We just need something to happen sooner rather than later as we are running out of large assets to sell. The Raya money will be arriving in the summer which is highly likely to end up in the black hole with the Kaminski, Phillips and Wharton money. A new owner coming in and selling Wharton would have given us a real hope of making good signings and building for the future. A new owner arriving with all valuable assets exhausted really ties their hands.

Call me a cynic but didn't the club statement come out about 30 minutes after Sky Sports News reported issues on the deal. The statement wasn't for the fans, it was to kick the can down the road for the national eyes.
