Three very hard fixtures this week, and realistically five points or above would have made everyone very happy - but given the opposition to come away with four points out of nine is not a bad result. Injuries to some key players are the real issue which could be a problem. Can't fault the team spirit though.
If TM is concerned he can always bring him off late in the game with a "slight muscle strain" or similar (Mulgrew too perhaps) .... Mr Ferguson used that trick for years to withdraw his players from internationals.
I was watching on the iFollow stream and couldn't believe how bright they were - I assumed it was a fault on the video at first. Really distracting, and made it very difficult to see players and the ball at times.
I agree - England will only pull out if a number of other high profile countries agree to do the same (e.g. Germany), they won't boycott alone. FIFA won't do anything at all.
But fans will need to think very carefully about going.
Absolutely farcical .... just accept that many decisions in football are subjective and a matter of opinion, and people's opinions will always differ.
Let the referee decide, and just get on with it. Some decisions will go your team's way, some won't.
Keep the goal-line technology .... a nice and simple objective matter of fact ( technology can cope with that)
Last night's game, and the discussion on here show exactly why VAR can only work for decisions of fact (like offside, goal-line etc.) - foul play (and most penalties) in football are subjective and based on opinion which will always differ between different viewers.
