These restrictions should be more relaxed than currently. Just got to look at the cricket match that allowed eighteen thousands people inside the ground. Guys, you can keep blaming Sliverwood or the coaching staff but these players are the best players in the country and some of the best averages in the county game this season. You got Graham Thorpe as Batting coach there who is one of English best test batsman in the last 25 years. Pope and Burns both average 61 in this season in the county championship, Lawrence 55 this season, Bracey 47.90 this season, Is Bracey the best batsman wicketkeeper in the county game after Buttler and Foakes? Why are Buttler, Woakes and Curran not playing in this second test? Curran is playing for Surrey in the 20twenty competition. But Its comes down to the quality of the county game and the pitches we play the 4 day game on as Simon Doull said after the days play. They don't allow Batsman to play on good quality wickets and build a inning. To the people who want Sliverwood out as head coach is who do you replace him with? I would suggest Alex Stewart, former England player and Surrey director of cricket but didn't he withdraw from the head coach process when the ECB was replacing Bayliss for unknown reasons?

Currently no it's not good enough in how late we are in announcing Season tickets regardless of Covid.
