  1. Well who would you play now Lenihan is unavailable for the birth of his child
  2. My coverage is about 40 seconds behind real time
  3. Behind he was behind on his fitness. The virus can affect you for days and weeks after it's gone. Speaking from experience and other people experience
  4. very surprise. If Lenihan wasn't going to play tonight then I would have gone for Carter. Good future prospect I wouldn't be surprise to see 3 at the back cos of Mulgrew lack of pace. Now I said this watch Mulgrew get the winner to make me eat my words.
  5. 2-1 Rovers win.. Armstrong and Nyambe to score.
  6. Was Ethan Pinnock a top 6 player when he Barnsley last season in league 1 now Brentford 1st centre half
  7. No Lenihan and Travis. Big miss. Could Rovers play 3-4-3 tonight I wonder.
  8. I agree that Wharton could be part of our squad but does he want to part of squad or just he want to be playing regular first team football in league 1?
  9. Its seems that the EFL, PL and FA havent thought when next season will start. or about pre season. The club is trying sell this season shirts and other clothing items but Rovers need to next shirt on sale by August/September
  10. Firstly, your post is of great detail, knowledge and enjoyment to read it. Brentford as a club is a model of how the sporting director and head coach does work similar to Norwich under Stuart Webber. The owners of Rovers have not invested in a proper management structure for a number of years since Allardyce, Williams and Finn left the club. We have tried director of football 3 times but never committed properly to the structure and way forward in a great detail plan ever. The club have a perfect chance to do this. I spoke to Paul Senior, he wanted to bring in the structure needed but I always felt the owners never wanted to invest the money need. Just imagine if they had 5 years ago or ever when they took charge of the club, we could have been similar to Brentford or Norwich in finding these gems. Instead we have wasted money on 2 strikers who so far not produce the quality or produce on the pitch to justify the fee paid. We knew about the Brentford model 5 or 6 years when we played there and they were a number of articles about them since then on the recruitment and identifying players with proper investment. Yes Mowbray is building the scouting from nothing and so far we haven't seen any end results from the European scouting yet. I get the feeling that we have only really had this working properly in the last few months before the pandemic hit the country. Why it has taking so long to bring in the network or people with the experience need to scout overseas.is the lack of funding from the owners that we only seen to have structure come in the place last 6/9 months? Mowbray talks about signings players from overseas at the Supporters consultation meeting and from his comments I would expect the bulk of signings to be from overseas. I Both managers have good knowledge of the overseas but have good people around them in recruitment areas. But when the current owners take over they allowed our scouting and recruitment departments became none existed until Mowbray has rebuild them to a point. Investment in these departments could have saved The currents owners millions in wasted signings over the years.
  11. Blackburn Rovers are among the clubs in the hunt to sign Shrewsbury Town defender Andre Pierre this summer, https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-birmingham-city-blackburn-in-hunt-to-sign-shrewsbury-27-yr-old/
  12. Scott Wharton played very well in the league 2 playoff final. Got plenty of heading in
  13. Shocking news Thoughts are with his family. Hope he recovers
  14. Have we scouting him is the question. Hes a right back.
  15. Hes a right back by trade then.
  16. Rankin Costello is injured and possible Travis aswell
  17. Thanks for sharing. How you seen much of him? What type of player is he?
  18. Depends who available tomorrow and With the team up pick we could play 4-3-3 anyway. Agree on the team you pick. Travis, Davenport and Rothwell in CM with Holtby from the right, Armstrong centre and Brereton from the left. I just want to win tomorrow. I am talking more long term in terms of formation but Mowbray has decide on the way forward and make sure his signings fit this formation and style.
  19. I wish we have the Brentford model of scouting and finding these gems. Its something the club should have implement years before Mowbray time. We have a good scouting network under Hughes then after he left we seen to go backwards in terms of scouting. Hopefully we are heading back to having a good scouting network and knowledge I suspect that after Mowbray leaves we might end up going to the Sporting Director and head coach structure route. With Damien Johnson taking over as head coach which i would be happy with. Others wouldn't. We have tried this director of football/sporting director thing 3 times with Shebby Singh or Paul Senior or Simon Hunt. Am I right to think JHRover that you would like Mick McCarthy or Chris Hughton type of manager ?
  20. That's fine Rigger. I enjoyed different footballing opinions. We all have our opinions on Mowbray, the future under him and who we would want take over from him. I know who I would want but some fans wouldn't be happy my opinions and some would. Look at the conversation between me and @roversfan99 where we have different opinions and we debate alot on here but I respect him alot for his opinion and hope he does for me. I enjoyed reading other posters views and opinions like JHRover or artibro or dreams of 1995 or JB even tho I might not always agree with them. That's why I enjoyed discussing Rovers and football on here.
