  1. Malcolm Young passed away today. He was the rhythm guitarist in AC/DC. He was quite simply brilliant. Very underrated - leaving the limelight to his brother. RIP fella. One of the good guys. Powerage will be played tonight. ?
  2. What odds do you think you'll have got? No manager of that club has had any success in recent years. And that's no disrespect to Oldham whatsoever.
  3. It's bloody rubbish if you ask me. Change for changes sake. New people have come in and got rid of the old, slightly different, format and got shut. No consultation, nothing. What have we now? A flasher, brasher, er, slasher of a new format that will no doubt talk a good game but give it a few weeks and it'll start to grate. Believe me. It probably has a Scottish accent as well. And is bald. More questions than answers. Yet again. Another kick in the teeth - and balls - with a pointed stick. The all seater stadium, prawn sandwich eating, tedious stat spewing Messageboard format of the 22nd century - or whatever year this is today. It's probably got a sponsor on its back and a hidden loyalty scheme that I forgot all about shortly after typing "loyalty scheme" just then. I'll probably not even be able to log on anymore if my sons not with me. Pathetic. Who's the new formats Agent that what's I want to know? Actually, on reflection, it looks good really. Cheers.
  4. Come on BDS, have a guess. and to be clear, I believe Skip.
  5. The Khyber Café, Wainwright Bridge, The M65 Services, a Hole In The Wall cash machine, that metal sculpture with that daft kid he keeps dropping his glove, that metal Bee thing, that one at Junction 4 with that sculpture of the bloke with his arse hanging out, the new fence round the Golden Cup, and one will undoubtedly be the beer garden of Clitheroe Kates. I can't see this being a problem.
  6. Only if he takes some books to stand on! Alright Gav mate?!
  7. Sorry Gumboots. "Bunkum" word removed.
  8. To be very clear, I've never said that Husky. It's absolute bollokcs
  9. You mean that fella in front of the tank? He had it easy. I bet they weren't playing Glad All Over to him at a million decibels were they?
  10. What a truly historic moment that was. Etched in my mind, and in the minds of everyone who saw it, forever. Chilling stuff. Bloody Courtney.
  11. Hardly likely. If I had a penny every time someone posted "7 years" I'd probably have something like 53p now, maybe as much as 65p.
  12. Got to love this on Twitter! From @ninjathunder "Absolutely bloody typical. #Rovers on the verge of a rare away victory and @realDonaldTrump threatens the apocalypse"
  13. 1 0 Rovers. Evans with a fine finish. They showed the goal on Sky Sports News - Channel 409.
  14. Knowing you Arbitro, knowing me, bob fleming. A ha. Mama Mia, here we go again.
  15. He was reporting on Sky Sports News last week - live from Old Trafford on the Lukaku thing. A role he did previously before Rovers I think (not that I remember him before Rovers)
  16. Now that does make sense! Good grief though. Alan Myers tweets nothing more than Judan Ali and then a pair of eyes. No one would bet against this happening now though. Cat 1 or not. League 1 or not. You can kind of guarantee that we'll no longer be attracting the cream of the crop anymore - regardless of whether we buy parents houses etc when they're 11 or not (as other clubs do)
  17. Come again? And I'm not having a go. I can well believe anything now. Ali was here initially? When? Players liked him as Scott Dann won a pool competition with him? Or Dann and Ali held up some pool champions? At gun point? On a road? Gary Neville was earmarked as manager and was prepared to have Ali as his assistant but Balaji's film company went bust? When was this? and this has come from Shebby Singh - aka Captain Sensible?
  18. Yep, heard that before Len. All ties in with that infamous Andy Cole article doesn't it? Loads of people knew by all accounts about what was going to happen. Only takes one to talk. One day the master of puppets will get his. He can hide but he can't run. Imagine if that and Venkys leaving happened in the same week? It'll be like the 14th May 95 all over again. One day eh? Just a matter of time.
  19. Commercial Rain was another belter. Saw them above Cest la Vies in town a long time ago - slide show as well! Also at Manchester international 2. What a venue that was! The walls were leaking. I also saw Motorhead there around 91. Happy days. RIP Mr Gill.
  20. Can't argue with that. Barnsley, one win in 10. Yep. If you employ Owen Coyle, keep him in charge for as long as they did, spend nothing on player recruitment, bring in far too many loans, bring in has beens and scum bags, employ Sheffield Wednesday "managerial" cast offs. Well, basically, you're setting yourself up to fail. Premeditated destruction.
  21. We were that poor last weekend I'm worried about Rotherham catching us. As for Wes Brown, he's taking the pi$$. So was the bloke who signed him. Are we going bust? We probably already are, there's just a bit more to be squeezed out of this charade first though isn't there? You know, for "the owners". We've been morally bankrupt as a club from the moment The Walker Trust sold us to "Venkys".
  22. Barnsley take the lead at Wigan. It's the hope etc...
  23. Well if Paul Senior knows him then I dare say we might go for Andy Morrison again. Sorry, I shouldn't BDS. It would never happen, Morrison is of course well past his sell by date, he can barely move these days I'd wager. No way would we sign a centre half like that.
