  1. We need more from Cantwell than a few decent chipped passes though, he was wasteful far too often, terrible delivery on free kicks and just dallied too much
  2. He’s hugely lucky - got himself a one game van rather than three, let’s be honest it was a disgusting tackle could have easily been a leg breaker
  3. I was impressed with Kargbo today, couple of times he didn’t have the desired effect forward or back but he put the yards in and snuffed out danger a few times, exciting to see someone take on a man as well and get to the byline Dennis has played himself out of contention but with Gueye looking good and Ohashi coming back it’s nice to have options. Sadly Cantwell looks like he’s not going to do it here
  4. Great point in the end that, can’t believe anyone would complain about the ref for us with the 2 blatant red cards we got away with. We’ve absolutely benefited from poor officiating today. Hyam likely to have a ban incoming for his stupidity. Weimann is a class option to have, I thought the subs were the right ones today by hook or by crook
  5. Good chance his fourth official has let him know, bang to rights anyway he had to go
  6. We may not see much of Dennis, sounded like Ismael not a fan already from his time with him before and just sealed it, can't believe he's got himself such a stupid red
  7. Ref knows he should have had a red without doubt earlier, was always going to take the chance if he gave him one, we can have no complaints at all
  8. 2 of the most obvious and stupid red cards not given today, unreal decisions really Whilst the subs have been foretold at 60 mins etc I think they were the right ones and AK was out of his feet at the end he put a real shift in Some of Gueyes link up has been brilliant but not at his best in the box yet
  9. Could be effective with Gueye playing in Kargbo / Ohashi Not sure it’s any worse than 782 passes around the back with no aim which Pep has inflicted on us all
  10. I actually don’t think we were shafted to be honest. He’s an unreal player and one that will move for a fee that will eclipse what we got for him - if he stays injury free, but he had to have an initial move up to the premier league to realise his true value. Unless we got promoted I don’t think we’d have got all that much more for him. I think his only obstacle is his own body now, hope he isn’t plagued by injuries.
  11. Is Gueye’s native language French? (I did check but Senegal has quite a lot of languages). May help Big Mak as well if so. Like all Rovers fans I just really really hope it works out
  12. Dilan got a start tonight - subbed after 16 minutes when his teammate got sent off sadly
  13. I’d take working in the short term for sure
  14. Mr Benson will forever hang on in there “We must also say a big thank you to David Lowe, Damien Johnson, Ben Benson, Mike Sheron and Paul Butler for all their support during the interim period and they will form part of Valérien’s backroom staff at the Senior Training Centre going forward.”
  15. Welcome aboard and good luck to him
  16. Apart from the red card is Joseph looking good? Seeing his name on the scoresheet a bit
  17. Summon the chaddometer!
  18. Consider me simply ‘whelmed’ I have a view that there is actually very very few good managers over a career out there, shown by some of the names we’ve been linked with we would have been delighted with at one stage of their career including Ismael, Karanka and Wagner. Most of them will have a couple of jobs it works out in and more where it just doesn’t. We’ve gone for an easy option who may well have peaked early and now need a big chunk of luck in the hope it works out here. It does show me that we probably hoped to ride it out long enough just to give it to Lowe as this appointment could have been made within a couple of days of Eustace going.
  19. Them winning the championship at Ewood certainly wasn’t nice for Rovers but it didn’t have too much impact on us, either team beating the other in the playoffs celebrating whilst at the same time dumping their rivals out would be a far bigger win for either team there’s no doubt about that. Not going to happen mind
  20. I’ve never seen the Kool-Aid consumed quite so earnestly!
  21. And Sunderland don’t really matter as they are above us, hope to be wrong but feel the slide into mid table has begun
  22. I think it’s become a lot more hypothetical
