In terms of playing, it's the end of his career at Rovers so the chapter is over. A few weeks of posturing over money then he goes elsewhere with a pay off most likely.

Something isn't right with set pieces at either end, for the last few games I watch our opponents take set pieces and I'm petrified. They look like scoring most times, I watch ours and they are atrocious and very rarely result in us getting anything on target. I feel we are back to Pears being found out.

It pains me to say it, but I think Hedges stays in the team to cover the full back rather than offer anything going forwards. It is the only logical answer I have. You watch most the balls played into our left full back area, it's Hedges up in the air winning it. The problem is he is offering nothing going forward these days.

I haven't seen him turn up for weeks!

Somebody could do with gripping Cantwell and telling him this is the last chance saloon. I expect him to come on and take ownership of the ball in these games. Awful game.

I feel underwhelmed because I think this could have been a push year. The manager has worked miracles with an extremely stretched squad, I think the league is as poor as it has been for years. We have more wriggle room than we have had for ages due to sales with regards to PSR. Next season is a blank canvas due to exits, I think we could have pushed the budget far harder than we have.

Seeing it was Boro got me thinking about Darragh Lenihan, I hadn't realised he missed pretty much all of last season and is doubtful to play for the rest of this season. Its a shame for the lad.

If this window fizzles out the way it's looking to be, it is gun to the head question for Waggott time. 1. Have have the owners turned the taps off? 2. Have you and your recruitment team blown another window? When will you resign?

I'm sitting this one out this year. Will check in tomorrow, be brave ladies and gentleman. I've started the day in a bad mood and I've got a feeling Waggott and Rudy won't improve it!

Watching from the 80th minute, if we don't have Trav or Tronstad in midfield we struggle to win another game. I thought we were going to blow that. Such a relief for a game we completely deserved to win overall. -

Keep that lad in and around the box. Him spraying balls around from the wing is madness!!!!! -
I bet Sky are absolutely devastated that they pumped all the money into this league. It is bloody awful for non followers of the league and it isn't great for the followers.

The standard of goalkeeping has fallen off a cliff in the last few years. I'd say you see a clanger every round of fixtures even in the Premier League this season. I don't think Pears will be going anywhere but I'd also have said there is no chance on earth Christian Walton and Jason Steele would play in the Premier League. Shows what I know.

You say it like they were on the interview panel. This is Venkys Blackburn Rovers you, I or no other fan has a say.

If we could have signed two players just so they never scored against us it would be Emile Heskey and Nakki Wells. It's crazy how often they seem to have scored against us. -
Would it be terribly inconvenient for them to try and sign some people with however little money we do have? I'm not naive with our budgets it will highly likely be low, but you can forward plan and bring in the best you can with the little you have got. You can force the hand of a club desperate for finances. I get why we go late into deadline day because some decent quality players become available last minute when they are surplus at their club due to imcomings. BUT that doesn't mean you can not have some nearly pre agreed deals for the window opening when your squad was struggling and needing help by Jan 1st before the injuries really started.

I wouldn't attribute Coventry had done their homework on Toth as such, I'd say they are just very good at set pieces. We've seen it at Ewood with them 2 seasons ago when they scored with the last kick of the game, they took a stream of some best corners I'd seen in a short period of play in that match. -

We really aren't far off needing those "bench filling youngsters". Fuck you Venkys! -

Just an expected January game at Rovers, the opponents stroll in and out of Ewood without getting out of 2nd gear. They did nothing yet looked absolutely comfortable in the game. A quick request to Steve and Co. Can we have a half season ticket starting at the start of the season and ending when you lot all wrap your tits in. -

Cantwell needs to realise very quickly we are in a dog fight for the rest of the season. The cavalry isn't coming! -

Watching Coventry wiping the ball in off corners and putting our defence under serious pressure further reminds me just how awful our set pieces have been for years. -
The Andy Bayes interview is bizarre, it has clarified that Eustace is "head coach not manager". I can with a degree of confidence assume that means he recommends players but it is then up to the fuckwits upstairs to agree then sign said players or generally sign who they want. I'm not sure why anybody would want to be head coach here, as every January when it's somebody else's job to back us we fall apart.

Andy Bayes has confirmed on twitter as expected Mcfadzean is talking to another club. Garrett and O'Riodran will be going back out on loan. Obviously as even more expected he said nothing about incomings.
