I read everything. Its Mowbray who wouldnt buy a centre half. We had the money in the first season or second season when we promoted whether its Konsa who was Charlton at the time or Egan at Brentford or Cooper at Millwall. Instead when for Rodwell. Who are these players and do we play that way under Mowbray?

Our squad isn't suited to playing a simple 4-4-2. in our first season back in the championship we suited it more than now If you look at the teams who have promoted this season or make the playoff final they have mainly played 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 or 3-4-3. Brentford and Swansea have switch formations between 3-4-3 or 4-3-3 formation. Steve Cooper ditched his 3 at the back system which he has used for most of the season and move back to 4-3-3 formation he used at the start of the previous season.

infant schools is very different to professional football tho. How many Championship teams play 4-4-2 and looking at the formation of teams that get promoted from this league very few play 4-4-2 these days. Not sure our current players are suited to simple 4-4-2 formation and more suited 4-2-3-1 formation or 4-3-3. If we still had a Danny Graham who could play a target man role with Dack or Armstrong as a partner with Harrison Reed and Lewis Travis in centre midfield then I would be more inclined to play a simple 4-4-2. But this come back to our recruitment since getting promoted from league that Mowbray transfer signings and not seemingly have proper plan to fit signings into the formation he wanted to play.

Reach from Sheffield United. Possible Kirk from Crewe who Joe Harvey is a fan off. Don't think Curtis is a worthwhile signing for me. Possible a striker - Maybe Delap from City or Parrott from Spurs on loan. tho I not against using McBride instead of bringing one of those above in I would pay for Dewsbury-Hall transfer by selling Joe Rothwell for a similar price. If we lost Adam Armstrong then I would move for Cauley Woodrow who I think we could get for 5 million pounds. Other people seems to think Yates is a good bet to replace Armstrong. I'm not seen Yates live but will be watching the playoff final with him in aswell as Simms who is on loan from Everton at Blackpool. This is great and interesting report and what type of players and possible names we could or should be looking at this summer. It contains great in depth detail and very much what our recruitment team will be produced for head of recruitment and Mowbray.

I don't see Rothwell and Chapman being here next season. Chapman's contract isn't going to be extend and Rothwell will be sold whilst we can get some money for him. I don't see us playing 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 formations any more complicated than 4-4-2 which most of this squad haven't played in before under Mowbray. I would say if Armstrong is staying then we need transfer wise a back up left back, Centre back, 2 centre midfielders, 1 winger and possible a striker.

Yes I will getting one as long as we are allow inside stadium to watch my team. I dont want to watch entire season on a stream. Not used to following my club that way. My step-daughter is looking forward to watching them. Other friends are renewing. We just want to get back some normality of life after being on lockdown measures and restrictions for over 15 months now.

I am still surprised he has survive the sack and given the posts from 4 posters on here I fully him being sack. So unsure how he talk his way around it and convince Balaji and Pasha he is the right man to get us promote

It was simple question which you refuse to answer so I will ask again Are you renewing your season ticket this coming season? My point on Mowbray should be sack stands. He should have been fired already but somehow he has managed to escape. This coming season he will be under huge pressure from fans when we are back inside the stadium. Not at all Matty. Maybe 2 seasons ago but after last season they wont be interested. Only has stupid as your previous one. We all know that Mowbray is very lucky that he has escape the sack this summer after last season poor results and performances. The pressure will be on this coming season with fans back inside Stadium. Renewing Stuart or will you be giving it up and protesting outside the ground for Mowbray to be sack?

Harwood-Bellis performed very well last season for us and can't believe you wouldn't want him. We have Ayala who is injury prone and will probably not be available for most of the season. You could well end up with THB and Carter in defence next season if Lenihan gets injury. Why not get him back on a loan until January when Wharton should be back. I was in favour of Mowbray playing Pike, McBride, Burns, Whitehall in some of the last few games last season. Next season we will have Nyambe, Lenihan, Wharton, Carter, JRC, Buckley, Travis, Pike and probably McBride all part of the 1st team squad. Thats will be 9 players from academy/Under 23's in our first team squad.

does it matter really Stuart? Maybe Mowbray will be target by WBA after being there years ago and achieve promotion there

Who would be in midfield 4 and the 2 up front? Does it include Buckley? Why not play Buckley as number 10 in 4-2-3-1? Not against playing 4-4-2 but we need a left foot left winger and good defensive midfield partner for Travis to make it work for me? I'm wasn't expecting answers today btw

was Rhodes a Lambert's type striker? not for me.

Lambert wasn't recruited to sell Rhodes but I did say from the day he was appointed that he would sell Rhodes in January and bring in the strikers he wanted to play with long term. Lmabert has always played with a Target man striker with pacey striker or skillful number 10. Rhodes fits not of those roles so would he keep him. Look at the 3 strikers Lambert recruited in January, Graham on loan who I believe Lambert would have signed permanent in summer on a free, Watt on loan with a view to 2 million move in the summer and Jackson on a free. Each fits their roles. He was clever and knowledge to put in a release clause cos clearly he didnt trust Venkys to follow through with their promises of funded and didn't want to be stuck here. @tomphilpost is correct on this subject Depends on who is interest from Premier League and what they are willing to offer. I think he wants a return to Newcastle and maybe Bruce isnt interested this summer. Plus why not get a pay rise and more secure in a new bigger contract

Bournemouth, WBA, Sheffield United all need new manager before the new season so it will be interest who they appoint Wouldn't be surprise if Frank Lampard took the Bournemouth job Sheffield United looks likely to appoint Jokanovic as next boss Don't see WIlder getting the WBA unless he accepts Luke Dowling role as Sporting Director or he gets his wishes and Dowling role is removed or change and he gets overall charge. Other possible candidates could be Steve Cooper, Karl Robinson or Valerien Ismael.
