  1. Yes but he isn’t very good in the air for somebody so tall.
  2. I have asked:- Peterborough chairman 3 times, Richard Sharpe twice and Nixon twice about Maddison sand none have replied!!
  3. I think a 15 goal a season striker would cost a lot more than £2.5M. I think Maddison scored 12 goals and had 23 assists in 2017-18!! That would be a pretty good return for £2.5M.
  4. Keep the dream alive you never know. It all depends on highly Tony rates him. He could see him as a major catalyst to make things happen, in which case he may think £2.5M is a price worth paying. Until he has gone somewhere else I will keep wishing and hoping.
  5. http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2018/07/10/do-west-brom-among-bookies-favourites-to-sign-peterboroughs-marc/ Maybe it's not us, although it has been reported that 2 championship clubs have met his release clause of £2.5M - Us and West Brom? The bookies clearly don't think it is us.
  6. Hi do you have any idea what the fee is likely to be? I am sure that the Peterborough chairman in one of his tweets mentioned a £2.5 release clause payable in one lump sum and yet somebody is quoting him as saying it is "£1M ish". Do you know the answer?
  7. Yes I did the same last week with no reply, so hopefully it might be us, especially as he will be aware that Rovers like to negotiate secretly until the deal is done.
  8. If it is a season long loan it would be good as he is in his last year of his contract and would be a free agent at the end of the loan. Fee to pay though because of his age. I can understand Mowbray being cautious with him after such a very bad injury. Good idea not to risk a fee to buy him until he has proven himself fit.
  9. Yes and he was injured when we played them at Ewood, so not much to go off. If you watch his YouTube videos he has a wand of a left foot.
  10. On twitter somebody said that with the loan fee he was costing about £40k per week.
  11. I think an “inverted winger” is a winger who plays in the middle of the park.
  12. Yes I’m following him just in case he gives something away. First thing I thought when he mentioned instalments that it could be us, but can’t see us paying £2.5M for him.
  13. It is a risk that Mowbray doesn't seem to want to take and values harmony and team spirit above all else. He seems to put a lot of store in loyalty and fairness. Saying that if Christiano Ronaldo was to come the rest of the team might understand make an exception.?
  14. I agree with Maddison as I have been pushing his case on here. However, somebody on here had said that he was rumoured to have a bad attitude. But he does score goals for a winger (Peterborough 177 apps/42 goals) and lots of assists. I found this on google: - Available for £2.5m, Rangers must consider Marcus Maddison ... score plenty of goals in the Scottish Premiership throughout 2017-18, they still ... every two games with a whopping 23assists in his 53 league and cup outings.
  15. Good shout, but there are a lot of clubs after him who have more resources.
  16. Mowbray said that he didn't want to disrupt our pay structure so that he didn't upset our existing players. I think a championship player with a good goal scoring record would cost a fortune and demand a large salary. If we could get Armstrong for £1M and on £10K pw I think that would be a very good deal as I am sure that Graham and Mulgrew and probably Dack will be on at least that or even more and so would be within our pay structure.
  17. But they would be out of our price range. At least with Armstrong he is young, has pace, two good feet, we know what he is capable of and his best position, but mostly with Mowbray's help he can hopefully improve. The fact that he has not been a roaring success in the championship with either Barnsley or Bolton should actually work in our favour as it should surely limit what NUFC could ask for him. A new loan with us where he is a success would put him out of our reach financially. Because of our financial limitations we have to take risks and signing him permanently should be one of them imo.
  18. He also had a good season with Luton. If you see his goals on youtube they are well taken not lucky.
  19. I am not sure if he has been snapped up, but he is only 29, he did well with Fulham and Derby don't seem to want him for some reason.
