Thank God we've got to HT so Tony can address things tactically. -

I'd sub Pears now, I really would. He's a goal waiting to happen. -

Got to question Mowbray's decision not to hook Armstrong straight away on Saturday. -
Good post. You articulated my thoughts far better than I could. Think it'll be possession for possession's sake. No doubt he'll knock a few cracking 50 yard floating diagonals that show his quality but don't threaten the opposition.

He had a loan spell at Rochdale last season where he played 2 league games. Also remember seeing him get hooked after 30 minutes in an FA cup tie for them after an appalling performance (think it was against Newcastle) where the lad Mattheson had an absolute stormer and subsequently signed for Wolves. -
Joe, you work in player stats, if you have those for Downing's km per game early and late in the season that will rebuff the argument. I'd certainly be interested in seeing them even though it's his sharpness that concerns me more.
-
Downing was a very good footballer but unless he is cover for LB I don't see how he fits into a 4-3-3. I'm with those that think his legs have gone I'm afraid and a short passing high intensity style will pass him by in midfield.

Was never really a Weller fan but the documentary on Sky Arts at the weekend "About the young idea" was superb stuff. Hardly surprising he wanted out at the time, hard to believe how hard working they were. 2 albums a year plus all the touring and promo.
-
We could play 8 at the back but if you don't do the basics like marking and challenging it doesn't matter a jot. The personnel issues have been the same for 4 years now and the mistakes persist, unfortunately Mowbray won't give up on polishing turds.

Gets us less than 50 points extrapolated over a season. Bona fide relegation form and 18 games is hardly a small sample. Got to be happy for the Wednesday points deduction and that Wycombe are a load of pony.

Other football league 2020/21 season

Yes it is the same Caddis and what a goal it was, rifled in off the underside of the bar. Leutwiler saved a penalty that Mulgrew conceded for Fleetwood yesterday. Camps's goal was a cracker as well. -

Where is this arbitro? My daughter is on work placement as assistant physio at Frickley Athletic so that will go for a burton if true? -
A bit of dissent among the fans, a couple of games into the death spiral, I know exactly what is about to happen. The Mowbray flag will make a reappearance.
-
What does that actually mean?? As long as we try that's OK?
-
Slow build mate, sloooooooow build
-
To be fair if it's that filter stuff it does suppress your appetite

Mentioned Marcus Forss as a player when he was on loan at Wimbledon last year, just scored his 6th of the season for Brentford with a sublime finish.
-
Sorry but if he's that unprofessional before a game he shouldn't be in the squad
-
He might want to give it a while, Ben Whiteman has bagged a beauty today and 10 million man Bucko is regressing at a rate of knots.
-
He means Delroy Pearson, bloke out of 80s band 5 star. I'd say he's a shoo in for the shortlist.

Rovers vs Reading at Virtual Ewood
LDRover replied to Lancs Rover's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
A worrying 20 minutes from Buckley at the end as well. He simply has to push on this season but again failed to impress and was overpowered easily tonight. I like the lad and feel he has talent but he needs to step up and fast. There's better players than him who have faded into obscurity. -

Shit or bust this season, talk of slow build or work in progress is total folly with loan players and contracts expiring. Not a chance we will go up defending like that. We also need a right hard bastard on the pitch who can crack a few heads - we're just too nice. -

Mowbray just cannot set us up to defend and we're now 3 years in. JRC cruelly exposed every time they go forward and the keeper is hardly filling me with confidence. -
Billy Ingham too.
