  1. Really? And what is the goal this season? What is the aim? If that were to be achieved, against the odds, then that would add considerable value to the club. It would also greatly enhance our chances of signing him. Plus making the club far more attractive to a buyer (this lot could do anything mind you) than merely selling a Dack or two. Anyway, it’s all a bit pie in the sky. He’s our player until the end of the season. Let’s hope he’s a good un.
  2. Indeed it would. Very true. It would also be nice to be owned by a multi billionaire. Archibald? Ardiles? They were on loan.
  3. Yeah, it’s been hell. What with the Full Members Cup win, the eventual promotion at Wembley, winning the league, the league cup win, those European trips, fa cup semi finals. It’s been bloody awful. Interspersed with a few relegations, these crappy owners, admittedly. But come on... in the scheme of things I reckon 80% or clubs would have swapped places with us. Sad ain’t it. If only there was an ignore function.
  4. It’s a beautiful thread. It really is. Well done everyone. It’s this stiff upper lip attitude that saw us promoted last season. Instead of worrying who we’re going to sign, any chance of thinking what we’ve got? You know, another year on, another year wiser, team effort? There was some good stuff played tonight. No panic here.
  5. What’s Chris Gregson’s handle on BRFCS? All that tweet was missing was some commentary about impending water rationing, food stockpiling, double hard bastard brexit, injuries to Graham, Mulgrew and Lenihan, Dack going awol with the entire cast of Love Island - all of which will leave us in the bottom three in April and to top it all off the Sun will then explode following 8 more months of constant sunshine - this will however bring a merciful end to a traumatic season. Venkys will still refuse to sell the club despite planet Earth no longer existing.
  6. Agreed. I think the correct term for that colour is “undercoat”.
  7. Garner would cost circa £45m. Chris Thompson £8m. Sean Curry £3m. Paul McKinnon? Literally priceless.
  8. As is Liam Livingstone Husky. Check out his twitter feed. What a finish to that match! Never in doubt!
  9. It leaves him nowhere. My fourth sentence in that post was sarcasm. England reached the semi finals in a World Cup for the first time in 28 years despite the Premier League, not because of it.
  10. I’m an optimist mate. I think I will be. i enjoyed this one. It went a bit ott after the Sweden match, but overall I think Southgate has been superb. This group of players, keep them together, keep the manager. They’re all young and learning. Team spirit goes a hell of a long way. Success breeds success. City bought Mahrez today by the way. That’ll be half a billion quid in two years he’s spent. I can’t wait to get back to the Premier League. It’ll be fantastic. Take the money out of it and it really is the best game in the world.
  11. Journalist disappears up his own arse. Bit in paper.
  12. Ah yes, no doubt aided by “shameful” “apologists”, aka “people fans”. And they say it’s Venkys who divide the fan base ?
  13. Great news. Thanks for this thread it’s been really special.
  14. So if I’ve got this right, there has been no increase whatsoever with the Blues Bar memberships. It’s exactly the same as it was last year? Asking for a friend, who’s obviously got “more money than sense” and “no shame”. I’ll point this out to him just before he punches me in the face.
  15. Ach, fair play there then fella. Apologies. You can see how I got that wrong though, I guess there was more for him to post about when the circus came to town and he turned into a cult.
  16. He joined this website shortly before they bought the club, when I say shortly I’m talking maybe 6 months before. Funny that. I thought, “that’s funny”.
  17. Yep. Funny how he turned up on here around about then. Everything engineered just to buy a little bit more time, to keep the illusion going. Fact is if “wee Stevie gem” hadn’t been so thick / antagonistic they’d have bled a bit more out over a longer period of time. Anyway, we digress, back to the hot topic of transfers.
  18. Rodwell / Nixon. Chortle, snigger etc https://rokerreport.sbnation.com/2018/6/29/17518378/surely-not-rumours-surrounding-the-future-of-sunderland-misfit-rodwell-surface-wheres-he-off All in the name of “drumming up interest”. For free. Good old Alan.
  19. One is good at attacking, the same one couldn’t defend to save his life. The other is a good fella who will always work hard for the team and has bags more experience of first team football. All things considered, you’re bang on. A tough choice.
  20. The only place that waster should be going is the back of the dole queue. The epitome of the sort of crap we’d be moving heaven and earth to sign 2 years ago.
