  1. Agree. Main reason is that none of them are wingers.
  2. I guess it was a choice of either Salgado or Venkys valuable advisors. Tough call. http://www.deadlinenews.co.uk/2020/07/17/scottish-coach-recalls-being-ordered-to-axe-real-madrid-and-spain-legend-michel-salgado/
  3. Apologies if this has already been posted. I didn’t see it on the thread.
  4. I wonder what the double odds of winning today and getting promoted are. Asking for a friend.
  5. If we are in the top tier next season, it will be a very different set of replacements listed on the A4 lined pad.
  6. Football not as we know it but I’m luvin it. Bring back CIS sponsorship. Clearly a lucky shirt.
  7. Still very proud. Wearing my McEwans top today. I remember storming out after that late Liverpool goal only for my wife to call me back to say that I am missing the celebrations. it was worth buying Andy Cole just to thank him for all his misses at West Ham.
  8. No wonder he doesn’t want to give back 30% of his pay. Looks like that party would have been an expensive one.
  9. Interesting comments on Brereton. Pretty honest as usual. I still believe in the lad and he is striker-in-waiting. It would have been special if he had been allowed to take the penalty and scored. Probably three ahead of him in the pecking order. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2020/february/braver-brereton-so-beneficial/
  10. Parallel universe. Trying to relive it on the BBC site. ? Relive Blackburn's win at Brentford as it happened
  11. Well you can’t whack that for an objective assessment of the game and the manager. #RoversProud https://www.cafc.co.uk/news/view/5e482eb95f098/bowyer-blackburn-came-here-and-did-a-good-job-on-us
  12. Love reading the early part of the thread to the end and watching the swingometer of sentiment veer so wildly that even Peter Snow would struggle to keep up 1) We won 3-0 2) The forgotten men put in a good performance and one scored 3) In spite of it ALL we are three points off the play off spots. Meanwhile my brother watched his team fumble their way to a 0-0 draw against AFC Wimbledon. The promotion certs led by the genius of a manager who thought he was too good for this place may not even get them in the play offs. Never mind, he has a five year contract. ? I am very happy where we are in the League and the spirit that the team young and old are showing in spite of our injuries.
  13. If Graham is done after this season and we are perhaps done for the season it’s time to give game time in the right positions to Brereton and Gallagher. It may not be pretty but they need to show if they really do have it. Play Brereton at 10 and Gallagher up front with Armstrong on the right.
  14. If we are feeling sorry for ourselves check out the last minute transfer wastes of money on TalkSPORT. Benjani to Man City from Portsmouth to Man City is a classic. I think it is on YouTube.
  15. TBH I think the comment wS tongue in cheek if you read the context. Some of the best negotiators deliberately give the impression they are not very good negotiators. Truth is everyone in our league and much of the premier league is looking for the same thing. A player with enormous potential for a bargain basement price in a very competitive window. some of the prices clubs have played for players who have been complete flops is extraordinary. Look no further than Man United or West Ham to name a couple. Thete is no magic formula. Even the big money merchants with skilled negotiators screw up. I will take just outside the play off places with maybe a loan defender for cover to see us through the season.
  16. The Ifollow coverage was awful end of the first half. Hope Rovers are going to make the same gesture. AS a gesture of goodwill, the club will be offering refunds to supporters who saw their QPR+ live stream coverage of QPR v Blackburn interrupted on Tuesday night. A technical fault, which was out of control of the club, resulted in the main camera being unavailable towards the end of the first half and at the beginning of the second half. This also impacted the audio. The club would therefore like to offer refunds to seasonal and monthly QPR+ live video subscribers who were watching the game, as well as fans who purchased a Blackburn match pass.
  17. Nice one. I was feeling for the fans. I was plenty warm from my cell phone microwaves ??
  18. Good result. Dire second half. I Follow had some weird camera angles and dodgy sound but 3 points on a cold Tuesday night is worth having. It is frustrating. 5 goals away from home followed by a long lay off and a chill out in Portugal dulls the senses. I would have thought that a few Pennine runs and a bonding session in the local pub would have kept us sharper. We didn’t have the killer touch but still held on thankfully. Travis needs to calm down in injury time. He gave the ball away three times in quick succession which could have cost us the points.
  19. If you think that our “Tone” is the only manager to make some odd decisions, this stream is worth a read. There are odd decisions and gambles all over our League. Some work, some don’t. https://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Football/Championship Most if you, probably all of you have more experience of watching Brereton than I do. I am probably the only person who believes that there is a footballer in there waiting to gain his confidence. Something that a run of games, like Armstrong, will hopefully cure. As I mentioned before, my Forest mate loved watching him play. I just hope we haven’t sucked the lifeblood out of him before he begins to show his potential.
  20. Looks like Sam Hart is in for some excitement from Rovers u23 and loans to a trip to Anfield.
  21. And of course we have lost in the past to ten men. Teams usually kick it up a notch. Not today.
  22. Let’s be honest if you are looking at this result with no Dack and Graham, goals for Holtby and Gallagher, 5-0 away from home against a play off team. It feels like unexpected sex.????
  23. My uneducated guess is that he is looking after his own personal brand. He is not getting into a team with 23 points and looking at a relegation dogfight v mid table relatively solid position with our injury prone defenders. He has a better chance to maintain his value with us. He also recognizes we need goals which he can do. Maybe he pulled a strop with Mowbray early in the season and lost the argument. Whatever it is, if he is fit and protected from errors he could be an asset in the second half of the season.
  24. Phil Jones on loan might be in our price range after tonight. ?
