But why don't Liverpool then? Exactly. We will have a football budget rather a transfer budget and wage budget like I said before. The reason why I say this is based on 2 posts from J^B who says its football or yearly budget. https://www.brfcs.com/mb/index.php?/forums/topic/34532-summer-transfer-window/&do=findComment&comment=2092009 https://www.brfcs.com/mb/index.php?/forums/topic/34174-january-transfer-window-2020/&do=findComment&comment=2033769 I would suggest we got no fee for Matty Platt
-
You have no idea that's where the money came from. It's been reported for a couple of weeks we had a budget. Just people aren't willing to be patience and get it time to get the players in. We probably have 4 or 5 millions as football budget to be spent on the players. Whether 5 or 6 free transfers or a couple of deals around 500k plus wages, then a couple of free transfers. If FFP rules are being relax then it gives us more space.
-
Thanks for sharing what you have heard. But surely the EFL should have sort out this salary cap and relaxing FFP rules weeks ago? The European market is well the value is for players in terms of fees and wages. We can't over pay for players. I think someone like O'Hara would be second keeper. Out of contract. Wont want big wages surely.
-
anything to suggest that we have accept a bid for one of our players?
-
is he someone who has been mention to you from your contacts at the club?
-
well they have. At least we making used of our European scouting network now. I agree, lets get the deal done first
-
Thanks for the link Craig man. 500k seems cheap considering his experience and his stats from last season. Unless the FA waved the Quarantine rules like they have done with Liverpool when they coming back from Austria? Do they have regular Coronavirus testing in Belgium for footballers?
-
Did you ever complain about playing Armstrong or Antonsson on the wing cos they were both strikers by trade? So you agree with me that Nyambe does need to improve going forward? I mention the wages of Westwood being a problem as soon as we were linked with him. Does he want to play regular at some level or happy to collect his wages and leave next summer when his contract is up, thats the question for himself
-
-
Well would he play under Mowbray? Probably not Nyambe going forward isn't going enough going forward. You want your full back provide assists each season? His crossing is woeful and final ball not good enough. Alot of work to do for us plus in his final year of his contract Runs the length of the pitch but no end product?
-
The entire squad is at fault for goals conceded. Whether it was Raya or Walton, Nyambe or Bennett at full, etc. The squad is responsible for the league we got over the last 3 seasons as well as Mowbray and his staff Cos the way we play under Mowbray we need our full backs contributing with goals and assists? You could say that about why did we need Mulgrew contributing with goals and assists when he is a centre back? what you change now? Have you look at the players that were suggested by Andy Watson and @JoeH? what do you think of those suggestions? I mention this a couple of hours about Westwood's wages being a problem and you never raised about how we would match them. why not? If he wants to play and come here he will have to take at least 60% for us to even considering us signing him. The Pears article was by Teesside live wasn't it? the same owners at Lancs Live, so the journalists from both papers would have talked about what they know? Can't imagine Pears going anywhere until Warnock signs a keeper if we are still interested
-
You enjoyed calling our players shit and both have been part of our squad that have improved league position. I grasp what you are saying cos you keep posting weekly and repeating yourself for months about wingers. Andy Watson and @JoeH produced a very detail data analysis of potential players we could sign in the wide forward role Mowbray used. But we need a keeper and centre back in first Nyambe is a defensive full back I agree but not ideal when you need him to assist from that position.
-
Played centre back that game with Adarabioyo With Bennett at Right back. No assists when playing the full back position
-
I think the away shirt needed to green or Yellow strips with Black strips. So we can wear the away shirt more and not need a 3rd shirt. https://www.oldfootballshirts.com/en/teams/b/blackburn-rovers/old-blackburn-rovers-football-shirt-s64423.html https://www.oldfootballshirts.com/en/teams/b/blackburn-rovers/old-blackburn-rovers-football-shirt-s11686.html Thats the type of Green or Yellow I would like to see in away shirt
-
so old comments when people don't agree with yourself I shown you how many assists each full backs did last season. Nyambe has none. I gave my opinion on his attacking threat which isn't at the level we need
-
Its was great in depth detail analysis by Andy Watson and @JoeH. Shows how much detail I hope our own Data analysis do on weekly basis
-
Just highlights what I have said time after time that our full backs provided the width and we don't play with natural wingers or wide players.

Didn't I answered this sort of question before about Marshall age! Do you think my answer has change? and what is that based on that Fox is better than Bell and Williams? Fox was part of the defence that conceded 7 against us. Well you will only know whether we signed better than Fox and Chester after the Transfer window closes Has no reason to lied to the fanbase. No Josh Boswell and Kamy have posted we didn't have much financial room to spend before reaching FFP limits.

1.3 million transfer budget according to Waggott's comments to the Lancashire Telegraph in February https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/18218502.rovers-transfer-window-budget-targets-disappointment/
-
I do scroll past every time you post other fans opinions. Hall, Fox and Chester are no better than we have got here. Fox conceded 7 goals against us and you really think he is better than we got, for example?
-
Well if you actually look at the time both article went live online its was the same time and both papers are owned by the same company. If you actually listened to the Rovers chat podcast you will find out how he find out his info as the same goes for Rich Sharpe. Let's wait and see whether we can afford Westwood's wages first which will be much higher than we be able to afford. Supposedly to be 30k according some online websites. So before you get ahead of your self. We have an interest in this player so lets see if it goes anywhere. Other Championship teams struggling to bring in number 1 keeper like Birmingham, Bournemouth, Boro, Huddersfield and Rotherham all wanted keepers to be their number 1. Isn't Etheridge wages 30k a week at Cardiff. Do you really think we can afford those sort of wages?

Rovers remain in the market for two new additions in their goalkeeping department, with their search for a first-choice set to intensify in the coming days. Mowbray would prefer a permanent addition and Bond would fit that category, and his demands would fit Rovers' wage structure. However, Rovers are also open to potential loan options, having been priced out of a move for Daniel Iversen but are still keeping tabs on Manchester City's Arijanet Muric. Wages are a stumbling block in that regard, with City holding out for a deal that would see Muric become one of Rovers' highest-earning players, although Rovers are hoping to sight the successful loan of Tosin Adarabioyo as a bargaining chip if they were to enter negotiations. Links to Aynsley Pears have simmered and murmurs of a European goalkeeper have since surfaced as of late. Anton Mitryushkin, a 24-year-old Russian who left FC Sion this summer, has attracted interest from across Europe, including Ligue 1 side Monaco, and the goalkeeper would tick the right boxes in a young, developing goalkeeper with ball-playing capabilities. https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/transfer-news/blackburn-rovers-goalkeeper-transfers-bond-18800543

Yes my point is that if Mowbray still wants a ball player centre back(who is also good defending) then no point signing some one else! Thanks @Kamy100 for sharing your info. I see that as we won't be spending any more 7 million pounds on players. But looking to bring through more academy players, cheap low fee players and looking towards the foreign player market where we can players for low fees instead of paying 1.5 million for league 2 centre defender. Surely making the club self sufficient is more of long term target of the owners and cannot be done overnight IMO.

Yes I would be happy cos I don't want to mess around again like we was with Jack Rodwell in the previous summer window when we got no word from him about renewing? If yoi are happy to be messed around again then so be it If Downing wanted to back here he would have re sign here by now. If he comes now is he just coming back here cos he can't get a better offer someone else or at the clubs in league 1 or championship he thought he might get How was Lindsay very much secondary to Pinnock in league 1? Muric is clearly a talent keeper otherwise he wouldn't be at Man City and on such a long term contract there would he? But he isn't the experience keeper we need who can play for us for a few seasons with younger keeper under him. I would encourage to stop listening to other fans comments on players who are leaving that club. But you will never learn. But I haven't be disappointed that we miss on most players thats have signed for Championship clubs so far. I am disappointed we missed on Fox or Chester or Grant Hall? Not at all.
