Sheffield Wednesday will go down, likely with a points deduction; Oxford are no great shakes so we need another team to stink it up. May just be fine I think we’ll scrape enough wins.

Fuck off Rovers -
I feel sorry for Jackson here, I can’t say I’ve ever been a huge fan of his reporting if I’m honest I felt he needed to be more cutting but it may well be his hands were tied. At this point though the club is actively looking to ruin his young career, if the telegraph brought someone else in he’d be out of a job. This is going to backfire in a big way for the club the only thing they can do is back down and then they still look pathetic for it

I think it’s the Travis stuff AND something else as the telegraph write up mentions Travis and also something that the club saw as untrue I think it’s about Suhail refusing an interview or similar, either way it’s bizarre

The most stupid thing is - how do they expect this to go for them? Press will stick together and the club will come out of it looking awful there is literally no positive for them

Bloody hell the reporting could barely have been kinder to them as well, something obviously gone on

Carter out again and proving how daft it was to let Hyam go without another body in -

It was always the default decision and anything else was a very unlikely outcome -

Well it is what it is, the good news is it’s a level playing field and we can just go and beat them as we were on track to do. -

Absolutely - and of the remaining options the full replay is the only one that is true to usual football standards and whilst we would be aggrieved we would still have the chance to go and get 3 points -

Yep it’s boring now just confirm the replay, let us have a whinge and move on -

From what I saw it looked like they poked it a bit but at other grounds I’ve seen people literally running round almost sweeping the water off -

Probably wouldn’t help our cause that there was probably heading for 10 minutes of stoppage time (given the refs technical issues) and in the 5 games previously we’ve conceded 3 in injury time. Even with a man extra I don’t think many of us would have been thinking it was home and ‘dry’ at the time. There’s just no way we can be awarded the points sadly as far as I can see, whilst a replay seems unjust from our eyes at least we’d still have control of the outcome whereas just writing it off as a Rovers win can’t be fair to Ipswich. That said the obvious and most reasonable solution is the option to play the rest of the game but it feels like that won’t be in consideration -

Yep Ismael clearly hasn’t said he disagrees with the decision to call it off just that he wasn’t part of that decision. Seems to me like we are bracing for bad news and getting the statement out ahead of it there -

I can find a small issue yes; picking new teams with them 1-0 down they’d just start all their attacking players; nothing to lose. You want it as close to original game as possible really. I genuinely can’t see past a full rematch given the nuances -

There’s no chance we’d accept a point you’d just take the risk and go for all 3, Ipswich wouldn’t accept that result either. Never mind it’s changing the entire notion of 3 points for a win and 1 for a draw. Everyone is just throwing suggestions out but that is objectively a bad one for all. Then again I think a full replay and giving us 3 points are also bad decisions so the only real one is play out the last 15 or so -

Wonder if in the interest of fair play Ipswich would let us walk one in to effectively start at 1-0 - yeah right -

Presuming it will be replayed the club will be in a tough spot with regards to tickets, I can’t see them making it free for fans that had tickets as it would end up costing us but then the game was null and void. Wonder if there’s insurance that covers the club for the losses if they make it free? Presume Ipswich will make transport free -

It seems we’ve had very few midweek games so far, is there less this season or are they just bunched up together?
