Oops it was 7.30 am in Pennsylvania and my brain had not booted up spellcheck without coffee.

Ipswich were a play off chasing club not so long back. They would pray for such going nowhere. Does anyone truly believe that pushing for a play off place and getting promotion would have been a good thing? I am not saying that I am happy with this run of results or even some of the line ups. I am happy with consolidating and blooding some youngsters before season end. Dack will go and we will rebuild. And hopefully we will go back to our usual colors.

He has money in the bank already by not spending January. Not sure Bauer is the answer at Centre back. We need someone who has been around the block in the championship at least.

And to think we were runners up to Wigan last term. We kicked on. They did not.

I really don’t get why Downing was allowed to leave. He isn’t top notch but he is an orthodox talk centre half who did a reasonable job when he was asked to. I can’t believe that he would do a worse job at the moment.

Rotherham, Wigan and Ipswich would love to feel that apathy.
