  1. Oh crap. I didn’t know that. Don’t get me wrong, I followed it on Twitter. Just presumed it was tactical ?
  2. No mention of that anywhere. Just resting him I’d have thought. It was in the bag after all. ???
  3. Well remembered that man! A bit of googling. Garns and Caldwell (v Walsall) both scored 5 on 10 Sept 83. Rush scored 5 v Luton October 83 - not on the same day as I thought. The play off games v Derby are easily in my top twenty of all time and the 4-2 win at Ewood right up there with the very best. What a game. 2 nil down early on. Here we go, blown it yet again. Speedie (2) Newell and Sellers saw them off. The atmosphere at the back of the BBE was crazy. The away leg was incredibly tense. Derby were a good team. Kevin Moran scoring with a typically brave header, the image never to be forgotten as he leapt above the Derby defence and time stood still as he seemed to hover up there for a couple of minutes before crashing the ball home.
  4. I always thought rush scored 5 that same day along with another player (I.e 3 of them) possibly that “guy from Bolton”.
  5. I tell you what’s on my tits though. Me nipples. i can’t keep my hands off them. My wrists. At this low point of the evening, I’ll get me coat. G’night.
  6. Ah. Ok. i liked this post. IMO he can be! As I can be an absolute knobhead. The daft thing about this messageboard is that most arguements / disagreements can be sorted out over a pint with a smile and a shrug of the shoulders. No real biggie. Easy to forget we’re all Rovers fans sometimes. Sorry Stuart.
  7. Could you start including the phrases “fake news” and “crooked Hilary” in your posts please JAL?
  8. Oh dear, stupid boy. In light of this I have to agree with Stuart, that picture now looks terrible. Whilst he may not have posted it on social media one of his friends has. And with friends like those... It may or may not have been taken this weekend but it's all in the timing of it's release and the perception. Time to grow up and get his priorities right.
  9. Listening to 30 mins or so this morning. I must say I thought the Bill Arthur piece was excellent.
  10. Not any more mate. Ruled out of today’s game last week, as you may have seen he was pictured in someone’s garden with a woman who appeared, and I do apologise, appeared to be dancing. This at a point in time unspecified. I know, the utter bastard. I expect the club are paying his contract up as we speak. Dack will be forced to flee the country, will be leaving for Brazil this evening, assuming a new identity (shave his beard off) and will never be heard of again. If he’s lucky. World in Action will no doubt track him down in a couple of years, and demand answers to just what went wrong that fateful night. I just hope we can all summon the courage to keep going after this news and today’s defeat. I read earlier in the other thread that another poster has not only smashed his keyboard up but has taken a bath. It really has been quite a day.
  11. Well you say that, but who plays on the Isle of Dogs. You’ve guessed it, Millwall. So it’s between us and Sheffield Wednesday then. This’ll be a pay as you play / shop window / nothing to pay before January / try and buy deal with the ball being totally in Millwall’s court if Boro can get their replacement in from Villa or Forest and even then they can pull out at any minute between now and some time in the future if Wednesday and Hull City aren’t happy, which they rarely are. My money is on Dusty Bin just after 5.
  12. Well at least we’ve got that quickly out of the way for another 50 years.
  13. Oh dear. I think we'll leave it there. Enjoy.
  14. May as well close this thread now. We've no more money to spend anyway. Oh and if I get that wrong then I'll just blame it on the last 8 years not the fact I'm talking out of my arse.
  15. Hey Tyrone don't worry about it, we all get things cataclysmically wrong occasionally. I'm sure you'll be pulling me up soon enough, possibly on my spelling of cataclysmically.
  16. Didn't it? Is that an Alan Nixon theory? The manager has said all summer that funds were available. In fact the club said that some funds were left over from the January transfer window. They are hardly likely to tell us the amount. Whilst no one thought we'd spend 6million you posted that there was no cheque book at all.
  17. Not really Rev. He asked about any Rovers supporters message boards he should read. I coughed then put on The Best of Sabbat. Bloody awful journey all in all.
  18. Nice touch Rev. You always said this transfer would happen so it’s good to see you’ve been proven right. Yet another poster with their finger on the pulse. ?
  19. What with? The magic cheque book? The one you told everyone weeks ago that didn’t exist?
  20. What on Earth was he all aboùt. Terrible terrible player. Im sure I’ve loads of these. Two that spring to mind, Salgado. Just couldn’t see it after his first few games with us. He went on to become a great player (which of course he was, you don’t play for Madrid for that long otherwise). Nyambe. I’d have looked to replace his back in January. Since then he’s come on leaps and bounds.
