Has Dolan ever actually signed a new contract here? He must be on pretty grim money if he is still on the same contract and tiered rises he signed for when he was let go by PNE.

We are 5th in the league, fair do's to this group, outstanding effort. Ainsley Pears, I hammered you last season (fairly), but you have been one of our top performers this season. We really need Harry Leonard to find fitness and form to stay in and around this position as I think he is the only natural finisher at the club.

I would be absolutely amazed if Eustace got a Premier League gig at the moment. He has absolutely no evidence of being able to bring anything of instant success which is needed at that level. He has evidence of bringing clubs together, improving individuals but Premier League clubs want people who can come and deliver instant results. I am a big, big John Eustace fan but let's make no bones about it, the reason we aren't in League One now is 80% Sam Szmodics, 20% John Eustace.

You cannot ask more of the players again today. The defence was strong, we took our chances (obviously Gueye fancied an assist not the goal for the second), and our keeper made some good saves. It was very pleasing to see our lads ready to stand up for Ohashi when the bad tackle went in. Too often in the last few years it has been the other way around. 7 and 8 out of 10's all around again, I can get used to this!

I'm wondering if this January could see Sigurdsson moving on. You would guess he was on a pretty decent wage for our budget, that money could probably be better spent if money is tight in Jan. Eustace seems to want his wide players to do as much defensive work as attacking, it wouldn't really suit Siggy.

I agree with this, there seems to be no ego from Eustace or the players. We battle, work hard and keep the game simple. Russell Martin this season, Vincent Kompany last season seemed to push their own arrogance and ego at the detriment of their own players capabilities.

Thats fair, I expect they will give their all, but at probably 75% of their physical capabilities. The manager/players are starved of help, I appreciate their efforts. The owners are the problem for the lack of support but that is not for tonight after 4 straight wins.

I cannot ask any more of this group. We are in this position due to everybody absolutely putting all their effort into every game and by the looks of it training, also doing all that the manager asks of them. I will never ask for more than that.

Nothing surprises me with Waggott and his pricing. The only thing that actually does surprise me is that he hasn't really tried to maximise income yet and give Leeds etc the Jack Walker stand. He would try to spin it as being better for atmosphere ... I shouldn't give him ideas actually!

I've come to the conclusion that I'm just going to enjoy the wins regardless of the performance. We've got a team that tries but lacks overall quality, I think even though we lost Sammie making us weaker, overall we actually have a bench this season that makes the manager willing to make subs so we are a bit stronger. We will have some awful performances like the last 2 away games. We will have some games when all the inconsistent players click and have some really good wins. Overall it's going to be a season of grind. I can accept that with the chronic lack of investment the manager has to play with.

I think we are currently reaping the rewards of actually having a bench this season. In the 5 sub game, the opponents can sink you with the ability to freshen up with quality. I think that absolutely killed us last season.

When it's written down, it really does show how massively this club messed up the asset that BBD was. Although we all know the transfer fee received would have not come our way, so it kicked Venkys in the arse probably more so than the club.

The ref seemed to have decided any foul that wasn't a simple coming together was a yellow card. Cantwell and Weimann were both staggered at the yellow.
