Mowbrays Successor
chaddyrovers replied to Darwen Rover 007's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Mowbray has said he had no part in Rovers owners bringing in Waggott as CEO so how can you say it was Mowbray suggestion to the owners to bring him in. Venkys will need to bring in a replacement for Waggott before anything is done about Mowbray whether you believe he should stay or go. I have spoken about having a Sporting Director/head coach structure in the past and its something I think Rovers should look at seriously bringing in. I have suggestions potential replacements for Mowbray successor and I still believe in giving him the season and review in the summer. I don't have any communication with Waggott since he has come to the club as I have no reason to have. I ain't a business client or do have access to the Rovers board -

Maybe not yet for Dyche but there is plenty of cases of it. I don't know why you mention Brighton in this discussion so why? Under Hughes we played attacking football whilst being organised and well drilled. We weren't played defensively after his 1st season here. But Hughes changed his style from when he took over when we played 4-5-1 to playing 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1. We have Tugay, Bentley, Pedersen, Bellamy Santa Cruz, McCarthy. Hughes brought in Quality attacking players and allow us to attack teams whilst keeping our defensive shape. mercer, The same weekly rant at one of my post. why? John Williams was paid too much? what was he on? He was the best Chairman in the PL at that time despite getting the Ince appointment wrong. -
Ayala was the one you wanted to sign all summer and was disappointed when the deal look like it was off didnt you? you were massive in favour of signing Ayala in the summer January transfer window 2020 - Page 297 - Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard - BRFCS.com - By Blackburn Rovers fans, for Blackburn Rovers fans.

TRANSFER THREAD - JANUARY 2021

would you want to watch Dyche or McCarthy type of football regular basis and do you agree that type of football has a certain shelf life before fans get bore of it and depend a change of style? Look at Hughes and the job he did at Rovers and change style to more attacking style over time and signed excellent players whilst on a limited Budget. He proved it can be done on a limited budget. Or Rodgers at Swansea I like watching Southampton play and I have been very impress by Ralph Hassenhuntl there. His style of football is good and enjoyable to watch. -

The couple of games he started he has shown he isn't ready to start sadly. After such a serious injury I wrote off his impact for this season. He will a massive time to get back physical but more mentally. I'm not expect much from him this season. Yes He did signed a new contract here and I'm happy he did. He enjoys living in Manchester but I not getting excited at his return until he is back properly. Plus also hard to get excite about it until we back into stadiums live watching football normally. How many games have Elliott, Armstrong and Brereton started together and what was the results in them? Rothwell has said central in 4-3-3 is favour position and where he wants to play. Credit to Mowbray and his staff for playing him there. -

how often has Elliott, Brereton and Armstrong played together this season? You don't care about Dack deeper role at Gillingham cos it doesn;t suit your argument on Elliott and a favourite formation? Look at how Liverpool play in their youth levels, same formation as the 1st team. I havent mention this false 9 thing so unsure why you have? Armstrong's main improvement has come cos he is playing his preferred role as striker and he has been the main man and the team has been set up for him. at the minute Dack isn't fit enuogh to be starting games and I think we are too rely on him. I would be taking more time with him and give him game time from the bench for next few games. -

I find the sacking of Harris a strange one considering they allowed him to sign a couple of his transfer targets only 2 or 3 days before his sacking? I don't think McCarthy style or tactics suits our current squad at all. -

if Waggott is leaving at the end of the season hopefully we will have his successor in place before he goes. who we get is open but hopefully someone with footballing background and experience. I can't see Gerrard leaving Rangers where he will win the league there this season and get champions League next season. He will take over from Klopp in a few years time. When the time comes to replace Mowbray I hope we interview a few potential managers and look at the structure of football side of the club. Look at appointing Sporting Director then allow him and CEO to bring in head coach. -

Armstrong, Elliott, Brereton, Rothwell. Dack played in a 3 man midfield at Gillingham team so saying his natural position has as 10 is just plain wrom Yes Armstrong scored so many as The main striker but he was Rovers main man and played as main striker but their goals came in 4-3-3 -

Firstly I ain't your son Steven so please dont ever refer to me as that again!!! Also using when we are going through a global pandemic, lock down restrictions still happening and other related problems. Very unfair to used 2020. Like I've said before you want change of manager now that's fine but some of us dont. So accept that and move on or ignore me.. I'm not bothered either way -
Mercer, you have mention a tipping point scenario so many times I've lost count, you been better off going on the ITV show instead. You keep looking at things as short term instead looking in the long term and benefit of the club. A proper scouting and recruitment departments which we havent had since Allardyce time at the club. Players have improved and we have players who would bring in money to club like Armstrong, Dack, Kaminski, Travis. He got 22 points from 15 games. He did a good job that season. And it was Coyle fault we went down. His defensive signings were awful. Brown, Greer, Hendrie were 3 useless signings. I wonder why you wont attach any blame to Coyle?funny that really. You dont cant stand that people dont want rid Mowbray and used terms like that wind people. But it just weaken your point and arguments.
-
The owners have kept paying the bills and despite your numerous claims of your phase of 'tipping point' they keep financing the club. Plenty of good and its investment for now and the future going forward. It's not just about the short term but long term. Firstly Michael O'Neill had a lot more time there to turn it around. Warnock took over Boro who werent in the bottom 3 when he took over. When Mowbray took over here we had 15 games to go and he got 22 points. The problem was Coyle and his awful record here. Mowbray delivered what his objective was. Promotion was delivered. There that term of 'happy clappers' instead of accepting other people views who want to back Mowbray. I can accept that you want a change without any insults.

Look at comments made when Mowbray took the job. He was offered the job that Wednesday morning after Coyle sacking on Tuesday. Now unless you have evidence otherwise then we were stick to what we know as fact -

How has they been cutbacks in medical and Physio departments? What cutbacks have been in the training ground? Look at investment made in video technology on the training ground? Then players can look at their performance on the training days and match days. -

Improve training infrastructure? Can you explain further what you mean by this? On drill the defence? Quite likely half of the back line wont be here next season? What happens if we dont have players in the current squad to play the style the new guy want? Until the summer window for example
