  1. It would be rather nice to have Dyche in place when we play Burnley. 🤔😉
  2. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/May_you_live_in_interesting_times
  3. I agree with the logic. As I mentioned before, Mowbray “did a Warburton” to flesh out the situation. Never a good move to make bosses lose face. In my view, if he had played a straight bat and waited for “the owners” to pot him, he might have garnered even more sympathy/respect. It’s a shame. He deserved a better send off for righting a sinking ship and bringing in players of value. Most managers make daft player selections in fans eyes. He was not an exception. His crime is that he is seen as a trifle dull. The truth is most high energy managers crash and burn after a while and cost the club a fortune. Our most successful manager was one of the quietest. I wish you well Tony.
  4. I understand the logic and we could with a bit of passion but I have become rather wary of people who appear to be good blokes, enthusiastic, and have an alternative hairstyle. 🤔
  5. To provide a bit of context. 44.000 fans watched two teams a division below us fight for the right to join us. There are some big clubs in the Third Division. Perhaps we should be thankful for small mercies.
  6. I have supported Rovers since 1963. If Keane got the job I would be shattered. A horrible manager who single handedly shafted Ipswich. No thank you.
  7. We are not alone with our financial concerns. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61317194
  8. I have sympathy with this sentiment. The problem is that stability can breed complacency and caution. Tony Mowbray took the long term view which was admirable, but what was needed was a full on, pedal to the metal short term strategy in January to boost our strike force and provide quality competition to get us over the line.
  9. If you want to know what happens to a team when they fire a trusted devoted “football man” look at Burnley. Change is as good as a rest. And we have been resting. 😳
  10. I think that Mowbray is “doing a Warburton” to flesh out the owners and highlight to all suitors that he is not tarnished goods. Unfortunately for Warburton and his spin masters, it is a case of be careful what you wish for. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61263745
  11. Hopefully he will want to boost his free transfer value with a belter of a game against his suitors.
  12. He was bought as a striker. It got complicated when Armstrong started scoring for fun and Diaz came good.
  13. I am surprised they are not playing with a passion, if only for themselves. They are in the shop window. I guess not getting injured before vacation, and a new club plus payday is the priority.
  14. 🕺🕺🕺⚽️⚽️⚽️ Stranger things happen at sea. 🚢
  15. I am warming to the concept of Dyche getting us promoted next year.
  16. There is a manager available down the road. 🤔
  17. Fake video. No sideways passing on view. 😉
  18. Incy would love to do us. For old times sake and to get them out of the poo. He has been bigging it up saying it was “My Team” at Bournemouth and saying they should have had three points. We will need to watch the cards for this game as they will be cruising for a bruising.
  19. I’ll just take the positives and move on. We need to. Reading have woken up and gave Bournemouth a run for their money last night. We will need to be on our game. Dack back gives us options and Gallagher will feel good after that goal as will Giles. That is what he was brought here for. Let’s hope we can keep getting points on the board and have a good run in when Diaz comes back in April. This season will seem like an eternity.
  20. Some solid individual performances. Dolan and Khadra with some sublime stuff and Dolan spared our blushes. Wharton had Carroll well sorted and Nyambe put in a shift.
  21. I’m forecasting a positive result. My new away top is staying on the shelf not to jinx anything.
  22. Yup. Definitely the old sponsors logo has put the voodoo on my shirts. I think this is is where we will see who is up for the fight or not. if we don’t make the playoffs then half the team and the manager will be exit stage right at the end of the season. Total reset.
  23. My brand new away shirt has been singularly unlucky. I an hoping that my brand new home shirt fares better today. Otherwise it is shopping trips only for both of them. Maybe it’s the Recoverite logo 🤔
  24. Every game against the top teams is a cup tie. Every game against lower teams is a potential banana skin. Every game against the bottom three is a cup tie. No more 🍌 if we are aiming for the top. We need Dack back to create a bit of magic in these games Lets hope that Bournemouth struggle to integrate all their players.
