  1. I don't follow Orient particularly closely if I'm being honest. I thought there would be a decent chance after a season of pro football with our thin budget he may have been looked at. Hopefully we are onto bigger and better things, I'd be very happy if we were.
  2. Markanday not being offered anything may show just how little money the manager has to play with next season.
  3. There is an honesty and work rate to Hedges game that I've always respected, and I'm sure if you are a full back you are very happy to have him covering you. I have to say though, I thought he struggled this season and would be concerned if he played as much next season as he did this.
  4. I think you are correct, as mad as it sounds. A first year computer science student would be able to make a computer programme for this not to need to happen, this is Rovers though.
  5. He does have lots of other business interests, I find it quite alarming that the closure of essentially a function suite, out with of matchdays, has caused a huge part of a football club to collapse though. Holt himself has said the academy was the future of the club, yet after the closing of Coley's its the first thing to go. It must have been one of the highest grossing hospitality areas in Lancashire to be such an essential funding vessel of a football club.
  6. Accrington Stanley have decided to close their academy. I can't help but think we will see another Lancashire club really struggling to compete in professional football like Morecambe, very soon. Andy Holt seems to have turned the taps off for anything other than keeping the lights on. They've struggled to compete with quite a few National League teams on wages recently, worrying times for their supporters.
  7. Rovers vs Wolves 1991, I think. I stood in the enclosure by the wall at the front of the stand with the other kids. A Wolves player scored an own goal very early into the match, but it was disallowed for a reason I cannot remember. Somebody shouted "he's disallowed it because their lad has forgotten which way he is kicking!!" ... 7 year old me believed that was the reason for a good few years afterwards!
  8. I think he has recently found the final product to his game that we have been waiting for since he arrived. It's just our luck that it has been found now. 18 months ago if he had signed a new contract it would have hardly been earth shattering, I'd have been very happy as im confident his replacement will be a down grade. His upturn in form has made it all the worse that he can leave for a nominal fee now. The bosman rule really is pants in these situations as players hold all the cards, up to a couple of weeks ago the Premier League champions had 3 of their best players waiting out to see if they fancied staying beyond 2 months time.
  9. Whether Gestede is naive or not is irrelevant, he has proved he is willing to spread Pashas message. I've had enough of people like Gestede and to an extent Waggott taking up any level of responsibility for our state, they are the puppets. Pasha is the direct line to the owners, so I only want pressure on him and the owners, nobody else can make anything happen
  10. Rudy Gestede clearly was desperate for ANY job in football and has no self pride, he is just another in a long line of charlatans willing to chat Pashas line. Pasha is the problem, he is the person making Venkys believe that Rovers is "working". He is the person who has a hideous plan that Rovers can buy cheap and sustain themselves topped by the academy, it is absolute madness. Rudy Gestede and his self serving interests just put him in a long line of shitbags, but oh yeah ... it's the fans fault because we are all clearly expecting to be Premier League champions. Jesus!
  11. 100% Jerome Anderson called in a favour all those years ago too and got a free unopposed run on Sky Sports News, he even got to cry about his son and was never questioned about him not here on merit.
  12. He makes Hyam a much better defender. Hyam really seems to struggle as the senior centre half, he looked twice the defender when he had Mcfadzean last year too.
  13. I feel like we are having an argument, that I didn't know we were having.
  14. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25096872.dolan-lays-ambitions-amid-blackburn-future-uncertainty/ I'd say he is gone. I'd quite confidently say he will double his money somewhere in this league. 200 Championship games at 23 is an easy punt for anybody in this league for just paying a bit of compo.
  15. He does have an air of "the fans are stupid, leave this to the professionals" about him. Yet, he is another person in charge at this club that cannot fathom that to grow the club, reduce a burden on any owner is that you have to be hot on player trading. The year of us maximising our outward player trading has seen us do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to recruit the next batch of players to sell. The plan this year has been to use that money to pay the bills, no club in the Championship can do that. The stooges never mention their woeful recruitment planning, letting valuable players leave for nothing, not renewing contracts but talk that the club loses £20m a year automatically.
  16. I quite often wander down to watch Clitheroe to just enjoy a football match. It does make me realise that some fans will never come back, just watching football socially and not being reliant on people who actually don't care about the club does make you question absent fans ever coming back.
  17. He has a potent mix of arrogance and denial, two traits that will go down like a cup of sick for us fans.
  18. In isolation you can say first goal well hit, second goal wicked deflection. Same with Pompey, a well hit strike. Your goalkeeper at this level has to be your equaliser with the well hit shots, otherwise I might as well be in goal and shrug my shoulders when the ball is in the net. We look weak going forwards, clueless in defence and for 2 weeks running we have conceded the first shot on goal. I know the Cardiff game was a very early goal too, 1st or 2nd shot.
  19. It did, 2 pivotal players in Eustace's system. I'll go back to my original comment, I have absolutely no idea what this managers plan/system is.
  20. I seriously have no clue what this manager is setting out to do, it is absolutely horrific to view. If he is actually any sort of manager (massively doubtful) he needs 25 new players next season because this lot have no idea what they should be doing. Venkys out.
  21. I'd have loved to see Hyams face when he got told he had to stay another year.
  22. I genuinely have no idea what system is playing here. The gaps for Championship level are hideous.
  23. I doth my cap to anybody who's sanity allows them to read comments Facebook, the LT pages etc. Everybody is entitled to their view but I simply cannot listen to anybody who has any praise for the owners, they do not have to be here, nobody has a gun to their head. If they leave we will carry on at whatever level the next custodian can carry us at, but I'm sure the next custodian will at least have the respect to keep us in the loop as to what is happening. Waggott and crew are keeping the Venkys show on the road and as such I hold them as culpable as the owners. No fan of Blackburn Rovers makes the rules on the crazy world of football finances, they make no sense, you will highly likely lose money, if you don't fancy that then sell. Waggott running the club into the ground because the owners are tired of how much a football club costs to run, is treason to the future of the whole club.
