  1. Well it's not 'good game good game'
  2. It's hard to know who exactly, just had choice words and was clearly pissed off with being hooked.
  3. I actually thought that myself when he was subbed and ripped into those on the bench.
  4. Maybe I misunderstood the context because it definitely reads like an excuse for the manager during the exchanges with Mercer and arbitro.
  5. Fair post and you've shown more bollocks than most to say something that has been at odds with your previous point of view. However, I have to ask why you have u-turned only a matter of hours after backing him to enter the transfer market to sign more players?
  6. I'd rather be on a coach in Sweden at the minute. Especially if it was driven by The Palma Violets tour manager.
  7. Oh dear.....my view for what it's worth Travis effective without the ball, not so with it. Downing slow and ponderous Pears is fucking crap Tempo and urgency completely non-existent Buckley out of position, ineffective and not looking to impact the game Brereton poor and we're in danger of overrating him just because he doesn't fall over every time he gets the ball Trybull neat and tidy Bell is Bell Dolan looks our main threat Dack looks every inch a player who has missed 12 months of football Just gutted I took Donny out of my acca at the last minute when they were a tasty 4/1
  8. On many occasions you have stated there are no excuses this season not to make the playoffs yet now there are?!! However, 3/4 injuries in a key position is a little unlucky but my question would be why 'only' 4 CBs in the squad with the injury records they have? One would also have to ask why we have at least 10 players who can play CM yet are threadbare at the back?
  9. Not sure on that step up Sparks but I will say confidently he'll have a better career in the game than Buckley. I'll also add that I'm a tad disappointed we haven't signed him, we haven't got a dominant CM and I think he could've fit the bill from what I've seen.
  10. I work with a load of cod heads and pass owner Andy Pilley's house every day. Let's just say he has a colourful past and he and Barton are birds of a feather.
  11. Good win as expected when TM needs one. 3 more points towards the inevitable mid table finish.
  12. Once in a lifetime.....a Gallagher good game
  13. Makes the Buckley for Nyambe substitution in midweek look even more ridiculous now that Douglas starts there. Line up reeks of desperation but we all know what happens when Mowbray needs a result.
  14. The disparity in spending power was comparable though as player wages and transfer fees were relatively low. I'd also argue that the quality of player in this league was better back then as top league squads were smaller with only 13 in a matchday squad. Think back to 87/88, there were players like Sheringham, Pallister, McAllister, Newell, McCall, Sheridan all plying their trade at this level.
  15. Fully agree with those suggesting Bilic, Jokanovic, Wagner, Pearson, Hughes etc. Always said I'd like a Roy Keane style hurricane through that dressing room as it's been easy street for years but it's hard to ignore his recent failings. As a leftfield and probably more realistic suggestion, Derek Adams at Morecambe is doing an unbelievable job with very little. Also get the added bonus of him bringing the prodigal son home with him to solve our goalscoring issues, come on home Jordan Slew.
  16. Indeed. It riles me when I read 'older' fans on social media say this is as good as it gets. Under Smith, Kendall, Saxton and Mackay we always competed at the top end of the table and we didn't have a pot to piss in back then.
  17. If Buckley is the poster boy of the academy, there's no point having one.
  18. I reckon Liverpool have stipulated he plays if fit as part of the loan agreement.
  19. You're back!! I was thinking you'd been 'banned' again as I'd not seen any posts after the last two winless games.
  20. I can only assume you haven't read these points of view where any attempt at reasonable debate is shot down with laughing emojis and disparaging and insulting comment? At least on here there is an attempt at reasoning, on there it's support the manager at all costs with no question. There is some bloke on there (Peter John Brown, think he posts on here) who gets untold abuse for stating valid opinion. That's what gets me angry as well as the shift in opinion to suit the manager's shortcomings.
  21. I've noticed a shift in the attitudes on social media towards Mowbray. It has softened on us making the playoffs but now hardened towards this being our level and TM doing well to keep us here. Makes me so angry reading that shite.
  22. Early in the season our first thought when getting the ball was to pass forward, now we go safe and look sideways. If that's down to the players I question their bottle but also question the manager because he has to set the players' mindsets to being more positive. For me I think this change is led by the manager and his muddled thinking regarding possession stats. I've said it before and I'll say it again, dominating the ball is not the same as dominating the opposition.
