  1. I got my first look at Raya in a live game in December of last year and felt straight away that he lacked physical presence. In an era when we are used to giants between the sticks Raya didn't exactly fill the goal. That said, I saw him pull off some spectacular saves and he's clearly an athlete with sharp reflexes. His rashness and occasional poor decision making however meant that he wasn't really my cup of tea to be honest. I like keepers that aren't necessarily worldies but make regulation saves, catch crosses and keep mistakes to a minimum. I don't think that's Raya. It seems that he lost Mowbray's confidence and the writing was on the wall although I think he should be cut some slack re his dip in form as I reckon that bang in the mush at West Brom rattled him (understandably). Now that he's gone I'm sure he'll be lionised by some and portrayed as a martyr of the Mowbray regime. Never the less I wish him well and hope he gets a warm welcome back to Ewood on his return with his new club.
  2. Too early for an any kind of assessment imo. I'm not overly enamoured with either signing so far. A big, nasty centre back that likes heading the ball and a boringly steady keeper will make me change my mind.
  3. I'd be delighted and shocked if we signed Fraser Foster. I just don't see us stumping the transfer fee, the wages or him wanting to join Rovers.
  4. Top right, 'Ignored Users', enter selection with fluid. One administration will sooth the source of irritation. Please see your own Doctor if the urge to be a miserable **** persists.
  5. This from the bloke who was posting Preston fan's twitter reaction's to the Bauer signing ?
  6. Admittedly, you have an advantage on me having seen more of him. I saw him come on against Norwich and he looked bereft of confidence and I felt that the manager was at fault for that. I saw the West Brom game where he came on and gave a very interesting cameo. There was a point where he got the ball midway inside the West Brom half facing the Riverside. A quick change of feet and a burst of pace took him away from two Baggies players and he played a nice ball out to the right wing. He was generally much better in that game and I felt that he might have something but he needed managing. His goal against Bolton would suggest that he can finish, his lack of confidence might explain him looking lazy and I'm surprised that you think he has no pace.
  7. And that would seem to be an early age to be written off as "not good enough".
  8. Don't start that fight. There's been 6 banned already today.
  9. Who knows. If we're lucky he might come back from his next visit t'Spar with some Rizlas, a Warby's toastie, a pint of full fat and a centre back from the marked down bit under the pies and pasties.
  10. Having waded through the chaff I think some of the more moderate cynics on here may have a point and it seems fair to assume that TM is shopping in Wilkos.
  11. I'm not trolling, just pointing out repetition. Don't be so sensitive and faux outragey.
  12. I'm generally not too much bothered about strips but it is weird how Rovers are always behind everyone else with new shirts, even in the halcyon days of the 90s. I'll stick with my Toffs 1975 replica. That Brentford one is very good btw. The less the more.
  13. I think I might be one of the few that wouldn't mind too much if you were proved correct.
  14. I've only seen Dack around the Christmas / New Year period and he didn't look all that. Apparently he was having a dip in form at the time and he looked a little heavy and not quick enough for the Premier League. My mates, who are season ticket holders, tell me he's special and his goal against West Brom suggested that he might be but I'd be very surprised if the likes of West Ham or Palace would be prepared to stump up anything north of 12m.
  15. Whatever. If this post is code for you rowing back your call for censorship then it's all good. Well done.
