  1. Trav leaving is a real sucker punch. He is someone the supporters identify with and someone who brings pride to the team. Compared to Britain, JRC and even Dolan, he will be very very very hard to replace.
  2. Im just going by watching the replays of two matched under VI from last season. VIs style doesn't suit Trav. I love Trav. I have him as my profile pic on X and as I said yesterday in here - he is Arte et Labore.
  3. I agree DutchRovers, but under VI he has been the best of the two. He is a better passer and even score two goals against Millwall. I love Travis, but he hasn't been favored by Ismael since he took over. Another very obvious observation is that VI doesn't rate Gueye at all. Even Woodrow came on before him last season.
  4. It is evident that VI dont rate Travis as much as we do. If my memory serves me correctly he was the one (of Trav and Tron) to be subbed early most of the times. Tronstad popped up with the occasional goal and looks more of a VI player. Trav is his best when he can harass the opposition, before of the style of play under VI it requires even more pace and engine than Trav seemingly has. He had some moments under Eustace where he was amazing and I think JEs style of play suited Trav better than VIs. Trav might have come to that conclusion himself. If you love working under a manager who gets the best out of you I can fully understand the eager to join up with him again. He turns 28 this year, and he might feel that he needs a new challenge.
  5. Very much so. I have even rewatched Rovers v Watford and Rovers v Millwall to try to understand it. What is quite clear is that VI wants a style of play where we win the ball high up the pitch. This makes us very vulnerable when don't win the ball. Also we were very reliable on Ohashi collecting the ball, back to Cantwell and Tronstad who puts the ball over the defenders for Britain and Dolan to chase, going round the defender and cut back. Think 3 of 4 goals against Millwall came that way. We saw glimpses of this against WBA, where De Neve got round his defender and cut the pass back in only with Axel to arrive a bit late. We also saw that Alebiosu got by his marker and got the cut back in. This is defently a big part of our strategy. What also is very evident is that we are playing very sluggish, passes completely astray and a chaotic game. I have never warmed to VI. In small spells we look like a very good side with neat passing, running and winning the ball back, but when it doesn't work we are running around like headless chickens and look non-league. Also - how extremely bad was Gueye yesterday.
  6. What I find most worrying after yesterdays game and saturdays game is our inability to create goalscoring chances. we don’t seem to have a good plan and look very easy to defend against. With that said we have absolutely made it super difficult for us by going down in the first minutes. This makes it even easier to defend against, because the teams can just with a low block and we don’t get the space required to create chances.
  7. I wonder if I should switch to Derby myself. They seem a lovely club.
  8. Don’t kick a guy who is Already down 🀣
  9. According to this he is on 15k pw https://salarysport.com/football/championship/blackburn-rovers/
  10. Sammie out with his Ipswich against Bromley and Brittain and Boro taking a thrashing against Doncaster.
  11. According to my link Trav is on 3.5k pw Hyam and Cantwell the highest earners.
  12. According to this Cantwell has 30k pw. https://www.capology.com/club/blackburn/salaries/
  13. There has been refill of ink at Ewood https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25384116.blackburn-rovers-nicolas-michalski-pens-new-long-term-deal/
  14. It was a but frustrating to not recognize the play style from pre-season. We seemed to lack energy or we were on half distance for way too much of time.
  15. I agree that we missed Cantwell. The thing is Trav and Tronstad both came deep to collect the ball. We then played out to Ribeiro or Alebiosu and then inside to Axel, De neve or Ohashi. Hedges was never involved in the play and slowed down most attacks. We didn't have the creativity to play the pass which opened up the defense. Looking back we actually came to several good crossing positions from both De Neve and Alebiosu in the first half, but the ball didn't end up where we wanted. Its early doors, but besides the low intensity press there was several positive signs from Saturday.
  16. It's ridiculous to say we lack depth. I will say we have very good depth except RW and to an extent Striker.
  17. Also backs up the "fear" of giving new long-term contracts. Not a single one of them delivered after the new contract.
  18. He did more than Hedges and Hedges played the full 90.

  20. However, after coming on as a half-time substitute in a 2-0 win over Elversberg on Sunday, Miyoshi now doesn't meet the criteria for a GBE work permit. As he's appeared in the 2.Bundesliga, a band four league, his points are weighted in that division, meaning he doesn't qualify. From LT Article.
  21. Here is the link to the article: https://www.sportsboom.co.uk/football/transfer-news/exclusive-captain-lewis-travis-nearing-blackburn-exit-derby-leading-the-chase EXCLUSIVE my ass The following summer the club rejected a bid from Millwall for Travis before a short-term loan deal in 2024 saw him help Ipswich Town return to the Premier League for the first time in over two decades. Travis helped Town to the return to premier league.....
  22. The thing is, even seasoned Championship players looked lost in that game. Lots of huffs and puffs and low quality on the ball. Mostly when he got the ball he did something with. Nothing spectacular per ce, but played one two with Ribeiro and in line with the GAIS supporters he looked to think forwards instead of just going back (which would be the easy thing to do). He also did some defensive duties and one time held off, think it was HeggebΓΈ from getting the ball. He also came close from getting a shot in, arriving in the box for De Neves cross and I think he got a header on goal.
  23. I have rewatched the full game from Saturday. Axel Henriksson will be a very good signing. Not afraid to get stuck in, physical ready for the Championshipm vision and got a cross in him. I would have taken of Hedges instead of him an played him in Hedges position. Alebiosu. Will also end up as a very good signing. Took on his man several times and looked okay defensively. Had an eager about him to get to the byline for a cross. Not the best communication with Hedges. If he was fully fit I would play him together with Miller instead of Hedges. Miller. Will also be a good signing. Fits the Championship attributes well. Came to a goalscoring opportunity on a crosser and isn't afraid to get stuck in. Has decent pace. Tavares didn't see enough to judge. Hopefully see more of him tomorrow.
