  1. I wonder if People think he getting sack or resigning cos there were no training pictures with him in them
  2. Allardyce wanted out of Rovers for 6 months prior to Venkys arriving as owners. Something people like yourself forget very easily
  3. Good to see. And most of them wont be missed. Bringing through more of our academy players is the way to go.
  4. That's why I was totally against any move by the club or owner to get rid off our academy.. On Raya, I was for the sale as far me he became too much of a liability like his mistakes against Birmingham City. If Nyambe isn't going to sign a new contract then we have to sell him and bring in a replacement. Dont see Armstrong being sold on the cheap.
  5. And we would lose our grade 1 academy status for sure, players would lose on the cheap, assets sold off..so that's isnt business sense is it?
  6. Pickering would be good signing for given what I've seen and watch of him. Shame we didnt sign him last summer instead of Douglas Yes it looks that way. So now we can make some quality signings.
  7. These shares are to Rovers accounts not Venkys London limited accounts
  8. Who says I accept it? Cos I dont keep repeating it daily or weekly just to keep up my post counts.
  9. Mowbray has his targets list already so what's stopping them? No excuses Accounts in and registering ban will be lift by end of the week so cant have any excuses not to get a couple of signings in before start of the season. But they must be quality signings not squad players which we dont need
  10. didn't we signed Ayala last summer on a permanent contract? Wharton is close to return to training Wharton: I'm in a good place | rovers.co.uk We have Pike so let him challenge him and is Nyambe staying beyond this season? cos he isn;t surely we have sell him and bring in a first choice right back doesn't I say a back up left back was needed? With Travis, Buckley, Rothwell, Johnson and Davenport already there as Centre midfielders and we played 3 man midfield than surely only 1 is needed. Then use the under 23's players to back that up On the right winger, we have Dolan, JRC or Brereton who can play there so I think Left footed left winger would be better suited for us
  11. Like I said plenty of reasons. All fairly obvious to most Rovers fans like a bigger club, PL league training facilities, Ewood Park, wages we could offer, Former Premier League champions, agree on Waggott. On Pasha, from what @J*Bposted before that Pasha runs Balaji Business interests with Babu but doesn't have the power to sack the manager without Balaji authorising it. Whilst I would prefer a CEO on the ground who engages with the fan base, has power to make decisions with authorisation from Balaji, etc its appears thats they will never allow that to happened.
  12. That's where I disagree Jack thats we are hopeless. Far from it.
  13. Plenty of good and logical reasons. But its people like yourself who want to talk our great club down and like we are hopeless club when we really aren't
  14. Hopefully by end of next week we have a signing in or two. But we don't need a load of signings for me. A centre back, back up left back, defensive midfielder and left side winger/forward. With possibly replacements for Armstrong or Nyambe if either are sold. Do we need much more? not for me. Mowbray has been back financially in terms of signings, transfer fees and wages.
  15. Barnsley's owners and CEO have a good transfer policy of not signing players over the aged of 24 years old. They know the player markets better than more championship clubs. They know the managerial market in Austria and this will be the 3rd manager from there. Maybe should approach their CEO to replace Waggott
  16. I would expect some movement after their deal starts on Thursday 1st of July. Possible New Home shirt/kit unveil on Thursday
  17. I dont think you were sarcastic tho. Given your previous comments that you want 2 senior professional players for each position. So how do you give youth players a chance? So how does Pike for example get a chance for us with 2 senior professionals in the way?
  18. So scrapped our academy then? You cant rely on players if you dont give them a chance. Play them and let's see. Rather produce our own then sign rubbish players. Signed enough last summer like Douglas, Ayala(who you want us to sign),
  19. Rankin Costello should be playing attacking wide role. Not as a full back. So whats the point in having an academy producing good players when they got no chance of playing them? So would you scrap the academy cos you wont play them cos you want 2 senior players for each position. If Armstrong leaves then he replacing properly but no reason why McBride couldn;t be 3rd choice before the new striker and Gallagher. And yes Carter, Pike and McBride would be part of my 1st team squad for coming season
  20. I'm amazed that how you can have opinion on our good young players when you don't watch the under 23 or under 18 level of football Why sign players that stop our players from being in the first team squad? So you would sign another right back instead of having Pike as back up to Nyambe then? Yes thats is the choice between giving our talent young players the platform to perform and be part of the squad and signing squad players.
  21. Lets discuss Mowbray and his future in this thread and stop mentioning it the wrong threads. I change my opinion on Mowbray after the defeats to PNE and Barnsley games in February. Hardly prior to the season ending. I have told you several times now and I will say this for the final time, thats I think Mowbray should be sack as manager. I gave a shortlist of potential choices and thats more than you ever do. But the owners of the club think differently and I cant it change it. So Mowbray will lead us into our first game of the season. So what more do you want? me to keeping mentioning it in every post and repeating myself weekly?
  22. Barnsley set to appoint their new head coach Barnsley set to name Markus Schopp as their successor to new West Brom boss Valerien Ismael | Daily Mail Online
  23. Like I said most people of that age will have internet or smartphone. Espically given the last 16 months and the limited we have been able to see each other. Of Course they will always be a few people who don't. Maybe the club are going to be sending out letters to fans over 50's about Season tickets. Maybe thats a question for the fans forum and does @only2garnersknow if the club have a plan to reach fans who don't have internet or smartphone now
