  1. A work colleague is a Derby fan and he said that Bradley Johnson is a good signing, but Butterfield is really bad. He had good passing stats only because he passes sideways all the time. Although he did say he had a good shot on him. I hope that we avoid him like the plague!!
  2. He may be the one earmarked for the “premiership loan”?
  3. But didn’t he end up on their bench at the end of the season.
  4. Buckley has previously attracted premiership interest (as an investment) before he signed a new contract.
  5. Which Lowe are you referring to, please not the one it took us ages to get rid of?
  6. Well that rules out John Ruddy ha ha he’s not got any hair.
  7. Surely we can do better especially if we are able to pay a reasonable fee. John Ruddy would be my choice.
  8. Well based on the number of goals we conceded from headers last year and thereby threw away winning positions I think aerial dominance is a higher priority that the ability to play out from the back. If they are not confident with the ball at their feet all they need to do is give it to the midfielders to distribute. I would be very happy with Jake Cooper. Bradley Johnson is also supposed to be very good in the air as well, so that should also help.
  9. https://tbrfootball.com/newcastle-fans-want-karl-darlow-sold-amid-blackburn-interest/ These Newcastle fans don’t seem too bothered about Darlow going, they say HE is error prone.
  10. Thank you. I quite liked him too, he would certainly be good in the air, but some reviews of him have said that he is not technical enough and a bit basic.
  11. Sorry I must have missed this, who are you describing as he sounds brilliant?
  12. It’s not helping the youngsters if he keeps them from getting game time.
  13. I couldn’t disagree with you more. Lenighan is a better alround player than Cooper or Hanley. We are going to start playing it out from the back and through midfield, both Cooper and Hanley are of the “hoof it as far as you can” variety.
  14. With the brilliant chances we have had how are we not at least 3-0 up!!
  15. Very good summary which I agree with. My only concern is that he may keep with his favourites next season rather than upgrade because they make his job easy by managing the team for him. I think that he needs to be more “his own man” and take control.
  16. Hi thanks for you input and kind words. Do you know for sure if everything is agreed and done and dusted? Is it now just subject to a satisfactory medical?
  17. Good point. Let's hope so. We probably need to 2 strikers now given Samuel's injury.
  18. If Tony signs Jack Rodwell I hope that he has done “due diligence “ by talking to Chris Coleman and others as to his current attitude, fitness and ability rather than relying on what he was like in his “glory” days.
  19. I don’t think that we will pay more than £5-6M for Brereton. The total with addons May be £8-9M but I suspect the addons will be promotion and senior England appearances based I.e. possible future costs not this season. It is still a bit of a gamble, if we signed him but he will give us NOW speed, skill and no little bullying of the defenders. He is out wide because he runs the channels and stretches the defenders with his speed and power. This would leave space for Dack and Armstrong to exploit. With the players we have he will only get better. Being able to bring on Graham late in a game is a hell of an option to have available. I also think that we will sign Chapman and then we would have a team that could frighten the living daylights out of most teams in this division.
  20. Hi are we still interested in Maddison?
  21. He cost city £12M!!
  22. To say he is only 19 now he was used a lot last year. It is only because of the new experienced strikers they have now that are keeping him out of the starting line up.
