  1. a curiosity: 23. juni 2024 — Blackburn Rovers are showing interest in striker Augustus Kargo, who scored nine goals in the Italian third tier last season. The link to Kargbo appeared June 2024. He was signed deadline day January 2025. Very often are the players we end up first linked to us through very random articles
  2. However, in order to progress, other clubs such as Middlesbrough, Bristol City etc, reinvest upwards of 70% of transfer fees received into transfer fees for new signings to improve their squad we have been above both of them lately
  3. Really tough fixtures to start of the season
  4. Think it was Tavares corner. Horrible decision. Sometimes we can play it short and keep the ball. This is a Rovers thing.
  5. WBA beat Wrexham 2-3 today. They are not a bad side. we were decent today. Fought well, full of running, but we were very hard done by.
  6. I don’t get it though. you love this club. I would hate my wife if I called her ugly, fat and useless couple of times a day
  7. Anthony Knockaert (fra Standard Liège til Leicester, 2012 🤣
  8. The margins between being a success or a failure are extremely tight. heard a story today about a player (x) who had a gentlemen’s agreement with a PL club, then when x flew over to sign he had a phone call from his friend who played for Rovers who wanted him to sign for us. X met our manager at the time and really wanted to sign for rovers, but stayed loyal to the gentlemen’s agreement. X made a huge mistake in his PL debut. The manager never spoke to him again and he never got to fullfill his potential. It could have beeen completely different if he hadn’t made that mistake or signed for Rovers
  9. The list of players from Belgian league to PL who has been a success is long. Same with Scandinavians.
  10. Stop twisting my words. What about Bournemouth then, lost Huijsen, Kerkez and Zabarniy? Brentford lost their Talisman Mbeumo to a team lower on the table. wolves have lost their talisman each season, Raul, Neves, Jota, Cunha
  11. I agree with this. Focus on the players that are there and want to play, not the other ongoings. all clubs have these issues, look at Newcastle with Isak or even Liverpool with Trent.
  12. The high press is what I am very anxious about too. We will piss ourselves in defense if we try to play it out from the back. Hoof it as far as we are able to and keep tight, at least for the first 30 minutes.
  13. I also think that Travis loved playing under JDT. As I have said in other posts. The best we have seen of Trav was under JDT. He played with his heart on his sleeve and I guess he felt that himself.
  14. Not at all. Has all the attributes to be a good player. Should have had at least one assist against Bradford.
  15. This just shows the lack of respect for other humans which unfortunately has been a common thread under these owners.
  16. After some poor results, Rovers will likely be active in the transfer window before it shuts. One of their reported targets, Nectarios Triantis, could now be available with just a couple of weeks remaining in the window. According to Football Insider, Sunderland are ready to let Triantis leave the club, whether on loan or permanently. Triantis was given an opportunity to impress during pre-season by boss Regis Le Bris. ADVERTISEMENT ´ However, after key signings, both at centre-back and in midfield, Triantis does not have an immediate future with the Black Cats. Triantis had a brilliant loan spell in Scotland last season with Hibernian. Derby County have been heavily linked with Triantis too this summer, but former Rovers boss John Eustace has quashed those rumours. MLS side Minnesota United are also keen, while his former side Hibernian have been priced out of a deal.
  17. https://eflanalysis.com/news/truth-behind-lewis-travis-and-blackburn-rovers-fallout-emerges-as-derby-county-circle/ Yet, the situation involving Travis will be on the minds of everyone at Pride Park, especially after Ismael told the media that the midfielder wants to leave Blackburn, with the Lancashire Telegraph reporting that the 27-year-old’s camp were not happy with those comments. He wanted to play against West Brom last weekend, even though Derby were interested in him, and he is keen to ensure that he gives his all until he does depart – however, he does not want to exit ‘through the back door’. The report also states that the Rams have made an offer that is ‘life-changing’ and with just a year left on his contract at Ewood Park, he is keen for a new challenge but the situation must be handled correctly.
  18. He probably had a "shut up" clause in his contract signed in 2022.
  19. Yes, it is common and generally expected for wages in India to be increased periodically, though the specific amount can vary. Salary increases are typically influenced by factors like performance, inflation, and market conditions. I tried to find a cultural logic behind the behavior
  20. This Idea is better than boycotting completely.
  21. Axel Henriksson got 4 years if my memory serves me correcly. In hindsight giving out those contract deals was a big mistake and I can understand owners/management being reluctant and trying to learn by past mistakes and try to avoid the same hapening. The problem is that it is NO WHERE IN BETWEEEN! Either its Ronaldinho coming, splashing cash, giving out new contracts like drunken sailors or complete misery and full stop Mismanaged and poorly run football club.
  22. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/carlton-morris-luton-town-championship-strikers-wages/ This one says something different Active Squad: Player Name Weekly Wage Yearly Salary Age Position Nationality Marvelous Nakamba £34,000 £1,768,000 30 DM Zimbabwe Carlton Morris £32,000 £1,664,000 28 AM L, ST England
