  1. At any moment any club owner can do that and it’s curtains. Many cut their losses fairly quickly, acknowledge that football is not their core competence and leave their club in the Tom tit. Thats all all I am saying.
  2. Let’s take a moment to acknowledge the dire plight of two neighbors due to awful ownership that could put put them out of business imminently. Let’s recognize that for all the false starts and bad decisions more from naivety that anything else, our owners have stayed the course and given our manager money to spend. We can dream of 1995 but time is now and I am happy that we are building something here not having it destroyed in front of our very eyes with lifelong fans chained to the railings outside.
  3. I am in a glorious time warp. Watched Rovers on TV win at Hull followed by a tremendous John Mayall concert and Ten Years After tomorrow night. Glad Rovers have “room to move”
  4. Assuming a no play clause for Cunningham against Cardiff?
  5. There is no time for bedding in these days. Lose two games and back to tried and tested. Eventually Graham will not be an option. That’s when we shall see whether the investments are just that.
  6. Maybe that’s the long term strategy with Brereton
  7. Before we all get too depressed you might want to see the results tonight. Huddersfield, Boris, Brentford etc
  8. I think most fans are unhappy. We come back from our hold with high expectations and our dreams are shattered. Because that’s what they are. Meanwhile someone may have to eat “Peter Frampton” if this doesn’t go through. https://www.wigantoday.net/sport/football/wigan-athletic-leave-it-late-for-charlie-mulgrew-1-9925339
  9. Hmm. Not sure if his fitness or motivation. He Will get the same can’t guarantee you a place speech and probably less money
  10. Good options up front. More mobile options in defence. Experienced midfield general with good talent around him. We don’t know what we don’t know. We didn’t sell Sessignon so Fulham had more money for Reed. I wouldn’t be surprised if Mulgrew and Mowbray had a Lampard and Luiz moment and Mowbray cut his losses on a big wage earner. Time for the youngsters to shine.
  11. Pure Shakespeare. The metaphor doth do you proud my liege.
  12. Loadsa options. Bell or Smallwood can play Centre half. Williams or Nyambe can play centre half. Plus the kids. Embarrassment of riches.
  13. I wonder where Scott Dann goes now Palace have Cahill. Unless I have missed something.
  14. Not pretty. First of the season. Home defeat 2 goals conceded. Silver lining? Better to see the deficiencies now rather than 10 games in. Problem is when Bristol City defender gets sold for 20 million you are not going to get defenders on the cheap now. Oh and everyone is looking for defenders Mowbray is building a team for the future. His biggest problem. When does he push the button?
  15. A leopard doesn’t change spots. Let’s see how he does this season with the team he relegated. We assumed that we would be promoted. So did Sunderland. I think we underestimate how tough it is/was.
  16. Someone else will be looking for a defender in this league. And they will have money for Gallagher if they want it. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/48947281
  17. It’s all happening now we have blazed past 333. Mulgrew to Hibernian? Hanley turns down a loan? Raya off. Defence sorted. We will play with 8 midfielders. Smallwood in goal.
  18. So let’s go totally off topic and watch Graham Gooch magic innings of 333 while we wait for some news.
  19. Some good goals. The women are showing that accurate crosses to a target person still works. Who knew? ?
  20. Apologies if I am repeating old stuff but I did go back a few pages to check. If we can get 18. Million for Dack soon I would take it. He is done a great job for us but like the stock market and houses sell high and buy low. We then have a real chance to buy three players who could make a difference in key positions. My fear is that if we don’t let him go he will get all unnecessary which will affect his form. One mans opinion. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/they-have-to-let-him-go-blackburn-face-decision-over-in-demand-star-opinion/
  21. I think the boss likes bringing in senior players who can do a lob and coach the youngsters. Graham has been a good role model for Brereton. Downing would be good for Chapman and Whelan for the young midfielders. Just a thought. ?
  22. Transfer links only, 1 page 14 replies. Summer transfer window 164 pages 4K replies. ?
