  1. Oops it was 7.30 am in Pennsylvania and my brain had not booted up spellcheck without coffee.
  2. Ipswich were a play off chasing club not so long back. They would pray for such going nowhere. Does anyone truly believe that pushing for a play off place and getting promotion would have been a good thing? I am not saying that I am happy with this run of results or even some of the line ups. I am happy with consolidating and blooding some youngsters before season end. Dack will go and we will rebuild. And hopefully we will go back to our usual colors.
  3. He has money in the bank already by not spending January. Not sure Bauer is the answer at Centre back. We need someone who has been around the block in the championship at least.
  4. And to think we were runners up to Wigan last term. We kicked on. They did not.
  5. Strange that Nyambe had been left out in the cold for such a long period. Glad he is back in the groove.
  6. This is a good read https://www.wigantoday.net/sport/football/latics/blackburn-rovers-3-wigan-athletic-0-1-9646178
  7. Great win after predictions of a 4-1 defeat on here. Anyone else superstitious on here? I lost a Rovers cotton bracelet that my neighbor’s kid made for me. Six weeks ago. She made a new one for me. Sunday.
  8. Hopefully Mowbray will recall Downing and as always when asked to step in, he will do a sterling job. And everyone will wonder why he was allowed to be loaned out in the first place.
  9. We have short memories. We were cackling ourselves with delight when Newcastle gave us money for him.
  10. I agree. Poor run but let’s put things into perspective especially as dodgy owners are concerned. Hope this is not firewalled https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/crisis-club-bolton-wanderers-close-training-ground-to-players-and-staff-65d6zjl0h?shareToken=96193e2a1aa7a56b948daac64721da14
  11. What like Bristol Rovers????
  12. I really don’t get why Downing was allowed to leave. He isn’t top notch but he is an orthodox talk centre half who did a reasonable job when he was asked to. I can’t believe that he would do a worse job at the moment.
  13. Rotherham, Wigan and Ipswich would love to feel that apathy.
  14. Sending a signal. You are all on for 45 minutes. Give it all you got. High risk but nowt to lose.
  15. Funny how in the space of a month or so some of our so called fringe players have become “hot property.”
  16. Tell that to Ipswich!!!
  17. If there is any silver lining it is the humorous pieces that have come out after the cup tie. Here is one from Toon. There is also a terrific piece in the Times which may be firewalled. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/business/business-opinion/watching-brexit-britain-newcastle-united-15694473 https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/destination-dismay-chasing-a-curse-with-newcastle-fans-in-the-fa-cup-d6q6zx9rx?utm_source=Unica&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=james_Bulletin Experiment_fixed_timing_model_STM_1Imag_TS
  18. “Alan is Town's sixth signing in the January window and will wear the number 31 shirt.” Lambert is sorting out the calamity of his predecessor. Plenty of new players wanting to prove themselves including Alan Judge.
  19. Thank you for the insight. I reflect therefore I am. RTID and beyond.
  20. Interesting comment from Judge after joining Ipswich. https://www.eadt.co.uk/sport/town-fans-react-to-judge-signing-1-5851989
  21. Two moments of magic in a dull game at a dodgy place. Travis’s passing and energy level. Lenihan strong at the back. Nuttall “scored” and put it about. Great finish by Armstrong. Three away points.
  22. Pretty exciting. We wanted a shake up. Here we go. A chance for plenty of folks to shine. Whether we get tonked or not it is a bold move. Cautious it is isn’t.
