  1. There cannot be ANY football club in the land that has to deal with this shit year in year out. Players and manager busting their balls, January comes all of them desperate for help and they get the middle finger from the owners. Their shitbag mates making excuses for them in early Feb ... rinse and repeat.
  2. That turned into the game I think we all feared. Too much football for a squad without depth, our most important player now injured. Generally the only positive being Buckley had a better game than I thought he had in him these days. Bad day at the office.
  3. Really going to need to use the squad playing 3 games in 6 days. Eustace must surely have thought he would have had some more game ready signings in for this run of winnable fixtures. The players have seldom let us down this season, fatigue is going to catch up soon. I'd be very happy with a draw today.
  4. I said it after the derby defeat and it probably sounded like sour grapes but I stand by it, if we had been in the Premier League 8 out of the last 10 seasons and that was the quality of squad we had amassed I'd be gutted. Millions and millions spent and they never look like scoring.
  5. If you are a Dingle, James Trafford is a legend. The Sunderland lad looked petrified taking the first never mind the second pen.
  6. That rat bringing his son to the club was just a power flex. The lad was barely a professional footballer yet signed for a Premier League club. Yet Sky Sports give him an audience to cry his crocodile tears, I'm fizzing just thinking about it again.
  7. If I'm being absolutely honest, I've sat through every single transfer window thinking surely we are going to sign a goal scorer since we sold Adam Armstrong. I'm still waiting. I'm not even meaning a £10m striker, I mean taking a punt on League One or League Two's top goalscorers or something similar from abroad if we are skint. We have signed nobody with anything like a scoring record at any level for window after window. From past interviews Waggott always drips about how hard transfers are to do in January, so I'm just giving up now expecting one rather than refreshing twitter all day on deadline day thinking surely ...
  8. What are the chances that the "injured" Sigurdsson plays within a week of signing for a new club?
  9. The owners phone is off the hook. Likely to be picked up in about 3 weeks for a few cheap loans. Said loans to play about 20 games between them, mostly off the bench. I've seen this one before.
  10. Agreed, the only slight bit of positivity I can take from yesterday is if that is as good a team you can muster after the majority of the last decade in the top flight you won't be up there for much longer.
  11. Oooo a bit of Latin too, ramping up the condescending tone, bravo!
  12. We are going to fly up the league when we remove this Tronstad fella.
  13. Ultimately just a galling defeat. Our passing was a killer today. Giving the ball away on the few breaks we had, awful set pieces and crossing. They had one chance and I'd say it was our only semi mistake at the back, as I thought Brittain (who had a good game) was balanced to clear it far more effectively than Hyam. I've got nothing to say about those bastards.
  14. I'd happily take a dodgy decision, let's not forget we had a perfectly good goal ruled out at Turd Moor this season. That would have been a 2-1 win.
  15. Under these owners I've learned to enjoy the good times. I'm enjoying this season, as I can't ask more of the playing side of the club when you think of total spend on players. I'll have enough time to be miffed with club goings on.
  16. Another excellent team effort. We could easily have curled up and sulked after a questionable penalty, it would have been easy with how knackered the lads are but they doubled down and worked and got their reward. The defence was excellent, I've been really impressed with Batth. I loved how Hyam ran off for the goal and had everybody thinking he scored. Superb organising by Mr Eustace again. Bravo!
  17. We looked a thin, underfunded squad. We were a thin, underfunded squad that missed some clear cut chances also. Some really poor performances out there today.
  18. When we create loads of chances like today and Stoke, we can't score. We have games with barely any chances and win. Make it make sense!
  19. I would guess he wouldn't be on great wages if he hasn't signed another contract beyond being here for 8 months. He has highly likely achieved all his wage rise triggers for appearances etc but you have to think he would only be a mid earner at the club. It is a bizarre situation really with all his Champ experience he hasn't wanted to earn more here or push for a move by categorically confirming he wants out, which would benefit both parties.
  20. Has Dolan ever actually signed a new contract here? He must be on pretty grim money if he is still on the same contract and tiered rises he signed for when he was let go by PNE.
  21. We are 5th in the league, fair do's to this group, outstanding effort. Ainsley Pears, I hammered you last season (fairly), but you have been one of our top performers this season. We really need Harry Leonard to find fitness and form to stay in and around this position as I think he is the only natural finisher at the club.
  22. I'm more than ready for an almighty crash. I'm also enjoying the moment too.
  23. Nothing warms my heart more than a full Ewood. It takes me back to the glory years, even if it just lasts 90 minutes I remember the good days.
  24. I would be absolutely amazed if Eustace got a Premier League gig at the moment. He has absolutely no evidence of being able to bring anything of instant success which is needed at that level. He has evidence of bringing clubs together, improving individuals but Premier League clubs want people who can come and deliver instant results. I am a big, big John Eustace fan but let's make no bones about it, the reason we aren't in League One now is 80% Sam Szmodics, 20% John Eustace.
  25. You cannot ask more of the players again today. The defence was strong, we took our chances (obviously Gueye fancied an assist not the goal for the second), and our keeper made some good saves. It was very pleasing to see our lads ready to stand up for Ohashi when the bad tackle went in. Too often in the last few years it has been the other way around. 7 and 8 out of 10's all around again, I can get used to this!
