January Transfer window 2022

A wild guess, but Siriki Dembele from Peterborough maybe. His contract is up in the summer I believe, so is our sort of signing and is only 25 (?). -

Offer him a two year deal and then loan him out for the rest of the season. -

Yes he is certainly limited, but as you say he would suit our present style and he is a very good finisher. He is older and we are trying to build a young hungry side, based on pace on the counter attack. Maja is a very good prospect if he is fully fit, but is he rapid? -

This link will give you a very good insight into his strengths and weaknesses. Pace is mentioned as one of his strengths. https://totalfootballanalysis.com/player-analysis/rhys-healey-at-toulouse-202122-scout-report-tactical-analysis-tactics -

He has been compared to Vardy at Leicester. btw how can you write him off so easily without having seen him? -

If we show real ambition it may persuade our contract rebels to sign new contracts. -

Maybe it means Souttar is coming, although the Scottish papers are saying he’s going to Rangers. -

Knowing TM he’ll play him in the next game just to get his confidence back, because TM sees himself as a “nice guy”. -

Hi yes I do please. The YouTube highlights of him show him to be a good tackler but also a very aggressive tackler. Is he too aggressive and therefore a liability for getting red and yellow cards? Also, why has he not made it at Hertha? -

It isn’t Chris Wilder that was interested, it was Warnock. -

This team works hard for each other and I love the midfield three at the moment. The conditions today didn’t suit our style of play, quick breaks and tricky close control was not possible today so I couldn’t see us scoring, but what a fantastic goal it was, an amazing header! Preston had more of the ball and generally passed it better but didn’t do anything with it. They are dirty bully boys who were allowed to foul without censure from Gavin Ward the referee and seemed to get every iffy decision in their favour such was the terrible standard of refereeing. As a result I believe we deserved the result today. However, we are scoring from very few chances created, the exact opposite to last season. I am concerned what will happen when our luck runs out, another long run of defeats maybe. I am not getting too carried away because our goals could easily dry up as we are relying too much on BBD. At least we should enjoy it whilst we can and hopefully we make some good additions in January that will improve the number of chances made. -

Unless it triggers a large loyalty payment and they are open to a sale in January if a big enough bid is made?💁 -

I’d prefer Healey, he’s more of a natural goal scorer. Unfortunately prem sides are also looking at him so unfortunately the opportunity to get him may have been missed. -

1864, are these changes that we as fans will notice and be heartened by? -

Yes but everyone has a “price” it’s just that we don’t seem to want to pay him what his agent thinks he’s worth. I guess that it would disrupt their pay structure leading to demands for more money from other players. If not then the lost transfer fee would I’m sure make up for the extra pay. If he was fully signed up he must be worth at least £1M probably even £2M. £1M is about £5000 a week extra for four years(if my maths is correct), which would surely be enough extra to keep him. -

It’s not the general public they would be concerned about, it’s their fellow successful business friends and associates. They are the ones who they don’t want to lose face with. They won’t want to be seen as failures. -

Yes, supposedly his best attribute, so what else can he contribute as he is so small and lightweight. I was so looking forward to him playing, but so far has been a bitter disappointment. I hope that he can improve with more game time, likewise Khadra, but for me Poveda doesn’t look like a player to me, but I hope he proves me wrong. -

Whoever recommended the three loanees should be shot. It’s bad enough that it looks like money and loan spots wasted, but the worst of it is our academy players aren’t getting the chance. -

How bad is Poveda?!! Did he do anything right. I thought that he is supposed to be a fast tricky player. Useless. We had to bring useless loanees into the side when Butterworth and Edun would have been far better options. -

It seems to me that because of FFP the Venkies back the manager for two years and if it hasn’t been successful they have to cut things back to the bare necessities for a year before give it a go again. It’s not a lack of investment their hands are tied because of FFP. Next year with a new manager he will be allowed to go for it again. -

Why? He wasn’t good enough for PNE. Sure he got Norwich promoted but didn’t TM get Boro and West Brom promoted? Chris Wilder might be a better bet unless his tactics that got Sheffield Utd promoted but ultimately got found out, makes him a “busted flush”.
