  1. I guess this is a transfer of sorts. I think I manifested this talking to my brother who is a Town supporter a week ago. Apologies if there is another thread, I only see the headline topics on my browser these days. https://the72.co.uk/257365/ipswich-town-keen-on-blackburn-rovers-boss-tony-mowbray/
  2. Horrible manager. Trashed all of the existing team replaced the lot and then drew with Barrow. Ipswich have consistently created very talented youngsters. Roy Keane started the rot and then the three “appauling “managers. Paul Jewell,Lambert and Cook who was appointed before the takeover. “Cooks biggest winning run was 2 matches. He managed that once in 44 games.” The US millionaire owners will probably get it right this time.
  3. You can have Paul Cook if you like. Another apparently desirable option for us who has done worse for Ipswich than Lambert, if that was humanly possible. It was.
  4. I’m Lovin it. I am debating changing my name to Barista Diaz so I can make a better cup of coffee. 🤔☕️
  5. I feel confident. I know we are a scalp but we have the players on form. Dolan would love a few goals. Diaz needs a goal or two to justify his tattoo on that guys stomach. I know we have had false dawns but this feels different. I will take fourth in December when so many big clubs are faltering. Including my mate’s beloved Wednesday.
  6. There was an interesting article in the paper about Sheffield United. Jokanovic the fifth championship manager to be fired in the last 70 days including some of those touted as replacements for Mowbray. United have banked two years of Premier League parachute payments and up to 38 million quid for Ramsdale Yet the manager was only allowed to recruit loan signings and free transfers in the last two windows Mowbray has been given a pretty free hand in the market and Venkys have hung on in there for ten years in spite of their mistakes. We are fourth, and I for one thank Mowbray and Venkys for that, as well as our young, hungry and motivated team. There have been false dawns before, but I will take that emotional risk. I have carried my heart on my sleeve for almost sixty years for Rovers. That’s Football.
  7. Especially the last six of the season. 18 points would come in handy.
  8. Lancs Live thought he did well https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/blackburn-rovers-player-ratings-derby-22018226
  9. Nothing like sending Brereton Diaz off to Chile brimming with confidence. “He didn't first-half, did he? Let's be honest, he wasn't very good in the first-half," exclaimed the Rovers boss.” True, but not great timing. He will get tapped when he is away i am sure.
  10. Well looks like the big managers who were deemed worthy replacements fir Mowbray have fallen by the wayside. Hughton, Pearson, McCarthy and Paul “you are all out”Cook who is single handedly destroying Ipswich after only 8 games with a hand picked new eleven.
  11. Or that genius tactician Paul Cook about to take Ipswich down again.
  12. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/a-star-has-been-born-many-blackburn-rovers-fans-react-to-22-year-olds-display-v-hull-city/ just saying🤔
  13. Pretty interesting the discrepancy between views on Diaz last night. Many on here thought he was crap. The Twitter sphere is hailing the new messiah.
  14. It could have been worse. We could have had Christian Walton in goal. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/58444671
  15. If there is any silver lining, it is that the new recruits should get a shot without anyone throwing their rattles out of the pram.
  16. I love what Ajax are doing. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58281752 Who should our tribute shirt be dedicated to? Perhaps the Beatles, with 4000 holes all over it?
  17. I agree on the big If but Football is a game of confidence. If we get a beat going who knows. Rational change of opinion. I am keeping that one in my pocket mokeskine notebook 😉
  18. All about the money. We may have agreed a deal but so may other clubs. It’s the player and his agent doing the shopping around. Can’t blame Mowbray for that. By the way, all of you wishing for Chris Hughton and Paul Cook to take over from Mowbray, take a bow. We are all fickle as rhymes with muck. If we build a settled team and are in the same position in the league that we are now come April, he will be turned from an idiot into a hero to paraphrase David Coleman.
  19. I think the key to getting the lads signed up will be whether they regularly feature in their favoured position and feel valued. If they get bounced in and out of thevteam because of a young loanee that has to play because the big clubs say so, then they will look at other options. The best way to keep them all. Get promoted.
  20. Maybe i am being too simplistic ( perfectly possible) but Gallagher is a big lad, who heads a ball. Put him in the middle. Dolan is a tricky little lad. Put him on the wing.
  21. Probably the best quote from an incoming loanee. Can’t wait for this lad. “This was the only club where I really wanted to come when I knew I had the chance to go out on loan," he said. "I grew up not far from here, I used to go to the games from when I was two until I was about 16 and I also played here when I was younger, so I've always supported the club and it feels good to be here. "I've got a chance this season to prove myself and to be able to do that in front of the Rovers fans, at this club, is the best outcome I could have had."
  22. Only two pages and another transfer wicket falls. This one looks promising.
