Great win, I thought the performance was actually very similar to the Coventry game, the big difference is luck deserted us that night and was in our favour tonight. Their defender goes off then his replacement is beat by Gueye for the goal then concedes a penalty, they needlessly stop themselves scoring by tapping it in on the line and the 2 penalty calls could have gone either way. I thought ours was slightly fortunate but I didn’t think there was much in theirs either even if the Sky Sports team wanted there to be. We were comfortably the better team till we became our own worst enemy towards the end I thought. Pears - not much to do but one awful punch and had a shocker for the goal Brittain - class act when he’s on form like tonight Batth / Hyam - both solid and no nonsense Beck - caught out for the goal and should have scored but still decent Travis - makes us tick, grown into a great captain Buckley - some nice passing but silly booking then lunged in after that, needs to stamp that out Hedges - industrious but a weak link for me going forward Weimann - quiet but put one on a plate for Beck Dolan - mainly ridiculous, silly step overs and too much but sublime for the goal Gueye - some cracking hold up play, his touch is deceivingly good, I think a pacer support would do him the world of good, delighted to see him score and smile, some great headers in our box but on another day may become a villain late on Cantwell - delighted he scored but still too many arrogant touches at times Sanderson - worryingly mistimed a header at a crucial time JRC / Forshaw - didn’t really notice -
I mean we won’t miss anything but who on earth approves leave at what should be a critical time for his role?

maybe I misread then. I thought I saw a quote from his manager that said months

Feel for Kyle McFadz - moved on to play football and within 10 minutes gets a season ending injury Hope he can at least go out on his own terms and get a couple games

No but it’s like being at a charity auction bidding £15 for Alan Shearers title winning shirt, you know you aren’t winning but putting your hand up makes you look like you are involved

If Kargbo does sign it’s insane how long it’s taken to get it over the line. It’s like we think deadline day is the target not the last chance!

Over a decade ago we did a ‘sportsman’s’ Event at Blackburn golf club, got Simon Garner as a speaker if I recall and the bloke that made Tash Force. Sold out as well I think. -

I think Thomas-Asante should be the one we are going for, if nothing else let’s get as many double barreled names in the team we can. Cozier-Durberry O’Grady-Macken Rankin-Costello Murphy-Worrall I just feel you need more to build a proper squad!

Subbed off at half time hope he’s not hurt -
0-0 - the true winner is myself, as I didn’t watch a minute of it. Burnley do know how not to concede.

Pears isn’t a great keeper but it would be pointless selling him now unless there is really a silly offer; he’s no longer one of our biggest weaknesses which shows he’s come a long way.
-
They are one of the worst though, didn’t they fly to Australia or similar for a tour the day after the season finished? Jokers

Reminded me of Tim Flowers (hard to criticise by comparing to a legendary keeper) he often went for free kicks with his arms somehow invisible -
Whilst I wouldn’t be shocked and I wouldn’t blame him part of me thinks (unpopular opinion time) that he knew what he was getting into. All you have to do is look at recent history, and I know people always think they can tame a bad boy and this time it will be different, it never is. In a way I envy him, he can escape this, and he can do it with his head held high, we are destined to live in this hell cycle until someone somehow shows us some mercy. 13 years ago I was naive enough to think my words could help if I got chance to speak with the owners, part of the fans forum and never missed a home game, now I’m a lapsed season ticket holder who feels detached from the club my family has always loved but still feel the pain of our decline.

Got to say it’s really poor from Pears that free kick, there’s no way he should be beat that easily -
Annoyingly Burnley will have chance to go top against Leeds Sheff United battering Hull but 2-0 down

Once again unleaded beats the local press to the punch

Reckon Burnley may win tonight, 5-0 up at half time

Lad seems more bothered about his podcast though than reporting on us on anything a millimetre below the surface or handed to him

More likely they did their homework on Pears and the tactic still paid off -
He deserves dropping. I’d be all for it to send a message, problem being who comes in?
