  1. This could go on for a lifetime if no vaccine is found for many years. Most Football clubs would be gone.. My sports subscription will resume as soon as live sport is back. I miss everything. Seeing family, friends, going football with daughter and friends, watching sport, going on holidays, days outs, and socialising with family and friends in the pub. But I follow the rules and guidelines set by the government and saficise our daily life to stay safe and protect us, others and NHS.
  2. I suspect if you null and void the season, clubs will take league authorities to court..can see WBA, Leeds being just 2 of them of loads. If you null and void the season how do you sort out the Champions league and Europa leagues spots? But clubs would still generate some sort of income through tv rights and fans buying I follow subscription like season ticket. Even scraping it the season will leave clubs bringing lawyers in to sue the leagues authorities.
  3. Another good suggestion Stuart. Not in favour of shorter season as I think you could fit full season by having no League cup or FA cup for 1 season. If the season was to start in October.
  4. And what happens if no vaccine is ever found? What the Dutch going to do then? We have heard many of our football clubs rely on fans attending game. Rovers CEO say that 20% of our income. Many league 1 and 2 clubs who are businesses in reality will go bust over the next year I predict. Expect 15 clubs to go bust UEFA have already said that the season must be finish by End of July. Our Footballing authorities? Well the FA has been silent just like UEFA have. Who both havent said much. The Premier League has engaged with the clubs and try to up with workable plan. The Government has put health first before our economy by keeping the lockdown in place for seventh week in a row. The government is trying to work with Sporting authorities of different sports. Many sports are affected by this whether it Cricket or Golf or etc. 2 sports where I was set to attend during the summer..
  5. Well that's the case then we might have to wait to vaccine which could be years if we find one. What happens if we dont? Shut football completely down for ever? Do Footballers deserve a vaccine before the majority of people? Of course NHS and Social Care staff plus the elderly and most valuable people 1st.
  6. Wait and see what plans are unveil first. Stop rushing and wait and see what plans and structure are put in place. Still a month before the rumour start date.
  7. From what I understand Clubs and PL want to finish the season. Some Players want to get back players so wont. Like I said wait and see what the government announce on Sunday and what the PL meeting on Monday comes up with. I guess we will look at the German model how they doing it.
  8. Depends what safeguards and precautions will be put in place by the FA, PL and Government. wait and see what discussions happen and what is put in place.
  9. Waggott on Rovers playing behind close doors https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/18431623.rovers-ceo-challenge-behind-closed-doors-matches/
  10. Will be interesting to see the German leagues go.
  11. Supposedly German football back on 15th May
  12. Some League 1 clubs have said they cant restarted cos majority of their players are out of contract at end of this month. The EFL Chiefs will meet on Monday to discuss further plans some PL clubs are backing into training already. German league chiefs and Government officials have bought in a raft of measures including the continuous monitoring and testing of players. The German FA and league chiefs will meet tomorrow to discuss further details. Teams will also have to spend time in quarantine before games can restart. I wonder if the British government will announce similar measures on Sunday night.
  13. The German government have given their approval to the football ahead. Will be interesting to see what PM Johnson and Government says on Sunday night about sport in general. I wouldn't be surprise if Championship games go ahead but I expect league 1 and 2 will end now.
  14. The German league is restarting with a new few weeks. Turkish football restarting aswell in June.
  15. 3 rooms in the house decorated in past 2 weeks. Just waiting for Kitchen cupboards doors and kitchen floors tiles to arrive then that will be inside the house done.
  16. Yes some are. Parry mentions there is 200 million pounds black hole for clubs My point is players have share some of financial burden in this time. That's my point. There is around 1400 players out of contract come end of June with the EFL leagues. So getting the Premier League to help out EFL players would be good thing to ensure vast majority are Footballers next season
  17. Walk away to what if all of Europe is shut down due to second wave of the virus? Some of our EFL clubs are going to bankrupt and that fans/community without a club shortly without the right financial package.
  18. @Stuart is one of best idea I've seen so far. Very good idea. But you are correct that many different parties wont be in favour of including PFA wont be in favour of players not getting paid for ages, some clubs wont be in favour of it. And UEFA will want PL clubs for their competitions next season. Will they wait? I also note UEFA have been silent so far
  19. Rick Parry speaking to the committee of department of culture, media and sport today
  20. It's from the Daily Telegraph originally. Fans arent going to allow in stadiums for many months to come. Games behind closed doors will happen before that
  21. Happy Birthday Mr Tony Parkes
