  1. What a ball from Holtby there
  2. However, although he has his detractors, I can state with confidence that Holtby is the best footballer we currently have at the club and whatever we achieve this season will be in direct correlation to him being utilised correctly. Posted this at the start of the season, the lad is a class apart.
  3. Place where I work turns over in excess of 200 million p/a, our CEO is on far less than Waggott.
  4. How can he talk like this having just released the ultimate squad filler in that position, Sam Hart?
  5. Agreed. Makes you wonder why he publicly dug Raya out.
  6. It's Delinho Williamski. The fabled European scouting network have unearthed him. Exciting times.
  7. There is an argument for that as he would get on the ball more. However, for now I'd like him a bit further forward playing the killer pass. Holtby is just fine moving the ball forward quickly and setting the tempo.
  8. He came from PNE, We signed him on a free?
  9. Looking at the clubs who have loaned him I tend to agree. It's also quite telling that Everton fans used to call him Luke Garbage. On the subject of Everton though, with their excellent recruitment over the summer there look to be some proper players suddenly out of the first team picture. Probably out of our range but Tom Davies and Mason Holgate (if he's still there) spring to mind. Plus the left back Martina (having checked it looks like they have released him and he's a RB anyway!!) - he's a player.
  10. So now TM is intimating loans are 'dead money' at the end of the season unless they get you where you want to be and I totally agree with him. So the question is, what was he doing with the 3 expensive loans last season that probably did 3 million because there was no way we set our stall out to get promoted.
  11. Remiss of me not to mention Buckley as well. After being initially sceptical of him, more down to his physique, I'm now a big fan. It's a stark contrast to when the Academy churned out midfield athletes like J-Lo, this boy really can play. So comfortable on the ball, plays on the half turn, always looks to pass forward and has great vision. Got to find a way to get him in the team now.
  12. Great win and, in Dolan, we've got a real talent on our hands.
  13. But hey, they're paying the bills....
  14. Indeed. The people justifying the sale by saying (wrongly) everyone agreed it was a good deal are the same ones who would be crowing about it had he bombed at Brentford.
  15. Really poor that but the buck stops with Nyambe. Is too deep in the wonky defensive line and rather than go with the runner steps up for offside. It's down to the 2 full backs to get that line right as they can see right across - poor from Nyambe that.
  16. Now that is a good piece of transfer news, I'd say he's the nasty, cynical bugger we've been crying out for. Credit to Mowbray on this one, let's hope he gets him in the side straight away with none of this 'bedding in'.
  17. Where you been 1864? A commercial?
  18. He's one hell of a talent but 50 million is stretching it a bit. Mind you if Chilwell can go for 60 million I can see why.
  19. Completely agree with the point in bold. I'm a big fan of Holtby and think he's a cut above at this level but he does disappear around the hour mark. Also noticed you've not dug Travis out on the 1st goal? He was equally culpable with Johnson but seems to get a free pass. I think his form has flat lined since lockdown and he needs to pick it up quickly as we need him on it.
  20. No need to Paul, I posted as such so it's there whatever the outcome.
  21. I believe he's stewing over it as Rovers have lost their appeel. Chances are it'll get canned.
  22. Why give Travis a free pass here Davul? He is our all action enforcer yet was just as culpable, especially on the first goal.
  23. He was injured in October and missed one game before returning. If it took Mowbray 6 months to realise he'd 'lost confidence' (which is complete guesswork on your part) it reflects pretty badly on him. The four games he was dropped for were the last time he wore a Rovers shirt , on the bench. Good management decision? Appreciated by Raya? Bollocks.
  24. 4 of them at the end of the season when he was dropped (following a win at Forest) for no apparent reason. So you're wrong.
  25. I was and can back it up with posts from that time should I need to. Mind you, there's not many who can spot a player like I can to be fair ;0)
