I did say I would keep Armstrong here if he signs a new contract otherwise we have sell but get the price we want given that Newcastle get 40% of any money above 3 mil pounds we paid for him. Most Championship clubs will be cutting back on wages and fees they are paying this summer and it will only clubs who are relegated from PL or clubs who sell players before they buy. What Championship club apart from the 3 clubs relegated from PL who will be in the Championship this coming season can afford to buy him?

Depends whether Armstrong is obsess by money or by playing football and scoring goals not sitting on the bench at a premier league club. Looks at Rhodes's career or Gestede's career or Marshall's career went after leaving Rovers I think its abit of both to be honest between his signings he made in the last 2 seasons, his obsession with this passing style philosophy without having the right players, his team selections and sticking with 4-3-3 when 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2 looks the better option to me. Worth noting that Newcastle get 40% of any transfer fee above 3 million pounds so if clubs will only bid 10 million pounds? Would you sell for that? If we did sell for that then we would only 7 million pounds to spend so who are these 3 hidden gems and how to replace a 29 goals striker? Can you explain how we do this? Can you name players we could sign to replace his goals or would you change tactics and formation to make up for the loss like Move Gallagher up front and sign someone like Yates from Blackpool then play a front 2 for example surely another 20 goals this coming season and his stock will be higher surely? depends on the clubs who wants him and the role he will have there? Does Armstrong want to be sub player at West Ham or Brighton? Or would he prefer to play regular first team football and scoring goals here under a new contract? How is a 29 goals striker Armstrong overrated? can you explain that one? If we keep Armstrong and signed a new contract and sell Rothwell why are we going to struggle given the lack of impact Rothwell had on the team and performances last season? Are we going to really miss him? Surely it means more starts for John Buckley to fill the gap?

delighted that Leicester won the final. Pleased for the Srivaddhanaprabha's family, Rodgers, the players and the fans. What the Srivaddhanaprabha family has done since becoming the Leicester owners in terms of investment in the club, investing in the area of Leicester and building such an impressive training ground plus an owner who is in touch with the fans and listen to them. Mowbray has always know what his budget after his meetings with owners. I don't know what communications he has had with the owners and Pasha about this coming season's budget. Hopefully a change still happens but I'm not counting on it currently

No surprise we have released Grayson or Mols. neither were ever going to break into the first team football here. I think Grayson might end up at Fleetwood under his dad and Dunn there. Don't see Mols playing any higher than league 2 football sadly. Pleased we have extended the registration for Pike, Burns and Barnes. I am pleased that we have released Evans, Holtby, Bell, Downing, Mulgrew plus some of the under 23's who arent going to be good enough for the first team here. I don't see Bennett staying here next season as I think he will want a club closer to Family home in the midlands and less time spent away from home and his family. He has been good servant and role model for the club. Time for us to part ways and move on. I wouldn't have given Johnson as new contract as I think we need more Harrison Reed type in front of the back 4 to protect it with Travis or use Buckley as deep playmaker role next to Travis. Building a squad that will be together for few seasons. We have experience players already in the squad like Kaminski, Ayala, Lenihan, Travis. Now is the time to bring through our young good enough players and signing the right quality players with experience and within the age bracket I set under a new head coach/manager next season One example that We could sign Alex Mowatt from Barnsley who is quality player and captain them. Plenty of good quality experience players we can sign from within those age bracket I suggested I would get rid of Bennett and Johnson. From reading Bennett social media post on Saturday evening I took it he is leaving. Have you seen it? I can see him wanting to be home all the time instead of staying away from home days a week. Losing Evans, Downing and Holtby(who was fit enough to warrant a new contract) is no big miss and we need better and players who will be fit for most of the games next season Of Course its makes plenty of sense to sign players from within that age bracket. We need new players who we can develop and have experience in this league or other quality leagues from within that age bracket and give them 3 or 4 years contract and build a good quality squad under a new manager/head coach that can improve next season and hopefully get us promoted in 2 seasons from this league

I don't know the complete story to be honest and whether Stoke are trying to move him on this summer and looking to move him on or his agent is offering him to clubs. Who knows. But would I sign him? No I wouldn't. I wouldn't be signing a 30 year old player in this window but looking players age between 21 to 28 years old. I think what we need a good solid defensive midfielder who will protect the back 4 between the age of 24 to 28 and maybe another depending on who the manager is, how we will play tactically and formation wise.

Stoke still have a massive wage bill there so I imagine they want to reduce it whilst allowing Michael O'Neill to sign own players on lesser wages. I don't know what wages Clucas is on but I don't see them fitting within our wage budget or Mowbray tactical approach. He not someone I think we should be signing
