  1. ....fully aware, but in fact when you only visit occasionally, the sad deterioration is probably even more noticeable. But new season, new start ....and having been over 200 miles away for 40 years, and mainly watching away games with the odd Ewood visit, I am about to move back closer (to about 100 miles), so intend to be a much more regular visitor very soon. Today, a comfortable 3 - 1 (maybe)
  2. Excited for this one today - hoping to see a new, and hopefully effective, approach but prepared for it to take a few games for the boss to get things really moving. (these boards tend to show that Rovers fans have always had an infinite capacity for pessimism, negativity and misery - probably a local trait - but it eventually wears off when you live away from the area for a long time....)
  3. Watford fans I know all seem to believe that Dyche has agreed to return there once Hodgson goes at the end of the season....
  4. Watford supporters I know are convinced that Dyche is going back to Vicarage Road ....
  5. Was planning to watch this on RoversTV (not really sure why), but doesn't seem to be available, yet ?
  6. Perhaps TM is going to shock us all and play Gallagher through the middle, with Khadra & Dolan wide .... (doubt it though)
  7. I thought before the game last night that a draw would be a reasonable result - to lose it in added time was just tragic. On the game itself - we were overrun and hopeless for the first 10-15mins, then gradually got ourselves together. The defence, and midfield improved and for the second half we were the better side, even before the sending off. Pickering, although completely off the pace at first got more involved and probably had our best shot on goal, I think he does make a difference. But the real problem as we all know is not being able to score - we need to change things around although with the resources we have I'm not sure how (until Dack is fit to start)... do we give Vale a try ? Saturday against QPR is going to be another hard game, and then Fulham away we can just forget about.
  8. I know TM has said he isn't ready, but I still wouldn't be surprised to see Dack on the bench tonight ...
  9. Not expecting much from this, it will be v difficult. But - going by Saturday's teamsheet, Pickering should be back and our drop in form seems to have more or less coincided with his absence, so maybe he will make a difference.
  10. Inspection at 12 ... doesn't look good https://twitter.com/Rovers/status/1495002880557953029?s=20&t=DZ0m5D0r17drjryOTNfhBw
  11. Got a feeling Dack will be on the bench tomorrow night ....more as a morale booster than a serious option.
  12. I think I'd rather we were playing Leicester on Wednesday, they were awful. If Forest are half as fired up as yesterday it is going to be a very difficult game. Fingers crossed ....
  13. Not sure he has a lot of choice about that today .... lets hope Giles/Hedges show us something, I expect we'll see Khadra/BBD sometime in the 2nd half.
  14. Ground that one out , with the injuries we have it's a good result, but can't carry on like it for long.
  15. Another result ground out in a way we haven't done for a very long time .....a really important win. Thought the defence, especially Lenihan were outstanding - and Gallagher worked hard (as he usually does) and got a winner from nowhere. Travis made a huge difference in midfield. Johnson was absent for most of the first half, but improved later on. Edun - I think shows some promise, but was outclassed too many times by a very good player against him especially in the second half. He looks much happier going forward but when defending he really shows his inexperience ( should have cost us a penalty) , and our performances have definitely dipped without Pickering. But at the moment I don't see an alternative. Liked the look of Zeefuik in the few minutes we saw.
  16. I would have played BBD if he was available, but agree he has been poor and looked tired in the last few games. Hopefully a trip to see his Chilean mates will get him firing again.
  17. A work commitment meant this was the first game I hadn't been able to watch for quite a while - managed to see the last 20mins, but from that I was glad to have missed the rest. But we haven't really played well for a couple of games now and this was coming. On to the next one.
  18. Me too ....and I actually saw all the game except for the last couple of minutes (when RoversTV kicked me out). Must have decided to just issue refunds to everyone.
  19. Quite glad RoversTV kicked me out in injury time and I couldn't get back in ..... too stressful watching most of that. V poor performance, but a win. Kaminski saved us when it mattered. Felt a bit sorry for Gallagher ...looked OK when he came on and was helping us get forward more, but then got marooned alone up front a few minutes later when Nyambe went off.
