That should never take off either.

In all fairness to Tony, we really are going to have to!! Sorry BB, couldn't resist!

My thoughts entirely. Seems a good guy. My bullshitometer isn't going off by merely looking at him so that's an improvement anyway. We shall see. Massive 12 days coming up. It should have been before the Norwich game.

That's pretty much where I'm at. "Worst owners in the country". Clueless, unable to make a decision, no money for players, little to no interest. As many others have said though, just who were we / was I expecting? All the best to him, he surely can't be any worse than the last one can he. It would take some doing.

Rovers' mouth piece - the LT
bob fleming replied to Wing Wizard Windy Miller's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
That might be true or false, there's no denying that. It could be argued either way depending on your stance or indeed how you are sat whilst making a point you probably agree with at that very moment in time. But tomorrow? It's difficult. What is undeniably true though is that our relegation from the premier league was obviously largely down to indecision from Steve Kean on the colour, and indeed type of collar, on the Rovers third team shirt. The fact that Kean was alienating, freezing out and indeed selling or paying off experienced Premier League players and replacing them with the likes of his Agents son Myles Anderson is neither here nor there. Oh no. The third choice shirt which we may well have worn four or five times that season perhaps was the real problem. The guy went to hell and back. Planes were nose diving in his face, a supporter was seen on television shouting in his direction as we lost yet another home game. Charlie Nicholas and Paul Merson were visibly arsed, and yet all poor Steve could see was shirt patterns. Like a broken Vietnam vet it was a relief when he eventually pulled himself off and away from his own personal hell. That historic Friday he resigned and checked himself into the Priory with nothing more than a colouring pad, some crayons, dog biscuits and a massive cheque. Fortunately his agent managed to get him a job in a tax haven where they don't have to worry about third kits.- 256 replies

http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/15068680._I_got_pulled_into_things_that_I_probably_wasn_t_qualified_to_be_talking_about____former_boss_Steve_Kean_on_his_time_as_Blackburn_Rovers_boss/ "I got pulled into things that I probably wasn't qualified to be talking about." - yes, that's right, like anything to do with football management. I was only saying last night, do you know what we need right now? With us being second bottom in the league, with no sign of Coyle getting the sack, with a bloke with a stocking on his head talking out of his arse in the media - do you know what the LT should do? Run a feature on Steve Kean. That'll be just the job that. Apologies for the link by the way. I really wouldn't bother. -

Excellent work DE. If I may... Dixon Etuhu Rovers pulled out the stops for Etuhu in August 2012. Signing him on a monster 4 year contract from Fulham. The fee, as is often the case, was undisclosed. This is probably a good idea as at least one, if not both parties may struggle to keep a straight face during the press conference. Etuhu managed 23 games in two years, including one of the worst performances I have ever seen from a Rovers player away at Blackpool. Unfortunately things didn't work out and Rovers had to pay up his contract in July 2014 in order to increase the debt and get another no hoper in. Danny Murphy Despite having had a leg off whilst at Fulham, Rovers saw fit to hand a no doubt lucrative thank you very much two year contract to Murphy in June 2012. Murphy astonishingly, according to Wiki, played 33 times that season including one of the worst performances I have ever seen from a Rovers player at home to then bottom of the table Peterborough (Rovers were 3-0 down at half time, when he was subbed. Rovers won the second half 2-0 so took the positives and moved on). Unfortunately for everyone concerned this inability to move and tackle really did turn out to be a problem and Rovers had no option but to pay up the remaining year on Murphy's contract in June 2013. This really was a bad bit of luck. Murphy is now a "top football pundit" on the tele and radio, he talks of passion and desire without even a suspicion of irony. Bradley Orr Rovers were lucky and shrewd enough to be able to sign Bradley Orr in January 2012 on a 3.5 year contract. Orr wasn't getting a game at QPR at the time so it was important that Rovers offered such a long term contract to him along with big wages just in case we were relegated and in order to get Orr through the door (the Orr door). Orr wasn't very good. He thought Steve Kean was doing a good job and said so post match just after Rovers were relegated. It all continued to go sour and Orr was sent on loan to Ipswich, Blackpool and Toronto. Canny Rovers decided they couldn't wait any longer for another club to come in with a big money move for Bradley so paid up his contract in March 2015 after Orr had made 31 appearances for the club - including, if I may, one of the worst performances I have ever seen from a Rovers player at home to then bottom of the table Peterborough (Rovers were 3-0 down at half time, before he was subbed). Having scrimped and saved over the previous couple of years, Bradley promptly retired from football. "That Midfielder" That midfielder who no one can remember his name, has been bought circa 17 times over the last 6 years, generally for two much money and certainly for too much in wages. Although exact numbers aren't available due to the similarity and utter blandness of this type of player. An example of "just another body making up the numbers" would be Liam Feeney. Feeney joined Rovers in 2014 on loan and according to the internet played 6 times, scoring zero goals. Unfortunately no one can remember anything about these performances such was the brain numbing mediocrity on show, which in all fairness wasn't all his fault. Feeney duly left Rovers at some stage or other and has never been seen again. -

Well more fool them mate, got to rise above all that. Let's hope you have that problem soon. As a good man occasionally says on here "WE are the Rovers". And Nothing Else Matters. -

You know mate, we come on here, day in day out. It's a right habit. We love our club. I was in the verge of packing it in recently, not going, but coming on here. So I took a step back for a couple of weeks. Crap like "if you're not part of the solution you're part of the problem" from a bloke who's "boycotting" yet lives in Hampshire and wouldn't know where The Albion used to be if he was stood outside it makes me feel embarrassed to be part of this community. We're all hurting. Fans are taking what they believe is the best course of action. I'm still going, your not. I reckon it's hurting you like hell, I have upmost respect for you and the decision you've made, I really have. I don't believe it'll make the slightest difference. I'm not trying to be disparaging in any way whatsoever. As has been pointed out, people will do what they think is morally correct. But when we pick up £1.25m from the Rochina sell alone and that covers the missing fans losses. Well, I can't and don't believe it'll make a difference. I long for the day when this is over, when we can start again. The silence, the lack of a plan, the lack of a long term strategy or even a suspicion of a desire to return to the Premier League (and surely the easiest, most pragmatic, way of recouping "their" losses) says it all. I don't believe we matter. I don't believe the financial losses hurt them. I don't think they would give two hoots if there was 30,000 on or 57 people and a dog. It's just another company they own. The other 50 odd they run have it covered. "What? Spend more money on that football thing? After the snowball? I don't think so. Just minimise the losses for a few years please. Appoint an accountant or something. Put some lip stick on it, make it look good and we'll have a think about selling it for £150 million. Is that too much? Come back and tell me about it at the end of January just before that transfer window thing starts. Next..." -

Not even nearly the best band to come from L.A. ! As for Ozzy being God, I think you'll find that's Lemmy. As for The Roses, I kind of didn't want to go. Saw them twice, first time at Preston Guild Hall Foyer. Unbelievable. An epithany. I was into all manner of Metal until that point, including Motley Crue and Bon Jovi. If all changed after that. 5 foot from Squire in a small venue. I knew none of the songs before hand. I am the Resurrection, the very essence of everything that's brilliant about music. The next time was at the famous Empress Ballroom gig, the one that became a video. Again what a night, more of an event than a gig, with people going mad to the likes of Sympathy for the Devil long before the band came on. Era defining stuff. And I haven't seen them since! On purpose. Beautiful Thing is great. So it's New Order 2 weeks tomorrow at Castlefield Bowl. Which'll be great. James playing Out to Get You on BBC4 from Glastonbury as I type. What a great song. Not heard it in years!

Yep, made up with this. Proper centre forward.

And tears are always clouding your thighs -
Blimey, you're not wrong. I wouldn't mind but I was there! The longest 2nd half ever. They had a clock at the other end of the ground and I swear it was going backwards at one point. I remember Garns scored but not them!
-
3-4 on aggregate that one. Bloody Dave Clark.
-
I might be completely wrong here but I don't think away goals have ever counted in the play offs. Anyone?
-
Feckin punks. Good work.

Not the start to the over we were looking for... Bloody hell

Well blimey! That was great! Superb. From a betting angle it all came together on that one. Not big bucks but never the less... Kane to score anytime. Germany to win - cashed out at 2 1. And immediately had a quid on England to draw... And then cashed out again to back England to win! 1.30 paid 7 quid + on that. Next week I'll tell you all about my losses...
