  1. I'm sure the work permit was a face saving gentlemans deal to avoid him playing tomorrow http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/opinion/columnists/robbie-savage/Robbie-Savage-column-Laid-back-Benni-McCarthy-called-me-the-worst-player-ever-but-he-could-be-window-s-best-signing-plus-no-surprise-to-see-Karren-Brady-wanting-to-rename-West-Ham-article304297.html Love the prozone story
  2. Fingers crossed the medical doesn't include a body mass index calculation
  3. Agreed. Hopefully Sam has plan A B and C lined up which will probably bring Beattie back. He has as much incentive to kick start his career as Benni. Home town boy like Dunn coming home. It's as good as it gets unless Eidur is going to come in on loads of wonga which I doubt. I really hope Benni the Belly doesn't play against us on Saturday. I am not sure I could stand itif he scores.
  4. The deal is done mentally, ship him out on our terms,do the same with Pedersen and Roberts, like it or not Beattie is waiting in the wings having turned down a few offers. He may not wait too long with Fulham in the hunt. Sam has others to cover or half of Europe's loaners on standby. out with the old in with the new and then let's see how Sams team stands up.
  5. Perhaps Benni needs to go in order to get the critical acclaim from the fans that he richly deserves. A similar situation to his fellow countryman down on the south coast. chrisF #1 04 Dec 2009 23:34 Buckie Thistle in for Mokoena ... 6. Sam does have a way with words. "At his age I'd understand if he wants to play first-team football and at the moment he can't get it here. " http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/b/blackburn_rovers/8340599.stm Hardly Mr Motivator. Any aspirations we had of being a quality football team is going down the tubes. Sparky had us playing good football in the end but nobody with any aspiration of passing the ball along the ground is going to want to come to us in January.
  7. Extremely disappointed. Benni knows the Premiership, is a proven goalscorer is a flair player and God knows we need them. Sometimes you need to have "goal hangers" to get the job done. He goes and Di Santo goes and we are left with a meat and two veg line up that is predictable as it is one dimensional.
  8. Sounds like a very sensible suggestion to me. However in the best interests of your health I would not hold your breath. The concept of Sam saying "Perhaps I ought to reconsider my strategic options in light of 10 away defeats and few goal scoring opportunities" is as unlikely as rocking horse poo.
  9. Rangers midfielder Pedro Mendes is confident that Ferguson would be a success in his second spell down south. "He is a very good player and I don't think he would have any problems," the former Portsmouth player said "Quality players can adapt themselves pretty well and Barry is a quality player so I don't think he would have any problems adapting himself to the Premier League." Obviously not a quality Player based on previous experience, although there may be a greater choice of late night hostelries in Birmingham which should make him feel at home this time around
  10. Agreed. A very solid central defender, solid professional and never moaned when played out of position or put on the bench. Crucial goals as well. Good luck back home and thanks for your commitment to, and passion for the club.
  11. Comments he is supposed to have made about Dowie and Shearer. So he is not totally daft then ;-) http://www.blackburn.vitalfootball.co.uk/a...le.asp?a=153712
  12. Maybe after Blacknburn http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/football/arti...p;in_page_id=43
