  1. I remember at ‘Uncle Jacks’ after our return from Pune, myself and Tris were in attendance for an open fans meeting, Birdy made sure we stood and gave a full account of events. I was happy to speak anyway but I certainly wasn’t going to stay quiet after Birdys efforts to get there I can’t recall the others but Birdy; John Pittard and the rest deserved some credit for making their way there.
  2. Sad news, a definite ‘super fan’ if there was one Rest in peace Birdy
  3. To lay any blame on Leo for the goal is harsh, there’s players literally anywhere he parries that and it’s tough to hold and near impossible to turn out for a corner As an integral part of a defence in a 3-1 win with 10 men he’s done his job; the question marks today were two crosses one he didn’t claim and got flattened the other when he came when he shouldn’t have
  4. I still think the red was just about the right decision, Wharton gets a slight touch on the ball but not enough to divert it away from danger, his trailing leg takes down their man and if not for that he’s in on goal Reckless to dive in at 3-0 up with that long to go I hope it is overturned but I’d be surprised
  5. People coming in from all angles so you’d do well to end up not partying to someone and not an easy one to hold
  6. Leo has great instincts and natural talent, decision making is clearly suspect but as with Raya with the right coaching it can be honed
  7. Funny how we all see it differently, absolutely the right decision on the red card for me, it’s an idiotic lunge as last man Worrying flap from Leo there
  8. 3 brilliant goals and one absolutely idiotic bit of football puts us under the cosh
  9. I’m not sure I follow, how is that defending it? Poor mistake, I still think he’s probably better than Pears
  10. Leo obviously has a weakness on crosses, think he’s marginally the better of our 2 but a lot to learn
  11. A really poor result, we just don’t have any bite, 3 times in stoppage time the mundane commentator on sky said we needed some urgency yet Travis and others refused to put a ball into the box. Not sure if JDT will walk; not sure he’s paid his dues yet, at present he’s looking about as good as we look as a team!
  12. I’m not one to defend Swag but I will say I once bumped into him on the train back from London a few years ago, he had been down to appeal the decision to have Rovers ladies in the second flight. He was in standard class on the first cheap train back up north like the rest of us tightwads
  13. Banter from Rovers having our keeper take our first penalty in the shootout, and score. Nsangou with the goal for us, later his spot kick hit the post in the shootout
  14. This is getting far more attention because it’s Liverpool but it’s interesting to see their fans claim that they should be awarded points, Spurs should have let them score to even it up etc. They are right to feel hard done by but not sure realistically what can be done. Whilst it shouldn’t happen how it did it was a marginal call that happens in ever other tier of the game.
  15. It really was shocking from Wharton leading up to the goal as well, him and Carter should have been hooked long before then
  16. Reminds me of 2011 or so when United won the league at Ewood and we pretty much confirmed survival and they passed the ball around for 20 minutes under no pressure
  17. Slack by Leo, I’ll never like this keeper passing through the middle nonsense
