  1. Hi I am currently on holiday in Turkey, will I be able to watch Rovers on ifollow as usual or is that only possible in the UK?
  2. Can’t see the game, who in particular apart obviously Leutwiler and Smallwood?
  3. Thank goodness we replaced Downing, Rodwell and Mulgrew with new CBs, oh wait a minute???????
  4. I think that TM was holding back what money he had hoping to get Reed at the end of the window at a bargain price. He did try for him apparently, but failed!! So money wasted or more for Jan window? My view is he should have spent it on a really good CB. It could cost him his job if things don’t go well.
  5. It would seem that we probably had to guarantee Tosin a starting place for the majority of the games. If we then went and got a really good CB or Hanley, they would have had to play as well, so where would that have left Lennihan? Signing a CB who would be willing to warm the bench wouldn’t have improved our 1st team and could have blocked the progression of our academy players. Letting Mulgrew leave is no loss to the defence, but leaves us short of good enough CBs for cover. If we DO manage to sign the LB then at least we will have strengthened the back 4.
  6. I think that after his fine pre-season we will see Brereton start ahead of DG. Why? Because the new style of play is based on quick interplay which needs mobility and speed, something that DG for all his many fine attributes is lacking.
  7. I agree. We need competition to freshen things up when somebody is flagging or off form. You need a depth of squad to get promoted, especially as rotation will be needed for the twice weekly games and injuries. Another CB after Tosin and we could be looking good for the season. Ps I wouldn’t be surprised if Reid doesn’t rock up next Thursday when he doesn’t get in the Southampton team.
  8. It’s a tricky one that’s for sure, league 1 development or take his opportunity, eventually, like Travis did. I would prefer to assume that cream will always rise to the top and I think that we need the “something different” that he can offer. If we do well in the league teams will start to play deeper and become difficult to break down. He could provide that guille that we might need. He might get his chance in Dack’s role when he gets tired or is ineffective. I would prefer him to stay and gradually work his way into the team and become irreplaceable like Travis. Exciting to contemplate though isn’t it. ??
  9. I am sure that somebody on here had said that we had representatives up in Glssgow and intimated that they were after a winger who could play as a wing back. I would presume that it would be a right sided wingback as Nyambe is good defensively but doesn’t have an end product when he goes forward.
  10. I agree, I would rather know that we are after certain positions and that they are close. Names would be great, but they could scupper deals and that’s not what we want. It shows intent and that gives us hope that we might be in a position to challenge the top 6. Lack of any info just makes certain people on here sharpen the knives for Mowbray.
  11. That’s what I was thinking. A possible new start down under.
  12. A work colleague is a Derby fan and he said that Bradley Johnson is a good signing, but Butterfield is really bad. He had good passing stats only because he passes sideways all the time. Although he did say he had a good shot on him. I hope that we avoid him like the plague!!
  13. He may be the one earmarked for the “premiership loan”?
  14. But didn’t he end up on their bench at the end of the season.
  15. Buckley has previously attracted premiership interest (as an investment) before he signed a new contract.
  16. Which Lowe are you referring to, please not the one it took us ages to get rid of?
  17. Well that rules out John Ruddy ha ha he’s not got any hair.
  18. Surely we can do better especially if we are able to pay a reasonable fee. John Ruddy would be my choice.
