  1. I watched some games last season of Swansea he played in front 2 with Ayew when they played 3-5-2 formation
  2. If we could sign Jamal Lowe permanent deal would be a very good deal. He scored goals and has pace. I wonder if we have moved on from Obafemi deal now with us moving for Lowe. Can you explain why you don't want him? This is where we need a proper recruitment plan for this window and I don't think we had it in all honestly. For an example if we did bring in Charles from Stanley for 750k then it would be gamble but imo just as much as gamble as Obafemi. I really hope Mowbray, Waggott and Rovers bring in a permanent striker tomorrow. I think if we make the right striker we can have a good season
  3. Like I have told you several times do you own research pal? plenty of data, info, clips and opinions out there.
  4. How much of budget do you need? we signing a left back for 500k plus had a 500k bid turned for Hedges plus rumours a 2 loan signings, surely we should be making sure we get that permanent striker in first through the door.
  5. It must be a permanent striker. Its clear that Mowbray had some money to spent. Like I said I wouldn't bothered with the Khadra signing or the Hedges bid, and put that money on signing a main number 9 striker as we ONLY have one in Sam Gallagher.
  6. It looks like a very busy day today for Rovers in terms of signings and players leaving on loan. If the permanent striker signing is more of a attacking/wide player then its leaves us very short in the main number 9 striker position and I am dead against leaving is short in that area. Don't want to play any false 9 rubbish approach but a proper permanent striker signing who knows how to score goals. But I have to question our transfer planning and strategy for signings in this window. Why have we left it 20 days before replacing Armstrong and we still might replace him properly, Why give Chapman a new contract? why do we need to sign both Khadra and Roberts(if true) tomorrow when we have Dolan, Brereton and Pobeva for the wide roles? Would we not been much better putting our resources and time into a number 9 striker and use JRC or Chapman in that wide spot? Also would Rovers not be better signing a right back thinking long term if Nyambe won't be here after next year. @Gav, On Deeney, as others have said He is massive Birmingham City fan and he wants to play for his club so why would he come here? On the Scouting network point, Yes we do have one but I think one of biggest problem is Tony Mowbray and his inability to not move away from number 1 target and wasting time pursing him is a massive problem and the lack of proper recruitment plan from Mowbray and Waggott in this window.
  7. Sharpe tweet to a question on striker search progressing, and some interesting options about. There’s one permanent option I’d describe as an ‘attacker’ rather than striker. Just have to see what lands.
  8. That story back up by this tweet So that's 750k we have offer so far? (500k for Edun and 250k for Hedges) Where is our Striker bid?
  9. Pete O'Rourke is one of the best sources of info you can have, plus Sharpe has confirmed our interested. What more do you want? I gave you a striker we could sign for 750k in Dion Charles from Stanley. Good player and been linked to other clubs in championship recently. For me would be decent replacement for Armstrong who we will never replace like for like. But would get 10 to 15 goals at this level. Plus with Gallagher and Brereton scoring plus other chipping in We would replace the goals.
  10. thought we have very little money but have 500k for second left back? So clearly we do have money but Mowbray won't move on from Obafemi being his main choice. Probably get him on loan deal whilst we sign Edun for 500k You going to admitted its Mowbray inability to move on from targets that will cost us signing a permanent striker this window?
  11. You can blame the head of recruitment if you want but given we after Harvey left and we still have interim Head of recruitment in Glyn Chamberlain but the man who is responsible is Mowbray and he makes the decision the who we sign at the end of day. So is the man to blame for this summer recruitment mess If you want to keep defending Mowbray and Waggott then carry on please but I won't. Mowbray has known for months this situation that Armstrong would move on was coming. So he and his staff should have been planning for months for different shortlist for different prices. Something Mowbray has mention several times himself. As we were in talks with Southampton over the Armstrong deal, Rovers under Waggott and Mowbray leadership should have been putting bids for several transfer targets. Keep having a go at me if you want for suggesting transfer targets and players we could be signing weeks ago if we have a proper recruitment and transfer plan from our 2 management leaders at the club in Waggott and Mowbray. Simms is almost back in transfer and had a good spell at Blackpool last season. Morris was fit 2 weeks ago so we could have signed him before his injury. I've seen Healey's goals on Youtube for MK Dons and Toulouse and he knows the goals are. Dale can play anyway in the front 3. Charles is available for 750k and scores goals. Why not bring in him? I'm sorry to say this but the only reason we won't sign a permanent striker is down to the completely and utter incompetence of Mowbray and Waggott failure to be decisive and do some long term planning in terms of recruitment and scouting. I agree. Would be a good signing and someone I have mention several times. Have you heard anything about any potential signings or interest in players before tomorrow deadline? Wouldn't have signed the Brighton winger at all. Rather use JRC further forward. Can't believe Mowbray and Rovers have gone back for Obafemi. This is one of the main reason I would like a see recruitment and signing decisions taking away and we move to a modern day Football managerial set up of sporting director and head coach structure.
  12. No its called forward planning and making sure we were ready to sign a replacement as soon as Armstrong deal was done. But Mowbray and Rovers wasted 2 weeks chasing a player who has no interest in being here. on your scenario, I want answer from any player as soon as possible and would set a deadline. We have games to players. No clearly its not but we can't be wasting time and effort on players who don;'t want to come to play first team football Good for you then. I rather discuss potential players thats we should have been targets. If you don't want then please bother replying to me thanks. Also how many championship goals did Armstrong before he signed here. That's the point I am making is Rovers and Mowbray would have know for 6 months that Armstrong would have been off last January/ February. Rovers and Mowbray should have been scouting and researching potential replacements. Other teams do it but Rovers and Mowbray haven't and now its costing. Is it so hard to plan. Let him go to these other clubs then. You mention West Brom and Fulham who both signed strikers this past week so why would they need Obafemi. You
  13. Cook getting a lot of money backing and players in. Almost rebuild the squad there. How have the fans react to this changes and the changes at the club overall since the new owners came in?
  14. Haven't I already explained why? Well tell him to hold out for club with promotion ambitions still then or rot as in Southampton under 23s set up. Go and get a permanent striker in who WANTS TO BE HERE
  15. I would say different time and very different manager/owner of the club. Newell was great for our club
  16. I'm not really bothered if they excited you tbh. You can always do your research on players and suggestion you own players. Plenty of data, clips and opinions out there, I hope we don't do the deal for Obafemi at all Yes the scouting Network should have done this and in all honestly they probably did. But its down to Mowbray to decide who he wants and thats why I think he goes against his recruitment like some people have alluded to before
  17. defending Mowbray there. He had 6 months to be planning for a striker replacement. Blimey we all know Armstrong wouldn't be here this season unless we got promotion last season. So for me, the club, Mowbray and Waggott can't have any more excuses. There is loads of good strikers out there we can get a couple of millions pounds or less
  18. If Mowbray and Waggott don't sign a striker then both now sacking asap. You knew for 6 months that Armstrong would leave this season and you should have had a shortlist of targets and players we wanted months ago. Fed up with your bloody excuses. Go and sign a striker who wants to be here and not a kid who turned you down weeks ago.
  19. If he didn't want to come first time then I wouldn't be interested in him.
  20. Having they just signed recently Salford number 1 keeper from last season?
  21. How much do we get if we don't sell at the end of the season for him? I wouldn't be signing him at all. Had his chance and didn't want to come. Time to move on and sign a permanent striker who wants to be here. Plenty out there we could get whether its Simms from Everton, Charles from Stanley, Nisbet from Hibs. I know all thanks Millers as you have post that before and heard from other people. I'm not the biggest fan of him But I do think we should be offering him a better contract. Same as Rothwell who I would be offering a better contract than the one he has been offered. Kenny is suggestion and given his wages and experience at Everton and Celtic we couldn't afford, Maybe a loan. He has less 12 months left on his deal and if we get cash for him now and replacement in then it should be consider.
