  1. This is where the club let itself down every time. This situation should have been resolve on Saturday night/Sunday. Rovers would have seen the rumours and did no one asked him pre game, is the anything in these rumours/report, yet Rovers management did nothing yet again No presser yesterday Cos it called proper communication with your fan base and stakeholders. The important people that is your core of the club. Rovers could have simply said that whilst Eustace and co have talks with Derby, Damien Johnson will lead the team as interim head coach and support by David Lowe, Mike Sheron, Karl Hodges and Ben Benson. That's proper and correct communication with your fans
  2. What does it matter why he ain't coming. Full stop. I read somewhere that Cooper is still being paid by Leicester so no way are we paying compo for him I have no idea what Elliott has said. What your shortlist and who is first choice from it?
  3. really guys? Of course its the business of every fan and stakeholder in the club. The poor communication has been mentioned to them several times and as a Rovers fan and STH we have a right to know what is going, who will be in charge for tomorrow game and who took training today. We the Rovers fan base have a right to know
  4. is this a real question? Cooper is still being paid by Leicester and are we likely to pay his compo to bring in to the club RF99 The communication from the club is poor again.
  5. Nope, I have email the club this afternoon asking who is in charge for the game and who took training today. No response, email sent around dinner time ish. Can @K-Hod, @Mike Graham @Miller11 mention to the club management in the next manager about the lack of clear communication to the Rovers fans about who would be in charge of the WBA game and who is taking charge of training whilst Eustace and his staff are in talks with Derby
  6. I think I have been more than clear on everything to do with the recruitment side of the team and what I think went on behind the scenes in terms of power struggles, disagreements and comparisons on transfer targets. Is it? cos you trust the source of the info? Just like we know now that McBurnie was target despite you dismissing it. Here a question for you, should Rovers have sign one of three players of Bamford, Thomas-Asante and McBurnie who were Eustace's target for the striker signing?
  7. This football Governance Bill will take years to come into force and IFR won't have the powers to removed Venkys. Venkys are running the club effective and as business Yes we all agree with how they are running and the decisions made by the owners and people appointed in key off the field roles. no engagement with the fans and lack of communication to the fanbase being a massive issue.
  8. Fair enough. I think it was well known that I wouldn't agree its damming but as soon as I heard him say that I thought he is laying the foundations for the reasons why he wants out and using that as one plus he will say his lack of transfer say and lack of long term planning at Rovers for the reasons from moving on and going to derby. I don't blame Eustace but Rovers should have spend more and differently in both window. If we buying Karbgo for around £1m why didn't they not backed Eustace's choice of Dembele for example. Or why did we buy Toth instead of spending an extra 200/300k to get Jeffery De Lange as first choice keeper with Pears as number 2 or even selling him and signing Begovic as number 2. So I'm sure we would have all spent the money differently or signed different players given the choice. In January, we should have spent money and buy some players and long term contracts. Instead we chosen a short term approach instead of thinking of any medium to long term approach which is worry to be honest
  9. No way is Steve Cooper coming here.
  10. @Mike E link provided here
  11. I provided the link in the WATR thread
  12. I've been waiting for you to something similar to me since Yesterday. The problem with your post is that you don't mentioned that Eustace was promised the £5m in the summer that GB tried to buy McGuire with in previous winter window when being offered the job and negotiations to become our next head coach. Then factoring in that GB and Kimberley plus other recruitment staff left before the summer. We appointed John Park, Rudy Gestede and Adam Owen into 3 different roles but all having a say into transfers and who we targets and possible targets during the summer. From what we know we had a transfer committee deciding who we went for during the summer, so normally and naturally you different opinions, different targets suggestions, disagreements and comparisons needed which is what we witnessed all the summer. No way, did Eustace wants or suggest Ohashi or Gueye or Toth as transfer targets but I think its safe to say that Batth, Weimann and Cantwell were his targets. Its clear to see Eustace wanted Dembele or Stansfield but gone neither. As I said, I think we witness a power struggle as such between Eustace and Park vs Gestede and Owen in the summer over signings. Both sides have successes and failures. Just to add that if me and you were in charge of making signings we would have different targets and spend the money so comparison and agreement will always need to happen just like Klopp did when he wanted Julian Brandt but his recruitment staff wanted and suggested Mo Salah. They convince Klopp to backed their judgement and Liverpool signed Mo Salah and looked at the success he been. Moving on to the January transfer window, Thinks its clear Eustace wanted Rovers to spend money and early in the window. We know he had his transfer targets for the number 9 position which was McBurnie, Bamford and Thomas-Asante. He expected Rovers management back him and signed one of those. We didn't. Eustace is big on Championship experience and That's doesn't align with Rovers budget. Rovers did signed 5 players with experience of English football but all either loans or short term contracts. I don't think any apart from Sanderson was his choice, with that I think Karbgo, Dennis and Ribeiro all have more than decent games against Wolves. I also think Eustace was unhappy we didn't invest more of the Szmodics money in the either transfer window and also lack of contract renewals of key players like Hyam, Brittain, Tronstad and Travis. So in short didn't have a simple director of football/head coach structure but an over complicated structure with more voices than ever with 4 or 5 people involved
  13. That's signings Eustace, just like he wanted Ruddy, Dembele and Stansfield this past summer and he wanted one of Thomas-Asante, McBurnie or Bamford to be sign in January
  14. I think we all knew that his family hadn't moved here and he was living in a hotel here. He was very clever to drop the family card post game Weimann and McFadzean were his signings aswell as Cantwell? wasn't Sanderson his signing?
  15. They will simply just cut the operating budget at Rovers, playing staff budget cut, staff cuts, etc. That is what they will do.
  16. Of course it wont happened, but over half of the STH have walked away and nothing has changed. The stadium could be empty and the owners won't care, They will just simply order Pasha to cut the cloth accordingly and we ended up worst off, more budget cuts, more staff cuts, etc. I would suggest any protest isn't going to work cos the owners are in India. Have you listen to @Miller11on Radio Lancs this morning?
  17. really? You really think any manager gives a toss about a statement about Eustace. no way. This job is very appealing in the short term cos get us into the playoffs and its a success for them. Get us promotion, Rovers fans will adore him.
  18. in what terms are we talking about? delivering Eustace's targets or the fact we didn't bring players earlier in the window? etc. Please provide the context and I will answer of course
  19. Damien Johnson will take them unless we make an appointment today I would take it that Damien Johnson is taking training today with Sheron and Lowe today
  20. plenty of people have been staying away and nothing has changed I know a few who walked away during the Kean and Relegation season and said they would come back after he left. They didn't and not been back since.
  21. Nixon is waiting for things to settle down and finding out whether there is order to the list or just an open field Never happening. Cooper thinks he is PL manager and has big ego
  22. Johnson's role is working with players individual and helping them develop and improve them. Johnson would work with the defence structure pre game under JDT and under Eustace, His staff Gardiner and Downing ran the show this season and Johnson would work Travis and Tronstad pre game of course, we will have plenty of interested from people but I think they will look for an appointment that will fit into their model and work with little transfer say. Expect an foreign head coach or a coach who has never been first team head coach before.
  23. different clubs have different ways or different structures. Some head coaches have more of a say in recruitment then others. Reading between the lines Eustace wants more of a say than ever and he wanted certain types. Also I think he was promised when being interview for the job more of a say in recruitment then he got. Eustace wanted experienced Championship players in the summer and winter windows, yes he got some of his targets but others he didn't. He wanted Cooper but couldn't agree a deal, or Dembele who he wanted but others didn't want him. I think its clear that Eustace, Park, Owen and Gestede was never in line in terms of what we want, target markets, and who the targets should be. I think we seen a power struggle between Eustace and Park vs Gestede and Owen on transfer targets and we seen both sides have successes and failures. When you look at the January window aswell articles from Elliott Jackson in the last 2 days plus Nixon's articles and comments on the power struggle since the summer, Its seems Eustace had his own targets and I don't think he got any of them. He did refer to Karbgo signing as the club signing which seems to me he wasn't in favour of him coming in and probably thinking why didn't we sign Dembele instead. He was clearly unhappy with the slowest January Window and the fact we didn't sign his own targets. Rovers management clearly think they have bought in players with experience he wanted and think they have delivered what he wanted. I can see their point but looking at it from Eustace point of view, he clearly unimpressed with the lateness of the signings and short term nature of the signings plus I don't think Dennis and Woodrow was his own targets. I don't think he really wanted them either but accept them reluctantly. I also think Eustace knew that Derby job might come available and what their terms were being offered cos Derby wouldn't have approach us unless they knew Eustace would come. I think it is utter bizarre that this issue wasn't sorted on Sunday afternoon/evening post game and Eustace even gave them a chance to keep him and offered him a new contract and assurances he wanted. The Rovers management wouldn't give him what he wanted, so John Eustace has said he wanted to go Derby cos he has got the assurances he wanted over budget, contract, influence on transfer policy which will be what John Eustace will say are his reasons whilst Rovers management will say that they couldn't agree to John Eustace terms cos that doesn't fit the club management structure and transfer policy. Eustace clearly now felt all summer till now that what he signed up and what he was promised wasn't what was delivered but he delivered Rovers a good hard working team that is 6th but he feels that going to Derby is a better fit for him and his management ways. I am gutted we lose him, Gardiner and Downing but Rovers management team could have stopped all this and give him what he wanted. I didn't expected them to cos then they look weak. Its a mess and one that didn't need to happened. So, its now over to them to bring in a new head coach and assistant to work with Johnson, Lowe and Benson. He has a good overall squad and any new appointment need to hit the ground running. I would also say that it is important that any new head coach gets a good working relationship with Travis and get him on side. Also it is important that Rovers secure the future of Travis, Tronstad, Hyam and Brittain for the future of the team and club. overt to the Rovers management team to deliver.
