  1. Pre order with no delivery date but expected to be the end of the month!
  2. I see Ashley Phillips is with the England under 17’s at the moment
  3. Whilst I agree to a degree (I decree), there is also an element on Twitter where there is an almost passive aggressive element of hyper positivity and sneering at anyone who questions things (the London based journo for example but I’m not convinced it’s not intended to be a wind up) There is a middle ground which I imagine most people fall into
  4. I think we are in agreement buddy, Chaddy had said why would we hear from them but I think it’s entirely reasonable to expect to have had some word on the back of the failure to land a striker
  5. Rich Sharpe said he had reached out for comment from the club and manager about the window but hadn’t got a response. Chaddy it’s not unreasonable to expect that the club be available for comment in the local paper outside of pre game press conferences
  6. Unusual that we haven’t heard the usual platitudes from Tony today with the only quotes on the back of signing Edun presumably before the disappointment later on Is he fed up himself?
  7. I was playing a hypothetical game of ‘which clubs incomings would I most want here’ have to say I think Boro look to have a couple of decent additions there Didnt spot that QPR could now line up with Austin and Gray up front, short term but two proven goal scorers there Interestingly quite a lot of clubs have brought in strikers on frees or loans that would have strengthened us, you have to wonder if us being too slow working down the list has left us lacking
  8. Convinced there’s something it an attitude or lifestyle problem there myself, mayve part of Danny Graham’s north east booze brigade. He was warming up in front of us against West Brom, Davenport got the nod to come and and he looked in a proper sulk, stopped warming up and barely moved before being called to come on When he did get on he showed some class and glimpses of the talent we know he has, there’s a player there, I think he’ll carve out a decent career flitting between league one and the championship, a modern day Alan Judge type, but I don’t think we’ll ever see the best of him here.
  9. I don’t think anyone had issue with the QEGS background, more that it was sounding like a qualifier, indeed if I recall it’s what the post lead with previously.
  10. I don’t know…..I am not a smart man
  11. I’m a little disappointed we didn’t loan out the likes of Magloire, Cirino and co, would have been good to get some experience given game time here will be limited with the loanees filling the match day squad
  12. Is there a solid argument that we are stronger in any position other than left back? Keepers - same Right back - lost back up in Bennett, otherwise same, Nyambe near end of contract but Pike and Carter showing promise Central Defence - lost THB and (thankfully) Branthwaite, brought in the Dutch lad. Carter and Wharton seem to be a future pairing but Ayala staying fit (big if) is crucial - Lenihan nearing end of contract Left Back - Bell and Douglas gone, neither a big loss, Pickering looks ok and new lad could be a good un - progress Central midfield - lost a playmaker in Holtby and backup options in Evans and Trybull (neither a huge loss) brought in Clarkson who seems to occupy similar positions to Buckley Wing forwards - brought in Poveda and Kedra, could be good but big ask to replace Elliotts contributions Strikers - lost a 29 goal man, not replaced at all It seems we are now reliant on a number of attacking players chipping in with goals but the concern is we’ve lost 40 or so goals from last season and brought in players with less than a handful of career goals (maybe even games) between them
  13. John Park was described by the manager as a workaholic https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19510574.blackburn-rovers-transfer-chief-appointment-no-brainer-mowbray/ Now call me old fashioned but if someone is a workaholic, working all hours and getting those results something indicates they may not be very adept at actually doing the job.
  14. Before I go into a rant about the business I wanted to say something positive Well done to the guys over at Roverschat for trying something new tonight, caught some of it and was nice to see Now back to your regular programming
  15. Quoting myself a couple of weeks back here but was this the easiest prediction of the window?
  16. As in he’s anatomically perfect?
  17. Maybe Burke was a tactical leak so if we sign nobody the argument becomes ‘well people didn’t want Burke so they should be happy’ Either way the whole thing stinks
  18. So you are saying that stats don’t tell the story here? This is bizarro world stuff
  19. General consensus on Twitter among Sheff United fans is ‘start the car’
  20. Oli Burke fits the bill - as in not very good and bottom of the barrel
  21. One way or another we’ll know in 3 hours, I’m in no rush to find out before then just get it done! Expecting it to be someone we haven’t even discussed and comes out of the blue
  22. Morsey going to Ipswich is a surprise, he’s a shithouse but good enough for this league. Him and Cook forming their grin partnership again
  23. Wanted it to work out for Harry here but it’s been clear that’s not going to happen, he looked miserable warming up against West Brom recently A move seems best for everyone
  24. So we need a striker and are linked to Obafemi and then Lowe along with Bournemouth. Lowe has gone to Bournemouth and Obafemi is going to Swansea to replace Lowe. Hope ours is a good un
