  1. You want to reign in expectations of him. I haven't said I expect him to play an important role tho I said he is performing and confidence then play him. I don't see the point in blocking the pathway into the first team of our talent youngsters at this stage. People moan we don't get youngsters a go and now we have a perfect opportunity with Rankin Costello, Chapman, Dolan, Vale then people want to bring in another squad player who will block their path way. I would say give them their go now. Its the right time to do so You will only now if he weaken and is miss by the season end position in May not now. We are playing differently without him. He had his chance to be part of this season squad and so far rejected coming back. Yes he was good player last season for us. Thats the past now.
  2. Please could you explain How is Thomas Kaminski not experience with over 300 league games and games in Belgium top division and last year Europa League?
  3. Have you read Mowbray's comments after last night game about we are closing in on more? Holtby playing as 3 man centre midfield seems to work at the minute? Maybe not having Downing will help us to terms of quickest of play and not slow it so much in terms of tempo of play. Looking at for opening day fixture I would be start with Brereton on the right of front 3 and Armstrong centre with either Rothwell or Rankin Costello or Chapman or Dolan on the left. Thats left position is available, down to one to grab it. You mention who can bring off the bench well Gallagher would be option along as who missed out for left position. (I am basing it 7 subs per bench and 3 allow on pitch not the stupid 5 subs). Plus Jack Vale Why can't you expect Dolan to break through this season? He is performing and full of confidence then play him. I don't see the point in wasting money on back up striker we have so much talent available who could fill that void. Give them their chances. Well Lewis Travis took to Championship football like a duck to water. Me and few others(Stuart and ParsonBlue) who watched him for under 23's knew he had enough about his game to have the ability to cope and perform at this level.
  4. Delighted we have Thomas Kaminski in. Looks good signing given his experience had in his career. Hoping we still 1 or 2 more in before the weekend
  5. We announce Thomas Kaminski transfer by tomorrow. And hopefully a couple more by weekend judging by Mowbray's comments. Some clubs are struggling to be players like Warnock at Boro or Karanka at Birmingham
  6. Reading line up Serbian coach Aleksandar Stanojevic as their new manager with Mark Bowen moving upstairs as sporting director and in charge of transfers https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-reading-line-up-move-to-appoint-46-yr-old-as-new-manager/?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1598368059
  7. So from Rich Sharpe article after the game, Kaminski deal will be announce tomorrow. Then we need centre back maybe 2 and left back in plus a back up keeper
  8. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/18675671.mowbray-outlines-next-stage-rovers-transfer-puzzle/
  9. Thanks for sharing this info How much are Hogan and Woods wages. Plus their positions aren't a priority for us at this stage
  10. How did the front 3 play tonight? I only got to watch about 8 minutes of the game. The internet service provided was awful. I have request a full refund form Inplayer
  11. does that include wages?
  12. Holtby looking like our playmaker
  13. Well done Ben. Didnt see the 1st cos internet problems. Deffo looks 4-3-3.
  14. I read 4-3-3 each half. First half Fisher Nyambe Lenihan Wharton Bell Travis Davenport Holtby Chapman Brereton Buckley Second Half Fisher Rankin Costello Carter Williams Bennett Lyons Johnson Evan's Dolan Armstrong Rothwell
  15. I meant the Fleetwood game. we will see in due course
  16. I haven't accept anything, cos I don't know how we will set formation wise this season. On the evidence of the Blackpool game it will be 4-3-3. Yes the have minimal first team experience and it will stay that way if keep signing players in front of them. Give them a proper chance. Everything is maybe and could do's unless you give them a chance to play actually games and produce the goals and assists. You wasn't in favour of moving Armstrong into the number 9 and playing in his proper position of striker which he is by trade if memory serves my right, my apology if I am wrong. He is goal scorer.
  17. JHRover's question was he didn't know of another team who brought through so many youngsters. So I named him a team who has. Can we afford any of those 3 wages? How can Vale still have opportunities when you got 4 strikers in pathways as you want to bring in Chris Martin to play a bit part role on wages which could be used better So you want to bring in a winger aswell to block players like Chapman, Rothwell, Dolan, Rankin Costello from playing? One minute you say we got a limited budget and we should be signings keepers and defenders and now you want a striker and winger.
  18. I read that has been dismissed at weekend We have 3 main strikers in Armstrong, Gallagher and Brereton. instead of going so direct with Graham type we could move to playing 2 up front in with Gallagher and Armstrong as plan B going forward. Chapman could be used as plan B as long as he keeps up the same performance as Fleetwood. Hopefully thats penny has drop finally with him. Well the other way you are going to know if Vale is ready is by giving him opportunity to play. WE have to use Gallagher and Brereton going forward. We have more pressing matters like bring 3 defenders and back up keeper 1st before we even we start at looking a back up striker. Vale is more of striker than Butterworth is. Butterworth is probably coming from the left side or number 10 role for the 1st team
  19. I think we can bring through more players in the couple of years like Carter, Pike, Eastham, Vale, Brennan and Burns. Middlesbrough have brought through Fry, Coulson, Spence, Pears, Wing and Tavernier in the last couple of years
  20. if you have senior back up striker there surely thats blocking the pathway of a youngster like Jack Vale?
  21. Williams linked with DC United and Swansea. Paul Nealon is the guy linking him to those clubs who is owner Irish fan tv
  22. Thats was mention at the weekend by Sharpe that both are going. What fallen out? Which clubs are being linked to Williams?
  23. Of Course I know Butterworth was injured. Why would you think I wouldn't know. But we have academy and will needed to be using it. We have talent players in academy so we need to bring through more. Jack Vale is going to be good player for us if we bring him through properly
  24. Give Jack Vale and Daniel Butterworth a chance to prove they are good enough instead of bringing in a bit part player
  25. I've been to Newcastle St James Park under Hughes, Kean, Coyle. I remember Derbyshire scoring the last minute winner. Great scenes that. Followed by best night out ever. But their fans werent loud at all. When we won there under Coyle, Their fans were moaning and groaning in the first half of that game at their side poor performance. We played really well that day.
