  1. Ennis is becoming a bit of a worry, fans of Plymouth said he struggled with his fitness. The hope is we were well aware of this and giving him time to get fit enough to play in this team.
  2. With the added problem of 99p and a packet of chewing gum being given to the transfer budget from the sale.
  3. After a summer in which its safe to say any additional spending has very much been limited. It would be hard to think this chap has been sent in as their trusted finance chap, to find ways of getting more money into the club. As others have said, the hope is that his professional opinion is cut losses and sell. If they do that he will be my favourite ever Venkys appointment.
  4. If he could finish he would be deadly, the amount of chances he gets is incredible really.
  5. If I was looking to blame anybody I'd say fans would be pretty damn low on my list actually. We've now got the delight to put up with alongside having shite owners, the 3 people running the day to day (Sw, GB, JDT) seem to be as able as 3 under 6 years olds agreeing on what to do. Oh the joys of supporting Rovers!
  6. The weird thing is, the centre halves seem quite okay at Pears coming charging out and "trying" to sort the problem. It has ended disastrously on many occasions, somebody needs to take ownership when those long aimless balls get hoofed up ... Not Pears!!
  7. I read Nicklas Bendtners autobiography on holiday recently and he had quite abit to say about JDT and his use of the press. I can see quite a few examples of this, I think at times whilst maybe justified there is a big difference between being a player and being a manager when speaking to the press.
  8. Can only echo what I've said all season. I cannot ask anymore of the players or staff. They have an outstanding work ethic that I dare say most other clubs who have basket case owners could wish for. A message to the owners would be that JDT is their best hope of cutting ties with us. Some investment now could be the best thing they do to see the back of us.
  9. It's a game where very little is learned really, I thought the spirit and effort was very good and think we deserved a point. The spirit was a huge plus point last year too. I thought the defence looked very poor and if the long ball over the top gets that reaction every game we will have some very tough afternoons. I've spent too many hours moaning about bringing in reinforcements, as have many others (see the transfer thread!!!!!). If we don't bring in some help we will be burnt out by November.
  10. I refuse to judge Leonard yet, the lad should have help and be brought along as any young lad should. Leading the line is borderline unfair at this stage of his career.
  11. Just another game I've watched where I'm so proud of the lads and pray the owners/ people running the day to day give them the help with backing JDT to get help with some numbers into the squad.
  12. I work shifts and miss a number of games so I try to follow somebody summarising the action on twitter for those games. I actually have always rated Rich Sharpes summarising as he is far more honest than the official Rovers output. Now he has left the LT does anybody know who to follow for live updates of the match action?
  13. A Wharton and Ennis not going to Austria. Staying back at Brockhall to work on fitness according to Sharpe.
  14. I think the shop site has crashed. I'm not sure if they have any extra stock to sell though. Good old Rovers!
  15. There must be lots of fans like me, shift worker so naturally miss games but usually attend 10/12 games a year, so spend circa of £250. I would happily spend an extra £50/£70 to buy a season ticket. It's quite easy for me to not attend midweek and still see the game on the red button. Surely the club know that!?! As I've said above if season tickets were priced at say £299- £329 I'd happily hand over the cash now and the club need not worry if I attend those blustery February midweek games or not AND they've actually got MORE money annually off me. Surely there are many people in the same position as me.
  16. Am I right in thinking the lad who scored the winner was the one taking those deadly corners against us? Can't half strike a ball!
  17. That stat for me was one of the most frustrating of the season. We never took the risk enough of Brereton or Gallagher getting their heads onto a cross. Its such a huge part of the game yet we never seemed to try it as an option. I'd be interested to know our stats for goals from set pieces too, as they to my mind that would be pretty woeful return too. Having a dangerous set piece taker next season could be huge.
  18. About the fairest summing up anybody could give. That second half performance yesterday was him at his very best, cutting in from outside and bending the ball in and making runs to the back post. The fact he couldn't do it at any point in the last 10 games other than the last 45 minutes, just adds to the what might have been on his Rovers career.
  19. I was expecting a horror show, the last 10 games is what I expected for the majority of the season, so I'm fairly pleased with how well we have done. I've seen us limp out of so many competitions with a whimper so the Sheff Utd game gave me pride. The lads needed help in January and from what I've seen that was even managed to be messed up without Venkys direct involvement. We are cursed for sure, we have been kicked in the balls but I can't harbour too much disdain for the players or manager.
  20. These players were hung out to dry in January. There are 4/5 players in that starting line up who in their hearts of hearts know they should be dropped but also know there is nobody else. That is the underlying factor, they needed help. We all already knew they had a past of bottling it!!
  21. Hopefully this jump in income will trigger a slashing of matchday and season ticket prices like John Williams did when the Premier League received a new Sky windfall. Maybe not! All jokes aside I have never and will never understand how having more bums on seats can't be more profitable, when selling bigger numbers for a smaller price. Even if the numbers work out the same, more supporters is better than less supporters!
  22. I wouldn't be against it if we brought in a Gestede style forward. Him out wide with nobody to aim for makes him a pointless signing.
  23. He offers very similar qualities to Ryan Giles who was here last season and looked useless. I'm pretty sure Giles is topping the assist charts again this season. I'm seeing a theme.
