I think a poster, or posters, with close links to the family have suggested that Adam didn’t want the move. With no knowledge, my thoughts are that he loves Rovers and would have liked to stay but financial pragmatism meant that he was never going to turn such a move down.

To be fair, this was my take as well. Yes, as a Rovers fan, I would have probed and pushed harder but for someone with no affiliation with Rovers, I thought he tried to raise the reported issues.

Andy Bayes and Elliott Jackson should be all over this, constantly asking when the promised January window review will be provided, by Swag or Greg the 🥚.

Hello gaffer, I’m really ill and won’t be in today 😊

My pal is a Boro fan and so I went to Dumpdale with him the other week. Boro played the Knobbers off the park but somehow conspired to lose it, they looked a bit like us under JDT, played some really good stuff. I can’t see our soft lot going up there and keeping a clean sheet and so, I am expecting nothing from the game.

Don’t forget Swag was also on record as saying that relegation this year would be disastrous, it being on the cusp of the anticipated significant extra cash from the new EFL deal. You reap, what you sow and we can blame JDT, Eustace, players but relegation would be squarely at the hands of Swag and his Indian paymasters 😡

You beat me to it, thought exactly the same when reading Chaddy’s post.

He would have taken us into the play offs, and posssibly up last year, with a modicum of backing in January. Before depletion of a paper thin squad through injuries, we were on the cusp of the play offs and playing the best football at Ewood for many a year, this on a financial shoestring. Yes, we were on a horror run but no way would we have gone down under JDT, we would have won matches and finished top half.

Greg the egg working to do deals, in blissful ignorance of financial parameters and Venkys / Swag pulling the plug.

Despite the awful run we were on, I never once considered relegation a real worry under JDT. We were losing, badly sometimes, but we were still creating chances and playing some good football and I am certain that with players returning and had he been backed in January, we would have ended top half. Given Swag’s intervention in all things, we now look certain to drop into the League one abyss.

Staying up is all that matters, it doesn’t look like Eustace and these players will achieve this.

He gets bigged up after the odd good game but he’s normally hopeless, just a poor player. Fits in really well with the rest of the dross.

Is that possible ? Mowbray had me wanting to slit my wrists after most of his pre and post match ramblings.

On the way out last night, I was lamenting our pathetic record of grabbing something at the death and contrasted to Ipswich Town. Looked at my phone and they were losing with ten to go and once more turned it around with goals at the death. That is what tells you that a team has players fighting and believing, something we haven’t seen for a long time in the blue and white halves 😡

My pal is a long time Newport County fan and really knows his stuff. When we signed O’Riordan he texted me and said he was a good player and had their CF in his pocket unlike the Man Utd defence in their recent cup tie. I think we need fresh legs and if you’re good enough, you’re old enough. With O’Riordan and Billy we would certainly have some extra height in the team, which might be useful at both ends. For me, Hyam has been exceptionally poor this season.

I’ve been around long enough to know that is very likely but let’s not wish it happens ! Let’s at least hope that the players put a shift in and somehow get an unexpected win.

Nailed it. Average, even poor players can go a long way and get results when up for it and fighting until their last breath.
