  1. I wonder if he has apply for the job?
  2. They not underwhelming but they are very few British based head coaches who are stand out candidate cos each one has their success and failure. I would look towards the foreign market and bring in head coach from overseas. Someone who is similar style to Eustace who will well organised the team, understand that not alot need to be change tactical or style way. well the last 3 appointments have all been good haven't they? why will the season fizzle out? we 5th in the league. You acted like we are 8th or 9th. You dismissed the team picked on Wednesday as "Rubbish team." and "Comfortable home win." Just how wrong you were and this set of players and coaches proved you wrong didn't there. Rovers players and coaches were motivated and ready for Wednesday game so why not the same for tomorrow and Saturday game?
  3. His main 2 staff was Gary McAlistar and Tom Clushaw at Villa and Rangers. Critchley joined him at Villa as first team coach and Beale was first team coach at Rangers and number 2 in Saudi. He has Ian Foster and Dean Holden as his number 2 also out in Saudi Cos people don't see an obvious and clear choice.
  4. Backing up exactly what @Paul Maniposted on here.
  5. Of course you are going to get disagreeing on signings within any football club. That's natural and you need find an agreement with your structure. Eustace wanted Championship experience signings which on Rovers budget is hard. Even yourself says we can't afford some players in the British market so we need to look to sign Foreign markets for similar quality but lower cost. That's football. The head coach need to understand that and work within the budget and understanding. A head coach doesn't have the time to properly scout players hence why the Chief Scout and Dof Find the players and present a shortlist of 3-5 to the head coach to pick from. Isn't that normal at most clubs these days?. Yes I know the article, I posted on here He wasnt happy we didn't one of those players or spend money given it what we received in the 12 months. Dennis, Woodrow and Kargbo weren't his signings but he agreed to them at least. Kargbo looked good in his first 2 games to be fair. Dennis did well against Wolves. Yet we sit 5th in the league with 14 games to go. Who was behind Cantwell signing? I dont know. Probably Eustace and Park. You were a fan of his, now change your opinion? Interesting Cos I read some articles about his tactical approach at Young Boys. Have a look online.
  6. When has Ryan Lowe got promotion from Championship to PL? Sometimes a person can fit a club or squad whilst at others they don't.
  7. He has done a good job at Leyton Orient and I would take him over possible candidates like Karanka or Ryan Lowe. Like I said he isn't my first choice at all. My first 2 choices would be Gary O'Neil and Raphael Wicky. I'm sure other Foreign head coaches interested so I would be open minded on it and Your questions were answered. So you telling me that Eustace didn't sign off any of our January window signings? Was Dennis and Woodrow signed against his wishes in your opinion? or is it the case he wanted his own targets who we couldn't sign for different reasons and wanted our attacking signings to be done earlier in the window? Eustace's wanted a proven Championship striker and he also wanted us to spend some of the money we have received over the 12 months. Plus he didn't get the £5m spend he was promised when he joined. Have the recruitment team really done a bad job in signings in terms? Its been more than decent like Beck, Ohashi and Gueye whilst Toth has been poor so far but barely played, so maybe be time to see n the future, some improvement if he has regular game time. Whilst Eustace get his championship experience players in like Baker, McFaz, Batth in. Most head coaches tend to come with their own number 2 and maybe another coach, but that's it. They don't have their complete back room staff with them
  8. If you wanted to just go to the match and decide a hour before can you not juts go to the ticket office which is open
  9. I can honestly say I was wrong to write him off so quickly. I can admitted that and hold my hands up ✋Can you admitted you were wrong and hold up hands like me and others have done? In early games, they were signs of decent hold up play and bits like that, but as I have said before to yourself previously, for me his sending off against the dingles massively affected him as a player and confidence. In the last 2 months, we seen a vast improvement in Gueye's performances and the improvement in his games. I am pleased for him and I'm delighted he has proved me wrong.
  10. No, cos I expected a foreign appointment That the structure we have, so we have to appoint someone who will work within that. Head coaches need recruitment staff to research, scout and watch potential signings cos they are busy working with the first team players and training them, plus games. So you need a good Chief Scout with good scouts plus Director of Football to find the players that the head coach wants to improve the squad or a missing link. The structure isn't going to change where Gestede and Owen run the football side of it. Have the recruitment department got many signings looking at it? The problem was Eustace wanted to spend money we received(which I agree with) and signing championship experience players. Problem with that, wages are high and we can't afford that. You appoint an head coach who is happy to work in that structure which is likely why we appoint an foreign head coach is will accept that structure and experience of working in that structure cos that way alot of foreign clubs work I suggested Eustace before JDT leaving as possible appointment. Agree with Gary O'Neil
  11. I wanted more from Gueye, but for me, a I said his confidence was knocked after the Burnley game. I think it took him a while to gain that back Gueye's recent form I would put down to 3 things, one confidence since he scored at Sheffield, Working hard his training and The staff working with him. Gueye has 7 gaols so far this season, so another 3 goals in 14 games should be possible. Gueye's hold up play, plus link play is getting better.
  12. Gary O'Neil Raphael Wicky Rob Edwards Neil Harris David Wagner Richie Wellens Philippe Montanier I think we will go foreign head coach cos they will accept Gestede and Owen having more of say in transfers than a British head coach does
  13. He won't need to moved for family reasons or homesick
  14. I'm nowhere saying he is the man cos I don't an outstanding choice out there and think he the right man to guide and into next season. Cos I don't. He is doing a good choice at Orient and I think it maybe worth a risk. I would interviewing people today and next few days then pick my choice by Tuesday and appointed them afterwards. Do you want people I would be interviewing right now?
  15. Ok thanks for reply. Rovers should be talking and interviewing different head coaches now. This is attractive head coach job. Would you be happy with Richie Wellens getting the head coach job? I think its a risk but could be worth it. Has a mixed record, but doing a very good job at Leyton Orient and lived in Manchester for years. Has pros and cons.
  16. @roversfan99 did you think it was wrong to write him off too quickly and what was needed was time and patience plus abit of coaching and learning for him? Looking good for at least 10 goals this season so would you say you would be happy with that return from him considering what we spent on him?
  17. It should be already done and if not can we not do 2 things at once
  18. I agree 100%. We need a head coach that will come in and carry playing similar way with changing little tactical things but major. Any head coach is getting a job with us in playoffs, a team united and fan based right behind these players and coaching staff why not just Mike Sheron who step up from under 21's last night be that person so you would say we need a head coach appointment after Plymouth game and before the next week with an appointment Monday/Tuesday at the latest?
  19. This will be a tough game. Plymouth are performing very well under their new head coach. My team would be Pears Brittain Sanderson Hyam Ribeiro Travis Buckley Dolan Weimann Karbgo Gueye
  20. @unleaded, do you know how many scouts we have and have we appoint a Chief Scout yet?
  21. Warnock was very harsh on their performance last night and their signing of Iheanacho he wasn't too keen or Boro signing him as Latth's replacement
  22. David Lowe mentioned this post match and it was good to hear that. People on here made several comments over the way they players look and it wasn't in a good way but how wrong there way.
  23. Yes I bemoaned the lack of communication from Rovers over this situation to us the fans. Yes I bemoaned the situation not be sorted quickly over whether Eustace was staying or going. That's what I bemoaned about. A proper clear statement to the supporters of our club and communicated properly what has happened and what the plan is. Exactly what I wanted for the last 4 days. very disappointed to hear he was approach on Friday and his words post words on Sunday that he didn't know about the approach until after the words was lies. Should we be surprised or shocked by that? Not at all. Eustace did a brilliant job here but Rovers and John should have sorted this situation better from both side. I wish him well now in his decision but Rovers need to move on, get 3 points on Saturday and appoint a new head coach when we find the right appointment
