We should not be accepting offers of £20 million for Brererton in January with the table and our performances looking as healthy as they are. I personally dont think we will sell in January but if they do sell him for £20 million this season then the owners will deserve every bit of abuse they get.

Be stupid selling for £20 million in january if we are still sitting pretty in a play off place. With another year left on his deal we are likely to get bids of 15 million in the summer anyway so it is worth the risk of losing out on 5 million if we dont get promoted. And if Sevilla do come in in the january window we say "Sorry Ben you are under contract and we have a chance of promotion, we will look at things again in the summer" Plus Sevilla have had a link via Nixon, they could be looking at him but are they going to nearly match or better their transfer record to sign a player from the Championship?

I mention he has 7 or 8 goal involvements.You dismiss it.I then say he has 3 assists and you say that isnt great for an attacking midfielder in a free scoring side.I then mention 3 assists is joint second for the team this season and you start banging on that he would have started more games than the others. I mention he has played multiple positions this season.You dismiss that also and compare him with Gallagher and Dolan who play as part of a front 3 when selected. Plus we had mowbray saying last summer he didnt want to talk about contract extensions with the pandemic yet he still brought in 12 players that summer through loans ,free transfers and permanents.That 2k a week we spent on trybull could have been added to Nyambes package. More game time shifted all over the place,Dolan and Gallagher play in the front 3. Yesterday you play down his goal involvments yet without him on the field those goals may not have happened.He has won the ball back countless times for us.And the stats will show he is worth his place in the team. We will agree to disagree but lads who see him everyday(including Dack) talk about how much talent he has not my problem you cant see it

He has played rb, right wing back, as part of a 3 in midfield,behind the striker and false 9 so yes you may be correct he has played a lot but not always as an attacking midfielder

Buckley is joint 2nd with with Dolan and Gallagher with 3 assists with only Rothwell doing better with 6. We will just have to agree to disagree but imo Buckley has a big future will only get better with more game time like Brererton

If my posts appear that i am saying no blame is attached to the owners then i apologise for coming across wrong as of course i do think it is the overall responsibility of the owners to ensure we dont get put in a situation like this. From various reports it would seem our highest earners are on 17/18 grand a week.If Rothwell and Lenihen are looking for that or over it, id argue they aint worth that certainly in the case of Rothwell prior to this season and although i think we are a stronger side with Lenihen in the team , i do not think he has pushed on and as an individual i think better could be found on the market . Other teams with similar income in this division wont be paying their players 20+ a week.

I wouldnt sell them either but if say Rothwell agreed with Rangers in January that he would sign on a free transfer when his contract is up do we think he would be giving 100% the last few months of his deal here or would we be listening to the manager telling us Lenihen, Nyambe and Rothwell have been left out due to their heads not being right? Like you say we are likely to recieve peanuts if we do cash in on those 3 in January, but keeping them we aint guaranteed they will be busting a gut for us either
