  1. I will have a look and speak to a friend or 2.
  2. Football finance expert Kieran Maguire on Rovers' accounts
  3. Didn't we offer him a new contract last summer and been in talks for 12 months but no new deal sign yet?
  4. Do you what the wage budget is for this season and surely Rovers would have wage cap in place? Mowbray doesn't want to give Graham a new deal last season like Graham said on the Rovers Chat podcast with himself. Not listened to it? Smallwood and Samuel were always going JH. More theories from yourself Thats the problem tho. You signed players that will fit into your formation and style of play. Not just sign players that don't fit into your tactical approach like we seen with Mowbray signing Gallagher, Johnson, Ayala that don't fit into his possession based footballing style. But are any of them what we need in terms of signings? I can understand that you want Rovers to make signings asap but so far I've only seen 2 players who have move clubs or re sign at the current club that I would have wanted to bring Rovers. Is there any signings players made so for any championship club you would have wanted at Rovers? Bennett was always leave this summer and move closer to home based like I said before. Why keep injury prone players like Evans and Holtby? Plus all 3 would have too limited Mowbray transfer market signings as the current squad has 19 players that meet the age limit and criteria to be qualify as senior player in the 25 players squad rules. Carter is 21 years now and will be 22 years old in December so surely its either use him as part of the first team squad or not and sell him. He was excellent for Burton and played a key part why they stayed up like they did.
  5. He has made enough comments about the way he wants to play and this style has been implemented through the club age groups. do we need to keep going this again and again?
  6. does he a direct replacement for Armstrong and fit the way Mowbray wants to play? Don't we want a pacey striker who has good movement and score goals? well if teams aren't willing our valuation on him then its no deal. Southampton will need at least 1 striker as Ings hasn't signed a new contract so he only has 12 months left on his deal and has been linked with Man City and Spurs this morning. Well he is already one of the highest paid player at the club and it has been mention before as Alan Nixon did an article a few weeks ago about selling Rothwell to fund a pay rise to Make Armstrong new contract and on higher wages.
  7. meant not many big cash signings. Will be interest How Rovers will use the Armstrong's money. I expect we see a couple of low cash signings from the money.
  8. I think we have young talent attacking players like JRC, Dolan, Buckley, Butterworth etc who can play this style Mowbray wants. Yes it is likely that Armstrong will go but depending how we replace him and the goals. I am looking for the team to score goals whether its Lenihan and Ayala to chip or Travis and Buckley from Midfield, or Brereton to score more this season. Who knows what the finances are like but I am not expecting big cash signings from most Championship teams this window and expect alot of free transfers, loans and low cash signings. I know how and who I would replace Armstrong with. But lets see how the club does this? sad to hear that you arent renewing. I can't wait to get back to watch live in stadium football at Ewood Park. last 16 months without has been tough and something I don't to happen again
  9. Well we don't know what will go on in the transfer market. Have I said I have erased last season. I was and still now bitter disappointed how last season after the backing the manager has had over the last 3 season into building that squad. We should have done better.
  10. well if thats what you think fair enough but some of us expect better. at Ewood this season?
  11. The target for Rovers should be top 6 this coming season. How many times do I need to say this? You are getting annoying again! You are obsess with fans opinions which aren't objective enough and bias. Look at what Sunderland fans said about Graham before we signed him. You wouldn't have signed him but thankfully Lambert didn't listen to those opinions and signed him here. I put alot into data cos it based on what happens in the game See some of us backed Armstrong to score the goals we needed after Dack whilst you yourself were doubtful and negative he would step up despite him being a striker and goal scorer. I expect the team to score more goals Who knows what is close or not. Not everything has to be the public domain.
  12. We didn't go down cos we sold Rhodes.
  13. Most people will have the vaccine anymore so stop trying to blown this out of portion again. also what has this got to with transfers anyway?
  14. Like I said time after time. Why do I need to keep repeating myself to you? my stance isn't going to change and you can either accept it or ignore it but it won't be changing Like I gave you the example of Shearer in 96 or when we sold Rhodes and replace with Graham. You aren't going to get a like for like replacement and thats clear. I would take Obafemi in the deal for Armstrong to Southampton if he is moving here permanently. He has scored goals against Chelsea and Manchester United so clear has talent and that is something we can develop here in the years to come. Does it matters that we aren't linked to players? Yes I am far from convinced that Obafemi will be 20 to 30 goals scorer if we signed but he could be good signing for us and score 15 goals a season. Reach not well liked at his previous club? does that matter and you are so obsess by what other fans think? You like that with every player link to us. Just look at what Sunderland fans said on Graham before he signed here and look at how that one played out. Or Tosin Adarabioyo and what WBA said. stop listening to other fans opinions as they mean nothing I have to disagree here. Time to step up the plate. Armstrong did. The team has score goals. Its a team goals. Our defenders, midfielders and forwards have to step up an score goals. Brereton is bang in form for Chile so hopefully he can reproduce that here. Plus others can score score goals
  15. Yet again I have said time after time that Mowbray should have been sack and replace. But he hasn't been. So we go into the new season and for the target should be playoffs. Mowbray can have no excuses this season. So Yes the end of the season target should be playoffs/top 6. How many times do we need to go over this and the Mowbray situation? Its getting boring now Give over, you written off most players we are linked. Dodgy source? at least he covers Rovers and he is the only journalist in the national press that covers us. You moan about Rich Sharpe not be able to own transfers stories. You aren't going to be able to sign like for like replacement as other people have pointed out before. That why need to sign a striker that will score 15 goals and then get goals from other areas of the team over the season. I don't see Obafemi has a direct replacement as that is impossible in most situations. Like we could never replace Shearer with like for like replacement. Or when we sold Rhodes and bringing in Graham who was a better all round striker than just a goalscorer. We might well bring in another striker from overseas or any other player targets but I think most overseas players will have to self isolating on arrive in the country
  16. We should be challenging the playoffs and the manager whoever that this should be the expectations. Lost the dressing room?
  17. I never said that it was positive thing selling Armstrong did I? Whether you like it or not Mowbray is still the manager of the club. So we can keep discussing this until the cows come home or accept that he is manager despite us both wanting a change of manager? Hopefully he can turn it around and produces the wins we need. I am looking forward to the season and getting back to watching my team live in stadium football But I haver written him off like you have already again like you do alot. You doubted whether Armstrong would produced the goals if we played him up front when myself and others were more than confident he would. Also notice that you didn't name who you would sign as Armstrong's replacement but I guess you don't know who you would sign
  18. So who would replace Armstrong with then? Any suggestions or just want to negative about a player who could be good signing here if we use him right and develop him. You wasn't a big fan of Armstrong playing up front before he did and you knock my suggestion back in December 2019 that we should make Armstrong our main striker and he would produce the goals. Look at how that went.
  19. If you want to continue to keep discussing Mowbray and his future daily then fair enough but please leave me out of it. I've made my feelings and opinions very clear about Mowbray and to a point I can't be anymore clear. But isn't stop going to stop discussing transfer stories and rumours in the correct thread. And also looking forward to getting back to Ewood Park and supporting and enjoying watching my team after the last 16 months.
  20. Yet again, You want to keep moaning about the manager staying but is the much point? Like I said I would happy with the squad with 4/5 signings we need plus who we replace Armstrong with. I suggested a player I would look to sign like Ben Osborn for the wide position we need to filled. I gave you 2 players yesterday who I would have signed if we haven't been embargo of Sonny Bradley and Ryan Woods. Bradley re-signed at Luton and Woods signed for Birmingham. If you want to not believe the club then thats your decision.
  21. He does pace and some tricky. Getting him as part of the deal could be sensible move by the club and management. If Yates is too expensive then maybe getting him might be sensible. He has scored goals against Chelsea and Manchester United. I'm thinking 12 to 15 million pounds for Armstrong and getting Obafemi would cut down how much Newcastle get and would allow us to reinvested in other players we need
  22. Well if my understand is correct that any players the age under 21 unless on loan at the club doesn't count towards the list, so players like JRC, Buckley, Brereton would count towards the match day squad count now. Players like Pike, Eastham wouldn't. But I think Butterworth and Carter would count the match day squad. So looking at the current squad I count 21 players that would be match day squad. Do players want to be waiting around for a contract? The kit issue isn't the club fault as other posters have said. Cos I trust the players we have and I see this as perfect opportunity to bring Carter, Pike, Eastham, Butterworth into the first team match day squad. I did a list of current squad and if we get in 4 or 5 players then I would be happy with that. You might not be but I would be, Who are these players you think we should have signed cos I said 2 of the players that have signed for new clubs or contracts at their club. Are they other players you think we should have signed? please name them?
  23. Michael Obafemi has scored 6 goals including 4 PL goals in 41 appearances(32 PL, 3 Efl trophy, 4 EFL league Cup and 2 FA CUP). One thing he does have pace. But is he the right replacement for Armstrong I ain't fat from convince https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/michael-obafemi/profil/spieler/444208
