  1. Feeling pretty confident about this one, they are struggling in the Fizzy pop championship and if we have both dickov and starting i can feel maybe a 2-0 result to us. cant see them causing too many problems especially as our defence has tightened so much in the last couple of months Prediction: 2-0 Stead and Nelsen (he's had so many headers from corners, he must score soon) Attendance: 22,812
  2. another well educated report from ESPN Soccernet quoting Mr Stead scoring: "And the way you took your goal on Sunday against Everton shows what a talent you are. I was so impressed. You hadn't scored since April, were in the middle of the mother of all goal droughts, and yet you were still confident enough to slam that low shot past Brad Friedel from 20 yards. Wonderful. " Oh well, at least he made team of the week!
  3. isn't it funny how many people slated steven reid in the 3 worst players topic and now he's played a blinder, he's come on a lot since sparky has taken over. should easily keep his place for next sunday
  4. come on steadinho!!!! unexpected 3 points, lets keep them, 14th place here we come
  5. The Baggies have just taken the lead against Brum which I think is a thoroughly good thing- makes it more likely we will overtake Brum come the end of the season. I think Sparky has it spot on with three wins to see us to safety. To those who disagree, let me explain: EVEN if we loose the other eight games (no more draws) we would end the season on 37 points. To get Rovers relegated, Southampton would have to achieve at least W4 D1 L4 from their remaining nine games AND Palace would have to achieve at least W3 D2 L4 from their remaining nine games. BOTH these sides have at least three games against teams in the top five to come. They would BOTH need one more draw and one less defeat each NOT to rely on goal difference to send us down. So in the next nine games, are you saying you expect that BOTH Palace and Southampton will only loose three? If not, three more wins is the correct target for Rovers. 2-0 now, kevin campbell, west brom are playing a lot better than birmingham. where are they without a certain welshman!
  6. 1. Bedford Town (local team from home, in the unibond league) 2. Luton Town (nearest decent team to me + also newell connection) 3. Manchester City (Nearest team to me at the mo - im not going to support the scummers) 4. Peterbrough United (if only for Barry Fry) 5. Stockport County (only out of pity - how carlton palmer has helped)
  7. Is he coming back? lol very good paul does he mean the biggest game in glasgow. cant be one of the biggest games in the world. is it bigger than barcelona vs real madrid or inter milan vs ac milan or arsenal vs man u or more importantly blackburn vs burnley! i doubt it
  8. i thought only miracles happened at christmas, please go amo!
  9. looks like a solid team, nice to see nissa instead of matteo. interesting to see how gally does today
  10. Only Mr Chris Moyles has predicted that we win. However he is bottom of the prediction league. Predictions
  11. when did it get started on a debate about southerners being idiots! Maybe you people are generalising about us lot. id prefer to be southern over being northern any day of the week and also there's a lot of things i could say about northern people i could say but im not going to post my "arrogant" views on here. Getting back to topic i think savage is a good buy, better than ferguson was. also i think are set pieces now look half deadly as ewll
  12. Forest away sounds like a good game. We are number 3 in the draw if anyone decides to watch it. Anyone know when it is??
  13. Blackburn v Colchester Phil Parkinson has done really well at Colchester. But I think this game is ideal for Blackburn to bounce back after losing to Bolton on Monday. Colchester will be competitive but I think Rovers will have too much class. (taken from BBC) Mark Lawrenson is expecting us to win. This is a turn up for the books!
  14. Feel good about this one as only Chelsea and Manchester United have collected more points over the last five Premiership matches than BRFC. We do seem be the form team at the moment. This is a massive game for us, apart from being a local derby if we win could leapfrog that big team birmingham, pompey and be level on points on fulham. Also we would only be 1 point behind the barcodes (that is if they lose today which they are going the right way about it)
  15. hasnt been given one yet but will probably be something like 30, 31 or 32 as all the rest have been taken. Number 3 is also available but i doubt he would want that
  16. friedel is rovers through and through but you cant have goalie as a keeper. Savage/Moekana and Nelsron are coming straight into our side and cant be considered yet. Personally i would vote for Todd or giving back to flitty (if he gets in the team - was a great captain)
  17. Anyone seen how the premiership debutants have played today?
  18. Tsunami Appeal! Well done to all that gave before the match before charlton. Sure that will help a little for all that has happened.
  19. blackburn to win 2-1 (Stead and Barry & Kluivert for them) Only 3 points will between us and GS
